Well said, man. Schwartz deserves a lot of credit for making those adjustments. We need an OC who can do those same things on offense on a week-to-week, or even quarter-to-quarter basis. The best minds in the game know how to adjust on the fly.

Freddy and Kyle are two of the most hard-working, unselfish and underrated players in this league. The two of them deserve to have some success -

Updated: The AFC Playoff Picture
Wesdawg replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I ran different scenarios and found that the Bills would still have a shot to make the playoffs if they were to finish 9-7 (assuming they only dropped one of their two big games left against GB & NE). Obviously the Bills would have much better odds if they were to win out, but reallistically they can still afford to lose one more game if each of the other AFC playoff contenders follow these scenarios: Bengals (8-4-1)- Would have to lose all three remaining games against CLE, DEN and BAL to finish 8-7-1. This seems entirely possible with two of those games on the road, and assuming the Manziel-led Browns win at home this week. Chargers (8-5)- Would also have to lose all three remaining games to finish 8-8. They host DEN this week which will be a big game, then they travel to SF and KC. I believe they're too good to not win at least one more game. But, you never know. Chiefs (7-6)- Would have to lose to both OAK and PIT the next two weeks and then beat SD at home in Week 17 to finish 8-8. The Raiders winning on the road this week would be huge. Dolphins (7-6)- Would have to lose at NE this week and then split their final two games against MIN and NYJ to finish 8-8. They do own the tie-breaker against us. Texans (7-6)- Would have to lose next two games against IND and BAL to finish 8-8 at best. As I'm sure it's been mentioned before, both the Steelers and Ravens winning out would give the Bills their best shot. Both of these teams currently have the edge on the rest of the AFC North. I know, it's a major stretch to hope that all of these teams finish .500 and see the Bills sneak in at 9-7. But our chances would go up significantly this week if... We beat the Packers at home + a KC loss + a CIN loss + a SD loss = Suddenly we're right back in the hunt -

Wesdawg replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering that the Bills hung around almost the entire game in NE last year (until poor special teams coverage did them in) with a backup QB and missing some key defensive players, I'd say it's possible they could pull off a win in such a scenario. Fingers crossed -

I think you're overlooking the Browns and the fact that their defense is capable of doing to us what both Kansas City and Miami did. Granted, they did lose at home this week, but we're not exactly unbeatable at home this year either. Realistically, I see us at 6-6 heading into December. -

Byrd taking entire secondary and Coach Henderson to Hawaii

I live in Hawaii and and if I get a chance to go to the Pro Bowl, I'm going to try and get some autographs. Byrd seems like a class act. -
Woods & Goodwin Top 2 Bills Wr's next year?
Wesdawg replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jones would be a nice signing. A duo of Woods and Jones next season at wideout would actually be pretty exciting. But of course this is all hypothetical, assuming the team releases or trades Stevie. -
I agree with this. To go into further detail, my idea would be: - Each team plays all seven of their divisional opponents once, with an eighth game determined by the previous season's standings in that division. For example, the 1st and 2nd place teams of a division would face each other twice, as would the 3rd and 4th place, 5th and 6th and so on. The home and away schedule would rotate each season between all teams. - Each team would play four opponents from the other division in their conference based on the previous season's standings. For example, if a team finishes in the bottom-four of it's division, that team would play the bottom-four teams in the other conference division the following year. - Each team would play four interconference games according to a pre-determined rotation. For example, the Bills would play half of the NFC East one year, half of the NFC West the next, the other half of the NFC East the following year and so on. It would be pretty simple. We would no longer have to deal with teams winning a division and hosting a playoff game against an opponent with a better record. We would finally get to see two wild cards teams hosting a playoff game every year. And finally, it would be the best way to ensure that we see the best teams with the best records get in regardless of strength of division. Arizona would more than likely be headed to the playoffs if we had this format currently. I'm in favor of whatever gets the best teams in the playoffs every season, even if that means eliminating divisions. There's no perfect way to do this, but I see a potential improvement if we went to four divisions of eight teams. There's no reason why teams like San Francisco and Kansas City have to play on the road in the playoffs as a 5th seed, despite each being tied for the second best record in their own conferences.

Not many people remember that he actually won a Super Bowl with the Rams way back in the Greatest Show On Turf era. He's been on some bad teams in the last 12 years or so and the fact that he's started about every single game consecutively is beyond impressive. -

Woods was impressive. But my gameball is a tie between Williams and Robey. They both made big plays when we needed them. -
Agreed.

Anybody surprised at Kansas City's high-scoring offense as of late? Granted, they've gone up against up against some pretty weak defenses the past few weeks, but they are definitely rolling right now. They could be dangerous if they wind up going playing Indianapolis in the playoffs.

For the record -- Manuel's rating today was 105.0
Wesdawg replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A win like this on the road after a horrible performance a week ago is a nice boost for his confidence. Now we'll see if he can put together another solid game next week against a tough Miami D-line that was all over Brady today.
