  1. It's an emotional watch, but man...... I just can't wait for the day when the Playoffs become an expectation and winning a Super Bowl is the emotional part.......
  2. Depending on the scope of this, it could go a long ways to whether they build a new stadium or renovate the current one. Imagine the state of the art stadium they would build with a full blown casino! I know the article says it's for sports-betting, but who's to say it would stop there in the future. If they planned on this, or really any form of gambling, I don't want to hear anything about the public funding it up front as the fans would end up funding it through losing money gambling fast enough. A bunch of drunk people gambling in the stadium? Sounds like a great way for the team to make money and fund their own stadium to me.
  3. There are plenty of names on this list that can be let go without a problem. I know Bills fans aren't used to having real NFL talent as depth, but that is the way good teams are structured. Finally we will have capable replacements if someone goes down and the talent won't just fall off a cliff. Welcome back to having a real NFL roster, guys.......
  4. This is pretty straight forward for me, actually. Give me Ed Oliver in the 1st and Hakeem Butler in the 2nd (or a slight trade up). I am hoping we can close the deal with Ansah and have him running off the edge with Hughes. We have our run stuffer in the middle with Star and if we can get a 3rd disruptive force in there with Oliver, our D will be ready for prime time. I like our depth with the Phillips boys as well. I am of the opinion that I am not sure any WRs in this class will ever be ELITE, but I think there are a lot of guys that will be very good for a long time. I think Hakeem Butler with his size and speed has a chance to be a very good one.
  5. Not only that, but during the Senior Bowl, he clocked in at over 66mph. There has never been another QB that has been officially measured to top 61.
  6. Adam Schefter‏Verified account @AdamSchefter 33s34 seconds ago Le’Veon Bell’s four-year deal with the New York Jets has a max value of $61 million and includes $35 million guaranteed, per source.
  7. Albert Breer‏Verified account @AlbertBreer 2m2 minutes ago Le'Veon Bell had over $15 million per on the table with the Steelers in July. Walked away from $14.54 million after that. Not great decision-making.
  8. He took a pay cut by taking last year off and not signing the contract that the Steelers originally offered. He deserved it.
  9. Was hoping he would end up somewhere else just because of the stupid Jets fans, but it is what it is. No need to be afraid of the Jets offense.
  10. Not worried about him, or any RB, for that matter. You can find good backs to win with anywhere.
  11. Adam Schefter‏Verified account @AdamSchefter 5s5 seconds ago Former Steelers’ RB Le’Veon Bell plans to sign with…the New York Jets, a league source tells ESPN And the wait is finally over..... Pretty blah....... Not really concerned about him at all. Hopefully they paid him a ton.....
  12. Kevin Massare has never gotten anything right. Just a terrible "source" and just makes stuff up all the time.
  13. Sal Capaccio ?‏Verified account @SalSports To add to Tim’s report, I’ve been told by source with direct knowledge of events that that conversation/phone call from Giants to Bills took place last week.
  14. Tim Graham‏Verified account @ByTimGraham 5s5 seconds ago Source directly involved: Giants reached out to Bills to measure interest in Odell Beckham. Bills did not reach out to Giants about trading for him. Another confirmation that the Bills were contacted by the Giants..... As I said above, were the Bills just not interested? Do they have something else working behind the scenes? IF they were going after Brown, it seems like they should have been interested in OBJ. Who knows......
  15. John Wawrow‏Verified account @john_wawrow 2m2 minutes ago I’m hearing it was the #NYFootballGiants who contacted the #Bills to gauge their interest in OBJ. Not the other way around. Wondering what happened here. Did the Bills say they weren't interested? Did the Bills just not want to pay the price? Do the Bills have something else cooking instead? Interesting if this is true.
  16. Not sure how reliable this account is. Not saying it isn't true, but use caution.......
  17. I'm not sure why talks didn't materialize with the Bills and Giants, but I'm actually a little mad at OBD. With what the Browns paid, there is no reason we couldn't have beaten that offer. I would have gladly given 9, a 3rd, and X up for OBJ. I know he's a headcase at times, but he is one of the best. A little frustrated we didn't make a better run at this.
  18. Not overly familiar with him, but Raiders fans on Twitter are very disappointed that he got away.......
  19. Chris Mortensen‏Verified account @mortreport The @Bills add to their O-line with former Raiders guard Jon Feliciano agreeing to a two-year deal. #BillsMafia
  20. There is none. Has not happened. No mention of it on Twitter at all. May well happen as it sounds like they are bidding against themselves, but it hasn't become official yet.
  21. I'm one who definitely hates paying RBs big money. I think you can find a good one that you can win with just about anywhere. But, the longer this goes, I think Bell signing with the Bills would be fun to watch (on the field, but mostly the Jets fans going bananas because they thought it was a done deal) and I don't think it would hurt us financially at all. I am looking at the way Beane and company are structuring all of these contracts they are signing. They are front loading them with a bunch of guaranteed money which makes it super easy to get out of the later years with virtually no financial commitment. If they keep doing this, the salary cap will never really be an issue. And with Bell, you could realistically do the same thing by signing him to a 4 year deal, jamming all the money in the first couple years, and walk away from him when you need to with no issues. Nice having an owner that can sign multiple contracts with big up front money. Really helps in getting guys here and maintaining cap flexibility. Did I mention how fun it would be to watch the Jets fans jump off a bridge?
  22. Regardless of whether he starts or not, along with all of the other players we have signed now, we are drastically flipping the depth of this team. For the first time in a long time, we have had money to go out and build depth at multiple positions. In the last 2 days, we have turned over almost 1/5 of our roster. And this is without Free Agency officially starting and the draft still to come. Maybe, just maybe when someone gets hurt now, our talent doesn't fall off a cliff. Competition and depth is good to have.
