You are exactly right. I pointed that out to one of our fine monkeys last time we argued this, and he said he wouldn't care if it was played in front of an empty studio.
IMO, you are exactly right - and if TV is where the money really is, they have to do their best to make sure people like me are there to provide the viewing audience with what they want (except for I guess a few people) - the passion in the stands.
The trustees get a % of the trust, right, just for being a trustee, like an executor of a will gets, right?
But, Bucky was blasting the Pegulas before Pat L came and went, so what was that all about?
Those who are calling it a monopoly: Aren't there other monopolies, such as utilities and such. I bet some even get tax breaks and subsidies.
Do they give you free electricity then?
You don't get your PSL money back. You can possibly sell it and get money back that way, but you don't get it back from the team............And, many PSLs lose value or are worthless.
I agree with Alan Pergament. Lifting the blackout rules is not good for the Bills, in the long term:

I listened to them for about 90 minutes today, and I never heard Schoop say this?
He was annoying to me in that he was saying something like it didn't really mean much to him that they were staying, because he figured they would be for months, but that he was really looking forward to them turning things around now.
Bulldog really "got" the whole thing. The big picture, what it means to us all.
I wish somebody would write a book about the last 6 months.
Well, your memory is really good, except for one thing - the Jordan thing happened the next year - vs. the Redskins.
This week is bigger no matter what. Would you rather have an active team that hasn't won the Super Bowl or a defunct team that did win one?
You are so right. I was like We finally make the Super Bowl and we're in our first war since Vietnam?!? It definitely took some away from me that week (that and the worst flu by far I have ever had).
This week is the best. This one is for keeps.

For the past decade, at least, he was in every "future of the Bills" article in the Buffalo News - always happily explaining from his ivory tower how the Bills are not sustainable in Buffalo upon Ralph Wilson's death.
