Marrone did the same thing with Marcel Darius and Marcel is way better than Spikes. If Marrone wouldn't take any krap from a player you didn't really think Belichick would . Belichick is a lot tougher than Marrone. Belichick rules with an iron fist. He'll put you on waivers just for making a mistake or getting a dumb penalty. That's why you hardly ever see New England get penalties.

You like Seattle too. Yeah they look tough all around, no weaknesses. I don't think there has been a more powerful back than Lynch since Earl Campbell and Jim Brown. You just can't tackle the dude he's darn strong and won't go down. Yeah Denver has a very good chance. I see Denver and New England in the AFC championship game. Both teams have GREAT quarterbacks so it's hard to call but I'm going with New England because of Belichick. I would never bet against Belichick. If I was Ralph at his age he doesn't need money anymore, I would give Belichick 90% ownership of the Bills to come coach them for ten years. I don't think Belichick would turn down 700 million dollars. The value of 90% of the team. Heck with that kind of money Billy could buy a Carribean island when he retires.

Well you know that means Belichick has no intentions of resigning Spikes this off season. He's a free agent and Billy will probably give him a low ball offer because I don't think he wants to keep him. Spikes is good against the run but he couldn't cover anyone even if they let him use a blanket. He's a HUGE liability against the pass and Belichick will want to upgrade that position. Spikes is as good as gone. Belichick doesn't keep one dimensional players. If you can't do it all he will replace you.

I think New England will represent the AFC. Denver has a good team and Peyton Manning. but Bill Belichck is a mastermind. I would never bet against New England even without Gronkowski and Wilfork. Besides Brady, Gronk is their best offensive player and WIlfork is their best defensive player, but old master Billy will find a way. The NFC is a lot harder to call. Seattle looks awesome with the BEAST (Marshawn Lynch), but you never can tell about the two YOUNG teams. Carolina and San Fran are young and energetic They are capable of pulling off an upset. It was nice to see DaRick out muscle the defender and haul in a nice 46 yard bomb in the playoff game against the Chiefs. That was a big play that set up a touchdown and helped the Colts win a great comeback game. The kid has to be happier than a pig in doo doo that the Bills let him go. He got a chance to hook on with a playoff team and now he gets the opportunity to play in the postseason That's something he would never get the opportunity to do with Buffalo. We all know about 14 years and still counting. If you watched this kid in training camp you could see he had the talent and it would only be a matter of time before he excelled. To think the Bills kept Hogan instead is enough to make you puke.

I think you've got it Mr. WEO. You hit the nail on the head. I have to agree Marrone and the current O-line coach can't reproduce them. It really showed in the their play all season. The Offensive line really stunk it up this year. I don't see any hope for this line either.

Bring back PicksPatrick, he can teach EJ how to throw interceptions. No one is as good at throwing picks as PicksPatrick.

It's hard to comprehend how the Bills offensive line went from one of the better lines in the NFL to one of the worst in just one year. Bring back Levitre and Joe D even if you have to pay them DOUBLE! The offensive line is really offensive. Pun intended Yeah big cat, what else can it be?

Bortles stinks. I would draft him if he is still there in the 7th round but not before then. He might be worth giving up a last round pick to see if he could become a decent back up QB

Everyone who thinks Kiko got snubbed by not getting picked for the pro bowl should read your post. Kiko may become a good linebacker some day but at this point he can be fooled pretty easily and over runs a lot of plays leaving a gaping holes. Mosely gets pan caked quite often He doesn't have enough lead in his butt.

Lovie was the guy the Bills should have hired. Someone with NFL experience, not Marrone who was only a .500 coach in college. He didn't even have a winning record and that's only college ball.

The last time the Bills were in the playoffs was the same year I got sent up to Attica to serve a second degree murder charge. I got in a fight with a guy and he ended up passing away from his injuries. It was mutual combat so I only got 15 years. I got out early on parole this past March. It's hard to believe you can serve a term for murder and your team not make the post season the whole time. When you think about it, it sounds almost impossible. I'll tell you what. It's hard to imagine how long 14 years is unless you've been locked up all that time. Go Bills!

Drdareustein - I have to disagree. I DO NOT think the Bills hold the cards here, I think Byrd does. If the Bills tag him he will get 8 million dollars and he could dog it again next year. He can get a hang nail and ride the bench. You can't make a player play if he has an injury no matter how small it may be. Would you waste 8 million dollars for a guy who may choose to sit for half the season? The moral of the story is, "You can force a horse to go to the water but you can't make him drink." Or my buddy's version of this saying, you can take an elephant to the water but you can't make him put on bathing suit."

Worst thing that could happen this off season is if I get run over by a truck. I can't think of anything worse than that.
