  1. Asked the same thing earlier. Saw him during a TO, but I am not sure if I have seen him on the field. But I haven't checked the snap counts yet, so not sure what is going on there.
  2. That was probably the best defensive TO McDermott has ever taken. And, as much as I rail on him for doing it so often, I am thrilled with that one. Our defense had no idea what the play call was and they were a complete mess. Could have resulted in a TD with so much miscommunication out there. He saw it and fixed it. The fact they got the stop is great, but for once this TO wasn't to get a look at what the offense was doing, but rather to fix the call.
  3. Yeah.....the result is better, but I was just making the point about our lack of preparation in even the easiest things. After looking at it again, I do thing there was 12 on the field so it saved a new set of downs which is obviously great, but that should never have to happen.
  4. Even if it was, it isn't much better. Poor coaching either way.
  5. Honestly, that is a big win for this defense.
  6. And now we're taking TOs on FG attempts. Never change McDermott.....never change.
  7. Has anyone spotted Hairston yet? I haven't seen him take a snap yet.
  8. What a difference having real WRs makes....... Speed and talent all over just lets guys run free. Helps going against a trash defensive scheme like we have, but the point remains. Talented WRs open up the entire field.
  9. And now we're just going to give free yards to the Chiefs because of flags we will never see replays for.
  10. Once again.....no WR that Allen can count on to just get open off the line..... You can't beat good teams with no WR weapons.
  11. For whatever reason, after the 4th game of the season Cook was taken completely out of the passing game. He was averaging like 3-4 catches a game and now he's not even on the field, let alone being targeted. It truly is baffling not to have your 2nd best offensive player (and best weapon) on the field on the most important downs.
  12. Really nice play design there. Just have to tip your cap sometimes. That said, it should have never happened because we should have been off the field if it wasn't for a bogus holding call on Bishop.
  13. Major holds happening on the Chiefs line, but they are not calling them, of course.
  14. Expecting Poyer to run with Rice is just death.....
  15. Right decision to go for it. But this is what happens when you don't have that WR1 that you can count on to make the play when you need it. Regardless, stay aggressive and keep making this decisions to go. I do miss just throwing the ball to Cook in space and letting him go to work, but apparently, he is not an option in the pass game anymore.
  16. Good start by the offense. But we have all seen this before. The script coming out is great, but then things fall apart. We'll see if they can keep it up because it's going to take a lot of points to win today.
  17. Can't go 1 play without a penalty against us. Buckle up..... Gonna be a long day with the flags.
  18. Stay healthy. Play hard. Play smart. WIN! GO BILLS!!!!
  19. Alright guys....a Bills victory has been virtually guaranteed. Just placed the biggest moneyline bet I have ever placed against the Bills. So, I have done my part to try to bring us a win. Ugh....I really hope I lose the money.
  20. Yup. Feeling this way all week. Outside of the first meeting with them in that AFC Championship game where I knew they had more talent than we did at the time, all other games have felt like toss ups to me. In all of these previous match-ups, I knew we could keep up on the scoreboard but it was always a matter to whether or not the defense could force them to punt enough. Obviously in the Playoffs, we haven't been able to do that, but that was always the main question. Going into this one, I am not sure we can do enough on either side of the ball. We're banged up and missing our best defensive player. We are only heading into the 2nd game for a lot of these reinforcements that just showed up that we are counting heavily on so who knows where that is. On offense, our WRs are an absolute mess and can't get open. Not only that, but every pass seems to be at the LOS or in the short areas. We haven't had a completed pass of 20+ air yards all year it seems when we used to feast on those in the past before Brady took over the offense. While our run game has been really good, Brady has forgotten about Cook in the passing game which makes things even tougher. We struggle in big moments against this team as it is, but I fully expect in this game that KC is going to play press a lot, blitz a ton, and stack the box to stop Cook. They are going to force our WRs to prove they can get open consistently down the field before they back off and I just don't foresee that happening. So yeah.....this is the first time in a while where I don't see us stepping on the field with them as equals. If you say the QBs are a wash, their weapons are WAY better than ours, their defense is much better, and their coaches own our coaches until proven differently. I don't have a great feeling about the game, but all that said, is there a chance we find a way to win? Yup. But it doesn't feel the same as it has over the last few years for sure.
