  1. What a lame excuse for getting your butt kicked. Why can't he just admit the Bills cleaned his clock. The Bills turned him inside out , upside down, side ways, and then spit him out. No other explanation makes sense. It's just that simple. What a big cry baby
  2. Give me Clowney and Mack and tell me this couldn't be the best "D" in the NFL. I know we can't get both but I'm just saying, "IF" If your gonna dream might as well dream big, both Clowney and Mack. I don't worry that Clowney is not having the kind of year he had last year. I bet his agent told him to play cautious and stay healthy at all costs. He knows if he gets hurt it could cost him millions of dollars. I wouldn't doubt his agent told him to dog it and save his body. Even if he isn't drafted 1st or 2nd he will still get a ton of dough. If he gets a major injury before the draft he would lose a lot of bargaining power. For all he people that are negative on Clowney give him to me I'll take him. He is an athletic freak like Bruce Smith was.
  3. I have to agree it would be nice sign Carrington, he has good potential. But you have to hope he wants a fair deal and doesn't over price himself. I would like to have him back but I wouldn't break the bank for him. We'll see what kind of contract he wants and then we'll know what the chances are they resign him. .
  4. Good move on the Bills part. The kid is good player and you would pay a lot more to resign him in the off season if he hit free agency. They should have done the same thing with Byrd when they had the chance. A player will usually sign for less if you don't insult his intelligence by trying to low ball him below his market value.
  5. Can someone please help out a completely confused poster. I don't know who "smoke" is ? I never heard of him. By any chance is that Tom Brady's nick name?
  6. Gregg Rosenthal's assessment of NFL quarterbacks is spot on and the most accurate I have ever seen. I agree with him 100% You have to remember he is not a "homer" drinking the Kool aid. He is not biased and tells it like it is. He has no loyalty to any team so he can report honestly and accurately. That's why he gets paid the big bucks, he understands the game and can accurately report what he sees on the field. An outsider like him will give you and honest and true assessment because they are not attached to any team.
  7. Yep, JR in Pittsburgh, you bring up a very valid point. I have to agree with you the teams they played in the 2nd half were bottom dwellers that a high school team could beat. That does put a damper on their perceived improvement.
  8. Yes I realize trade talk is dead now, I meant get him in the off season right before the draft. The Bills don't need Josh Gordon this year because threir season is over. Their playoffs hopes were crushed a few weeks ago. The Bills need to fill holes for next year. A big wide out would be one of their needs.
  9. NoJustice - Are you serious when you say Ryan Fitztrajic can be a decent starter in the NFL? All I can say about that is WOW! WOW! I can't believe it. Thad Lewis is even better than PicksPatrick who I crown the interception King of the NFL.
  10. I guess the Browns have changed their minds about trying to trade Josh Gordon. He has become the best player on their team. I was hoping the Bills could have got him for a second round pick but it seems unlikely now. Gordon has over 1,400 yards receiving on over 74 receptions and 9 TDs. He is the big physical receiver the Bills need. I don't think you could get him for a 2nd round pick any more. With those stats they would probably demand a 1st rounder. They stole him in the supplemental draft for a second rounder.
  11. NoJustice. I agree you will always have some subpar starters on every team, but if you have MORE teams you will have even MORE subpar starters on every team. You will have even less talent to go around. That's only logical.
  12. The "D" is really coming along and playing well. What a difference a defensive co ordinator can make. Petine is the difference and anyone who understands football can see that. He is reponsable for the improvement. He brought Rex Ryan's scheme with him. Rex isn't a great head coach but he is a great defensive mind. Chan made a huge mistake by hiring the "Stache".. Wannstedt was 20 years behind the times. If Chan had Petine he would still have a job as Bills head coach.
  13. Both of these guys are so far down the list does it even matter? When I look at the stats it looks like they both stink out loud. Pretty sad isn't it when they are ranked down past 30th. WOW! That is really low. It doesn't give you much hope for the future.
  14. Why would you characterize this as blowing smoke? He speaks the truth. Kyle Williams is having a great year.
  15. I would vote for any alignment as long as the Bills don't have to face Belichick and Brady twice a year.
  16. NEBillsFan - If you totally dominated another team for 15 years wouldn't you be confident and arrogant? To dominate a team for 15 years is unheard of. That's so rare it's hard to even imagine. Just look at the win/loss record of New England over Buffalo the past decade and a half. I would chalk up any game against the Bills as an automatic win if I were them. Like they say any team can win on any given Sunday but it's hard to ignore past history. It's rare that a team can DOMINATE another for that many years Look at it this way,.the last time the Bills could compete with the Pats, todays high school seniors were still in diapers and weren't even in pre-school.
  17. I would agree it would be nice to end the Toronto games but it had nothing to do with the Bills missing the playoffs. You're just fishing for excuses. The Bills missed the playoffs because they are not a very good team yet.
  18. I would re sign Carrington if he would take a reasonable contract. He is a good back up. But if he wants starter money I would let him walk. He's a back up and has to realize it for me to want him back. Bottom line I wouldn't over pay him especially since the Bills have locked up Allen Branch.
  19. The last thing I would want is expansion. The talent is already too watered down. If you have expansion the amount of talent to go around would be hurt even more.
  20. In my opinion you have to get another good quarterback, either a high draft choice (1st or 2nd round) or free agency if one is available. EJ has shown he is injury prone so you have to make sure you have another good QB in case he goes down. You saw what happened this year. Buffalo went into the season with one quarterback and it hurt them badly.
  21. With the exception of Gilmore the defense played their best game of the year. The pressure on Tannehill was relentless. They held the Dolphins to 103 yards total offense. And if it wasn't for Gilmore getting smoked by Hartline the Dolphins would have only had 50 yards total offense. That's incredible. It's hard to hold any NFL offense down that low. Petine has turned this defense around they're a lot better than last year. McLovin is having a great year and Roby seems to make a lot of plays.

  23. Webster guy - Ralph wears the helmet with matching depends.
  24. I think they should win next week and then get ready for the playoffs. Hopefully the Bills will get home field through out the playoffs. I hope they win the super bowl this year and don't look like chumps like they did in the 90s.
  25. I have to agree with you IslandBillsFan. At least Thad has the balls to throw the ball down field. I know EJ needs more time before we can say he is a bust, but so far he hasn't shown me that he won't be. I see EJ as a bust at this point but I hope he proves me wrong and improves next year. Right now EJ isn't even an average quarterback, he stinks up the joint. Thad may not be an elite quarterback but at least he can move the team. EJ is three and out the majority of his drives.
