  1. Canadian TV showed the entire first year of The Sopranos (unedited) during the run of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. I just couldn't really get into it. It wasn't as good as NYPD Blue, Hill Street, St. Elsewhere to me........And, I didn't have HBO until a few years ago, so I never picked up after year one. And, I do plan on watching the whole Breaking Bad series, but didn't even know anything about it until it was probably year 3 or so, so I don't know that one either. This would then be my first series that I can think of with an anti-hero. (Unless you want to count Ed Flanders in real life from St. Elsewhere)...............It is strange to have that. I don't know if there is one person on the whole show that I really like. I guess Peggy and it seems like Ted is a good guy. (The actor who plays him was on Carolla's podcast and was great - funny, caught onto all the humor, has a great story to himself - born in Louisiana as a Mormon)
  2. They found it, but then burned it immediately.
  3. The day he moved his arms and legs for the first time was awesome:
  4. I think he was the most talented WR we ever had. Really the only guy who was "open even when they're not open" as Buddy would say.
  5. Kemp OJ Kelly Bruce Young has got to be on there. He's one of the greatest QBs of all time, which trumps even the best safety of all time.
  6. Her friend might be ugly, but she's got potential.
  7. Miss Utah - you are no MIss South Carolina.
  8. I never knew Teri Garr was that hot in the 70s. I just remember her from being on Letterman all the time in the 80s.
  9. I'm thinking you're both right - first he was wood chipped and then cremated!
  10. I've watched a lot of hurling at the Ralph!
  11. Flutie definitely had "it" and I don't think that can be taught.
  12. Uh, we're talking about the US. It's perfect for the kids who can't play baseball. The spotlight is never on you so you can suck under the radar. They've been saying this since I was a kid in the 70s. Soccer is America's "fastest growing sport" for 40 years now. Just wait till all these kids playing become adults! - Those kids are middle age now!
  13. This is NOT the NHL's choice. They would rather be on over the air free TV. They aren't popular enough for the networks to decide to do that.
  14. This may have been said, but I just listened to one of Tony Kornheiser's podcasts fromt his week and he (and I) thought it was funny that Rex Ryan said - "They're going to replace Brady with Tebow. That's OK with me!"
  15. If soccer becomes our national obsession, I'm going to start drinking again!
  16. The ratings for EPL will be not even close to the ratings for the World Cup. Americans at least recognize that that is the biggest thing on Earth, other than the Olympics. Or maybe even bigger.
  17. I don't think most of the country thinks it's a minor league. They, including me, figured it's the major league of a minor sport.
  18. I think the NHL has often not had Finals games on free TV. I was surprised that last night was not on. It was Saturday night, which I believe is the lowest rated day of the week, anyway.
  19. Is that what he got arrested for?
  20. Yeah, right. And, Reggie McKenzie retired 30 years ago, so that shouldn't be on the board either. I've actually never really looked into it, but it's a good subject - Brady's college career and what he was thought of in 2000. All I ever really knew was that Drew Henson started a lot of those MIchigan games.
  21. Those four guys have been the "leaders" of Farm Aid for a long time. Granted, the other three since the beginning.
  22. I think you bring up a good point. As long as the football hotbeds keep up with the youth football, and it's going to take a long time for that to change in Texas, Florida, etc. - then there should be a talent pool. I guess it doesn't matter if NYS' parents don't let their kids play football so much.
  23. I read Autobiography of a Yogi. I'm spiritual and into yoga, but all of those things that broke the laws of physics, etc. - is that supposed to be taken literally? What's your take on it?