  21. There are so many thoughts on this game and how it could go. And honestly, I can see just about every outcome myself. While I don't see a road to us blowing them out, I think every other outcome is on the table. A close win, a close loss, or a blowout loss. As I sit here now, I am leaning towards a probable loss. I just think we are too banged up and out of sync on offense to beat them. Could we win? Of course we can. It's football and these teams know each other so well. But I think that, as much as Brady downplays it, and Beane laughs it off, the need for a real WR (more like 2 real WRs) is just too glaring and I think there is a chance we really get exposed tomorrow on the outside. Not sure what Coleman's yardage number is, but I am hammering the under. He may catch a ball or 2, but it is going to be for modest yardage. A screen or 2.....maybe a slant if they are feeling frisky, but I see nothing for him down the field. And with Palmer out, we just don't have anyone they have to worry about down the field. Sure, Shakir could get a few balls, but I think the WR production, like it has pretty much all season, is going to be nonexistent. In the passing game, I think our success will have to be with our TEs and RBs. Unfortunately, Brady has forgotten about Cook as a receiver with no targets in the last 3 games and 1 in the last 4 or something like that. That's not going to get it done. But yeah....I see the Chiefs stacking the box to stop Cook, pressing our WRs, blitzing a ton forcing our WRs to have to win and win quick. And that is probably not going to go well if the last few weeks are any indication....and I think they are. However, while I don't have huge expectations for tomorrow, a lot can change by the end of the season. That said, I am using this game to give the Chiefs a taste of their own medicine. What usually happens in recent years is that we go all out during the regular season to do whatever it takes to pull out a win while the Chiefs seem to take what we do, formulate a plan, and change their approach in the Playoffs to show us stuff we didn't see in the regular season meeting. So, my plan is to do a little of that ourselves tomorrow. While it sounds like a terrible idea for our chances to win tomorrow, and it may seem like I am throwing him under the bus, I am having Babich call the entire game on defense. I don't want any input from McDermott. Just let Babich do what he wants and what happens, happens. BUT, in doing so, I am making the call now that McDermott calls the entire game in the Playoffs if/when we meet. It is very obvious that when McDermott calls the plays on defense, it looks much different on the field. So, save that for the Playoffs. Every time we play them in the Playoffs, we never show anything different. We do the same things we do in the regular season because we have had success against them, but the Chiefs are too good at adjusting. You almost need 2 entirely different game plans and approaches to have a chance so this is one way to do it. Will this happen? Of course not! I say all this is a semi-joking manner, but the premise is right. Whatever happens tomorrow.....win, loss, great defense, bad defense, great offense, bad offense, whatever it is.......flush it. Do something completely different in the Playoffs if we see them again.
  22. First off, I doubt very much that he is available for trade or will be traded. That said, there are reports out there that if he was to be traded that it would "take a first and then some". Well, if that's the case and he can be had for that price, I am all for it. I'll give up a 1 this year, their choice of WR not named Shakir, and a mid round pick the following year. He really is the exact type of WR we need. True X, plays the boundary, can take the top off defenses, proved he could do it as a rookie last year without a real QB, and still cost controlled on a rookie contract/5th year option for several more years. He is absolutely worth that price and if the Jags are open to that, I want to be first in line. All that said, he most likely isn't getting traded......at least at this point in the middle of a season.
  23. I want this to be true even if the Saints aren't trading him for the simple reason that it shows Beane understands the need for a WR1 on this team. Now, Meyers........not even remotely as interesting. But if he's calling on Olave, hopefully that means he's calling on other bigger name WRs. But, of course, as already mentioned calling on and being in on are 2 very different things. He could call the Vikings about JJ, but that doesn't mean they are in on acquiring him. We'll see what happens, if anything, but a trade for a true WR1 is very difficult to pull off this time a year. But I think there is a real chance our WRs get exposed again tomorrow as not being able to get open down the field and that should only increase the urgency. But who knows..... I just wish we could get some further confirmation that this report is even true. She seems to be the only one saying it as of now.
  24. They may have been going into today, but I dare anyone to tell me they still are after watching KC's offense and their weapons just run wild all over the field today. They literally may have 4 pass catchers better than anything we have in Rice, Worthy, Brown, and Kelce. Throw in JuJu and Thorton and top to bottom, they may have the most weapons on a single team with Mahomes at QB. And their defense is 10x what we have and even more-so in the playoffs when the games matter. I don't think I can listen to any argument about any other AFC team, right now barring injuries, that has a better chance at making the Super Bowl and take it seriously. This is not to throw shade at our team. I think we can still make a run. But we don't have a defense that can slow them down and Allen doesn't have the same weapons to keep up in a shootout..... Just the way it is.
