  1. Yup....as soon as we got good, they took it away.
  2. I mean, we've all said it in this thread, but there is no way Mahomes has a high ankle sprain. That injury prevents guys from walking and puts them in a boot where they don't have a chance to play for multiple weeks. Mahomes is out there running normally with no limp (except for the couple plays that don't go their way). He may have twisted an ankle or something, but he had nothing more than a mild ankle sprain. No way you will convince me otherwise.
  3. I mean, we all see it.....they aren't even trying to hide it anymore. It's one of the reasons I will never pick the Bills to beat the Chiefs in the Playoffs until it actually happens. They get every call in every crucial situation. It's hard enough to beat them on their own, but when the refs are just there to act as a failsafe for them, I don't see how anyone could pick against them when it matters most in the Playoffs.
  4. You knew that bailout was coming.....
  5. Von has been OK this year. He's shown flashes of what he used to be while also showing his age and injury history at times. Is he worth the money we're paying him right now? No, obviously not. That said, this season, and every year that Allen is our QB, is about one thing......the Super Bowl. If we are blessed enough to get there and have a chance to win it, if Von makes the play that wins us out first Super Bowl, he will have been worth every penny. It could be 1 play......but if it's the biggest play in franchise history? Yeah.....it will have been all worth it. So, to me, Von's story isn't written here yet. I'll get back to you when he leaves the team or retires. Or.....I'll get back to you if we win the Super Bowl in February.
  6. As someone who grew up watching football from the early 80s, it has always been the Dolphins for me. Yes, I hated the Pats* with a passion, probably on the same level, but it was different. Today, I don't really hate a lot of teams. But I do despise certain fan bases which translates into hate for those cities. A lot of those fan bases like the Chiefs, Ravens, Bengals, Eagles, and of course the Dolphins, are just the dirt worst. So arrogant and entitled which in turn brings delusion and I can't stand fans that can't look at things objectively. I mean, the Chiefs fans went 50 years without winning anything and all of a sudden they think they are owed the Super Bowl every year and that Mahomes will always be the best of all time even though it is obvious that he isn't head and shoulders above the other top QBs in this league. Ravens fans might be even worse. I mean, wins never have been and never will be a QB stat. Until QBs start playing defense as well, wins will always be a team stat, not a QB stat. I mean, even if you ignore this fact, the only fan base that can say anything is the Chiefs. But these Ravens idiots are getting out of control thinking they are just at a level they haven't even sniffed yet. They think Jackson should win every MVP ever no matter what else is happening in the league. I would argue that Allen has been better than Jackson every year in the league to this point, and the stats really do back it up, but no.....Allen will never be on Jackson's level no matter what. Last year Allen had 15 more TDs and almost 500 more yards of offense and they say stats don't matter and that Jackson clearly deserved it because the team won a couple more games. This year, the stats are almost identical, the Bills have won more games, and are doing it primarily with Allen having no stars or household names and like 10 staples of this team walking out the door in the off season. It was being called a transition year and Allen is putting up video game numbers and willing this team to wins. But no, all of a sudden stats matter and since the stats are close, they think Jackson should win this year too. Look, I have nothing against Jackson. He's a great player. But their fan base is just full of nutjobs which in turn makes me hate the Ravens even though I wish I didn't have to. And finally you have Dolphins fans. Enough said........ So yeah, the fan bases cause me to hate team more than I normally would.
  7. Solomon has been pretty solid considering where he was drafted and where he was drafted from. Slightly undersized, but has all the pass rush tools you look for. I have watched some of his tape specifically this season, and from the limited reps he gets, there is a lot to like, especially heading into the future. The most encouraging thing he shows is that he doesn't just rely on one pass rush move to get home. Sure, he is a speed guy and that is where he will hang his hat most of the time, but he has flashed other moves to win which is usually the knock on a lot of speed rushers. Many times guys come into the league because they can win with speed, but as soon as the tackles figure out you don't have a counter, guys get in trouble. I definitely think having Von on this team has been great for him. You can see when he plays that he has adopted some of Von's teachings. He has shown Von's famous "ghost" move, a nice swim move, and a spin move. His bull rush isn't too bad either. That said, he isn't a perfect player. He has lost contain in the run game at times and he has missed some tackles. There have been multiple times this season he has beaten his man badly, but hasn't finished the play. There have been at least 2 or 3 instances I can think of where he has had the QB dead to rights but hasn't gotten him on the ground. So, his tackling/finishing needs work, but he definitely has flashed some potential this season. Not that I don't think he won't have an impact the rest of this season, because I definitely believe he will, but this will be an important off season for him. He will have had a great taste of what the NFL is about and what he needs to work on. Like I said, he has shown the tools, but this off season will be a great opportunity for him to work on the little things to help him finish those plays next season. But yeah.....overall, there are reasons to be excited that this guy can turn into a player for us for years to come if he continues to work on his craft. The talent is there. May depend on how much of a worker he is.
