  1. Not that he has been great while getting a chance to start, but he's gotten a pretty raw deal if you ask me. Two terrible organizations with absolutely no chance of winning with a young QB. I'm not sure what will end up happening to him, but I do hope that he ends up in a good situation on a good team where he can backup for a couple years while working on his craft. All that said, while it is still way too early to tell, there is a good chance we're the ones that ended up with the "right Josh", but we'll have to see how it plays out.
  2. What an awful call.... That's a TD all day.
  3. HA HA HA HA!!!!
  4. HOLY CRAP!!!!
  5. Again..... How in the blue hell did we lose to this team? So awful.
  6. They're kicking it???? How in the blue hell did we lose to this team?
  7. Stunning.... And this is just raising my blood pressure even more having to watch this. We're better than Houston and nobody can convince me otherwise. Just maddening.
  8. Problem is we can't score. A good day against the Chiefs would have been to hold them to 24 or so. We don't score that much. If nothing else, these games have all proven that you need WRs that make plays for your QB. We just don't have those guys right now. We have the complimentary pieces, just not THE piece.
  9. I know we would have been heavy underdogs, but man.....we should be playing for a chance to host the AFC Championship game tomorrow. I don't think we would have beaten the Chiefs, but I would have liked to have had the opportunity to do so. So frustrating.
  10. Man.... It's only the first game of the Divisional Round, the NFC at that, and I am just so frustrated we aren't playing tomorrow. Just when I think I can let last week go, things just keep coming back. We are a better team than Houston and that game was ours. So frustrating. Just hoping to be able to enjoy these games this weekend.
  11. Jets QB Sam Darnold had surgery on his left (non-throwing) thumb to repair a ligament, a source confirmed. It's a minor procedure and won't cause him to miss any time in the offseason. It happened in the Week 8 loss to the Jaguars and it affected his ballhandling at times. At the end of the season, Darnold said he didn't think surgery was necessary, pending further tests. The NY Post first reported the surgery. Rich Cimini, ESPN Staff Writer7m ago So, was this on the Jets' injury report? Will they be investigated? Just curious.
  12. Yeah....I'm sure the Bills are the only team that didn't report an injury on the report this year. This is so stupid. Next year, the Bills should just list everyone as questionable every week with bumps and bruises and state that every player on the team was limited in practice and see how that goes over. That should cover everything.
  13. A pipe dream probably, but exactly what the defense needs. Defense needs a DE, LB, and a legit 2nd CB in the worst way. Offense needs 2 OL, 2 WRs better than what we have now, and a backup RB that can still make plays when Motor is not in the game.
  14. Look, I am not the biggest Allen supporter by any means, but man.....I think he's kind of getting some unfair criticism. He was nearly as good as it gets in the first half yesterday. Did he come unraveveled in the 2nd half a bit? Yes he did. He made some poor decisions and had some brutal plays that no NFL QB should ever make. But you know what else he did? He made a couple of absolutely WOW plays that maybe no other NFL QB could make. He has a LONG way to go to establish himself as a franchise QB, but what he did yesterday in his first career playoff start, in his 2nd year in the NFL was ok. Lots of highs and lows. He's 23 years old. A kid with the weight of his team and a city that cares like no other on his shoulders and he laid it all on the line yesterday, and all season for that matter. He took a great step forward this year and, if he works hard this offeseason, and makes the same size step forward that he did this year, we might be looking at a top 10 QB in the league next year. He needs to manage his emotions better. He needs to make better decisions. He needs to make better throws at times. He has to be better on the deep balls. And he needs more talent around him to help him do those things. Don't kid yourself.....this was not a complete team yet. The offense still needs a lot more high end talent on it. The offense does not have 1 legitimate star on it as of right now. So yeah....he had terrible moments yesterday, but he also put the team in a position to have a chance to win, and probably should have. But if you can't see the steps he has taken this year, I don't know what to tell you. But let's wait 1 more year to see if he makes that leap forward before running him out of here. He has his moments where he may look like it, but he's not the same QB that he was at Wyoming. He's come a long way from where he was a couple years ago and hopefully, for all of our sakes, he takes that next big step next season.
  15. Still pretty frustrated about yesterday. Maybe even more so today watching some of it back and seeing just how many chances we had. And, on top of it all, I have to get even angrier about the TD that the refs took away from us at the start of the 3rd Quarter. Common sense means nothing in this game. You play by the letter of the rule book, and BY RULE, that was a TD. It was a TD yesterday and it's a TD today no matter how stupid it would have been. The head ref got it right originally and, for whatever reason, was convinced to making the WRONG call. Game would have been over right there. All this on top of a phantom "blindside block" and a blatant missed helmet to helmet that would have set the Bills up to win. Yeah, we had our chances to win the game ourselves, but this is so frustrating not getting ready to play the Chiefs right now.
  16. Maybe...... But, BY RULE, that is not giving yourself up.
  17. The "fake spike" comparison was spot on. Also, who knows if it would have been a trick play? Give the safe signal, walk it slowly out of the endzone, and take off and run it back for a TD. Fact is, the "safe" signal is NOT a legal NFL signal and the Bills were ROBBED of that TD and probably the game. Common sense should play no part in what happened on that play.
  18. Allen seriously made some great strides this year. Does he have a long way to go? Of course. But nobody can doubt his passion or will to win. He wants to be great and it shows. That's an important trait to have and I am not sure every player in this league cares like he does. He was not great this year. Ball security, lack of touch on the long ball, and still forcing plays he shouldn't were all big time issues for him this year. But, despite all that, if you can't see the improvement from year 1 to year 2, you're not looking hard enough. If he can make the same jump he made this year from year 2 to year 3 next year, he's got a chance to be one of the top 10 QBs in this league next year. It's on him and the coaches to get him there, but I have no doubt he'll put the effort in to get there. Whether he is capable of doing it, who knows, but he will do what he can to get there.
  19. It's real simple...... By NFL rules the way they are written, this was a TD/Safety depending on if it was considered a fumble of illegal forward pass. By any measure of common sense, this was a touchback. I know, and most everyone knows, what the guy was doing, but, BY RULE, that should have been a TD or Safety. Regardless of how stupid it would have been, the Bills were robbed of points.
  20. Look.....I'm not going to speak for anyone else, but this just isn't "a game" for some of us. It means more. But hey, I'm glad you can look at it that way. Probably a lot easier to deal with losses feeling like that. Me, and others like me, will be feeling this until opening day or at least the start of the new league year.
  21. Still hurting pretty bad, but man, watching the Patriots* lose at home to the Titans lifts the spirits a bit! Bills consecutive Super Bowl appearance record still in tact!

  23. It was a long time ago but, as mentioned, this feeling is the same one I had 30 years ago after watching Ronnie Harmon drop that TD pass in the playoffs. Hopefully the sustained success that followed that season will follow this one. That 89 team was young and talented and you could see good things coming. This team has a lot of young talent as well. Still need a lot more play makers on the offensive side of the ball, though. Just so frustrating.
  24. Not blaming the refs by any means as we had every chance to win that game, but that phantom blindside block call may have cost us that win and that hurts. Just a brutal call. Throw that on top of an obvious missed delay of game call on Houston in a key moment and it's just rubbing salt in the wound. But man, it's extremely frustrating to waste so many opportunities. Should have never come down to that. Tons of money/cap space and draft picks to get some more talent on offense and to fill a couple holes on defense, but next year just seems so far away. Reload and come back stronger
