  1. It's more than what they mean to me (and I'm sure you). It's what they mean to this area............I keep saying this is the most important thing in Buffalo history. Not sure if I'm right on that. Beth Steel closing was huge, but inevitable.
  2. That's true. I forget that Graham is pretty good in the paper, because of his online snark.
  3. Our long national nightmare is over!
  4. It was driving Alan Pergament nuts on twitter (the News TV critic)
  5. EJ did look calm and in control. The problem is Sammy - he's a bust!
  6. No, I think it's one of these preseason experiments. If it works out well, they're going to do it all season. Should be good!
  7. My friends and I used to joke that Eddie Fuller must hold the league's all time preseason career rushing record. It seemed like he was here for 5 preseasons, and I don't remember him ever playing in the regular season.
  8. This guy stands in front of 20,000 people and, without a hint of irony, declares that he's a cowboy. On a steel horse, he rides. He's got no self awareness.
  9. I still know every word. And, there is no dialogue, other than the songs, so I know every word to the whole play!
  10. Has any Sabres game ever got what the Bills got for a preseason game last night? The game had a 26.5 rating on Channel 2 http://blogs.buffalonews.com/talkintv/2014/08/bills-preseason-opener-gets-exceptional-rating.html
  11. I saw that in Toronto I think in 1996. It starred Diahann Carroll...............She was OK, but the male lead was this guy named Rex Smith. I used to mock out my sister for having his albums in the 70s or 80s - he was a pretty boy Rick Springfield type..........But, I had to tell her, I was wrong. He was awesome in this play!
  12. That's what I just thought. That was NOT well crafted at all
  13. Even though you didn't want to hijack this thread, it certainly has mostly become about Brandon, and not about the sale of the team.
  14. That's really good news. Thanks!
  15. I wish I hadn't read this by Tim Graham. I thought Jimbo had got past this type of behavior in recent years (I knew firsthand he could be like this in the past), but this is from a year ago.........The headline writer tries to say that he's grown in the last year, but Graham's article really doesn't say much about that: Also in their row were Buffalo Bills legends James Lofton and Billy Shaw and the team’s founder, Ralph Wilson, out of his wheelchair and held upright by Jim Brown and Frank Gifford. What a glorious moment. Yet as Kelly walked away from the photo shoot he snapped at a reporter who asked how special it was to see Wilson make a rare outing. “Look,” Kelly said less than two months after cancer surgery, “I have my own problems to worry about.” http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/kelly-shows-hes-learned-some-lessons-from-a-year-of-challenges-20140803
  16. Oh well, it was a great thought!
  17. I had DVRd it, so when I watched it, I'm like WTF did my DVR screw up? That was weird!
  18. Flutie has been friends with JBJ for a long time. They made a big point about that before the big Jets game in 1998. That both he and Belichick are good friends with Bon Jovi.
  19. Luckily, there haven't been a ton of these gruesome injuries, but I can't remember anybody at his level having one............So, I'm really wondering how he'll come back. The area of the leg and what it looked like - looked like Theisman's. And, he never played again. HE was very good, but was older.........I wonder how a top player like George - in his prime - will fare............I hope he gets to at least 95%.
  20. Wasn't Marv the coach? Gilbride the OC?
  21. That was a great post, and come home, Dirtdart!
  22. Thanks! It's awesome how good he's doing. I wasn't sure I'd ever hear him sound like Jim Kelly again, and he is 100%...........Praying that the scans are clear in a few weeks.
  23. It is amazing how that team really got their due. I never thought it would happen.