  8. For future reference, I think that the Ravens should just assume that if they think Jackson has set some kind of QB record, that Allen has already done it first. Allen holds so many of these types of records that you lose count.
  9. This is an interesting conversation that can go in many different directions. Right now, at this moment, the answer is Bruce. He, for my money, is the best to ever do it at his position. I know some would argue this for sure, but for my money, I'd take Bruce. Bruce, at his best, was an unstoppable force. You could argue something similar when it comes to OJ. His 2000+ yards in 14 games will never be broken. He may not be the best RB overall in history, but you could argue that he was the best ever for a period of time. As for Allen, his story isn't written yet. He's the most talented QB in Bills history. In my opinion, he's the most physically gifted QB I have ever seen play this game. I am as big a Kelly fan is there is, but even Kelly would tell you that Allen is a better player overall. Now, Kelly is in the HOF because of what he did in his career and he is an all time great for this franchise, but Bruce was a better DE than Kelly was a QB. It's a different era, and the game has changed dramatically from what it was in the 80s and 90s and it is hard to compare QBs sometimes because of this. But, as someone who watched every Kelly game at some point or another, Allen reminds me so much of him. Not so much in playing style, obviously, but the mentality, heart, desire, and toughness that Allen shows makes me think he could play in any era and be great. And, when it's all said and done, I truly believe Allen will go down in history as maybe the best to ever do it. He may never get to 7 Super Bowl wins or have the accolades that some others do, but he will set passing and scoring records that haven't been seen in the history of the league, providing he stays healthy and plays for a long time. So, what's the answer? Bruce for now.....until 1 of 2 things happen. 1. Allen leads this team to a Super Bowl win - The second this happens, he takes the number 1 spot no matter what he does the rest of his career. 2. Allen finishes his career as a Bill, MANY years from now, and continues to play at this dominant level. In the end, I have have no doubt that the answer to this question will be Allen one way or another. It's just a matter of how fast it happens. For me, I hope he lays claim to that title this upcoming February.
  10. This is yet another game we will win but it should have never been this close. The coaching staff, specifically on defense and with time management, made this game 2-3 scores closer than it should have been. If we don't have the best player on the planet playing QB for us, we would be lucky to win 5 games. The stupid things they do with play calls and time management are holding this team back from reaching their full potential. So frustrating. Good win, though. Much needed.
  11. D Williams back out there. Good news.
  12. Man.....It really pisses me off that Allen doesn't get that TD there. Terrible phantom holding call. Even if we hold on here, that is a play that would be shown forever and now nobody will remember it. I know Josh won't necessarily care that much, but football fans should.
  13. Ugh.....I hate the way that ended. Instead of ending the game, the Lions still win the game with 2 TDs. This game should be over and it isn't yet, especially with the way the defense is playing. And, of course the coaching staff is making it harder than it needs to be with more terrible clock management.
  14. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME???? Stupid refs take away an all time play.
  15. Brown out in front there. Never a doubt that Allen was getting that. Just hope he's OK. He's been a beast all day. Hopefully just a stinger and he's back out there quick.
  16. Allen maybe could have gotten more there, but it was smart to go down and just burn more clock.
  17. What a call.... What a catch. Man, he drops the easy ones sometimes, but he comes through with the tough ones once in a while.
  18. I know our defense is missing a lot of guys right now, but man......they are just really bad. Allen has to score again.
  19. Spector on St Brown..... Not an ideal matchup.
  20. I mean, you see how bad our defense is and how easy the Lions are moving the ball. Just makes it even more strange for them to try that onside kick there. This game changed with Williams went out earlier. We obviously had a plan with him on defense and the defense was playing well with him on the field. Now we lose Milano and Bishop on top of all the other injuries and our whole scheme and plan has seemed to have gone out the window.
  21. Wow.....what a strange call to do that at this point of the game. Obviously Campbell knows how bad our special teams are and figured it was worth the risk. But hey, I do appreciate Hollins for not scoring there so Allen can add a TD to his MVP case.
  22. Allen may have to score 2 more TDs to win this game....
  23. Whelp, so much for keeping everything underneath. Swiss cheese defense is back.
  24. Everything underneath. They are going to get yards. Just make them burn the clock while they do it.
