Yeah.....Samuel and Hamlin aren't playing for sure. But I wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like with Rapp and Bishop starting if there is a chance of it.

12/22/24 GAMEDAY Week 15 Bills vs Patriots* Post GameThread
sven233 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hard to take away anything positive from this one. Just a "blah" type of game. I mean, the most redeeming quality of it was the win and, obviously, that is what ultimately matters. But there were some concerning injuries for sure. I mean, Allen said he's OK, but he always says that. Hopefully that's true. I did find one comment Allen made about the game interesting. I will have to go back and listen to the interview for the exact wording, but he almost made it sound like they went into this game with a somewhat limited playbook. He made some comment like there were some things to fix, but it was a fine line about doing things better and showing the complete playbook heading into the Playoffs. I mean, he obviously knows what they are and aren't doing more than we do, but the gameplan did look a little watered down today compared to what we have been seeing the last few weeks. There was some motion, but not a ton. You didn't see the WR screens and there were no designed Allen runs (good)! So, as "blah" as today was, perhaps some of that was by design. They figured they had enough in to win the game, which they did, and didn't have to get to creative to achieve that goal. So maybe, just maybe, there was somewhat of a reason for the outing we just saw. Hopefully, that was indeed part of the reason we weren't as sharp as we usually are. -

Allen's hand might be hurt. Banged it on the run he had a couple plays prior and obviously couldn't grip it right for that throw. Not good. -

Not sure how to describe that half. I think uninspired might be the best way to put it. The defense still can't stop a nosebleed. The special teams still can't get through a game without doing something wrong. And, as it pertains to the offense? Well, I don't want to say it was awful because I have seen worse. There were some plays made, but there were several that were not. Just not executing. Allen hasn't be good, but his team isn't helping him much at all. I mean, Shakir has been great all season, but short armed that one at the end. He makes that play more times than not. And Allen has had a few opportunities to take off, but hasn't. He's got to make the Pats* pay for the coverage they are playing. I still think we will win this game, but man, the guys need to just stop going through the motions. Just no sense of urgency. That is on the players, but it is also on the coaches. -

How does this special teams coach still have a job. He fails at something EVERY SINGLE WEEK. -

Absolutely fine with that. You won't see as better punt than that. -
Name a player who is comparable to Josh Allen.....
sven233 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
The correct answer is nobody. There has never been anything like him to play the QB position in history. Best arm the league has ever seen, just as big and strong as most LBs in the league, can jump over the freaking moon, great vision while on the run so he can make you miss, run through you, or jump over you, can make throws that nobody has ever seen before, and has been clocked running at like 21 MPH at times. And that's the just physical stuff. The fact that this year he is proving to take another couple steps in terms on the mental game is only adding to the rest of it. Throw on top of it all that he is as tough a QB as we have ever seen playing through countless injuries and there just hasn't been anyone else to ever play that can do the things he can do on a football field. A lot of people say Elway. I get it. There are some similarities, but Allen is on a whole different level physically and athletically. That's not a shot at Elway at all. Different era and he was great. But if you were to design a QB in a lab, Josh Allen is what comes out as the finished product. Never take watching him for granted because I am not sure we will ever see anything like him again. If he stays healthy and continues on the trajectory he is on, he's going to hold so many NFL records by the time he's done (some that will probably never be broken), it will be unbelievable. He's Jordan. We can only hope that at some point during his career that the team can put enough talent around him, stay healthy in the Playoffs, and that his coaches can make enough of the correct decisions at the right times, to win a Super Bowl (or a few). -

There's really only two things we need out of today...... A Win Everyone comes out of the game healthy Honorable mention: Allen putting up 4+ TDs and 350+ to shut the Ravens fans up, but as long as we get the other 2, that is what really matters. -

I watch these games the Ravens play and I am not sure Jackson is the MVP on his own team. Henry, when he is running well, is absolutely just as, if not more important than Jackson to that team's success. If you pulled Henry off that team right now, their chances of winning anything of significance drop dramatically. Can you say the same thing if Cook went down for us? I mean, I think we'd just throw Davis and Johnson out there and be fine. But Henry means a ton to that offense and if he's not there, they would not be nearly as dangerous in my opinion. I am not saying Jackson isn't great or isn't having a great season. He is. But it is so much different. With us, Allen accounts for like 90% of our production on offense. If you look at Jackson and Henry being on the same team, their production level and importance to that team are a lot closer than these Ravens fans want you to believe. Even the TDs and yards Jackson got today were to guys that were WIDE open. I mean, that one to Andrews I think anyone in the stadium could have thrown. THey have a great scheme because of the pressure Henry puts on you and it just makes teams so concerned with him that they leave other skill players uncovered. -

Not having a guy within 10 yards of Andrews standing in the middle of the end zone is certainly a choice...... But hey, what another MVP level unbelievable throw to another wide open WR by Jackson. -

Yup.....a Steelers win today would be good in the long run providing we take care of our business. That said, I don't expect it to happen. Don't trust the Steelers to be able to score enough points. -

I don't fear the Bengals defense at all, but their offense is a different story. They have so much fire power on offense that they can win in a shootout if need be. These other teams like the Broncos, Chargers, Texans, etc, I don't feel like they can just score at will. -

As long as the Bengals don't find a way to sneak in, I'm good. -

I mean, we have no idea how the seeds will work out yet, but obviously, with the Chiefs winning today and only needing one of the last 2, the one seed is gone most likely. Hopefully we'll know for sure heading into week 18. That said, I truly hope the consolation prize for us having to win an extra Playoff game will be for us to be able to rest our guys week 18, and for us to be able to avoid the Ravens and the Steelers in the Playoffs. Let KC have to deal with one of them before we play them in the AFC Championship game. Those teams are just so physical and in January, they will be tough to beat, especially for a team like ours that really isn't built that way on defense. So yeah.....hopefully it works out where we can rest guys in week 18 and then have to deal with teams like the Texans, Broncos, and Chargers to get to the title game. It's not that I don't think we can beat those other teams because I do, but the physicality of those games would be on a different level. -
