  1. I'd like it if he got a weekly radio show.
  2. I was very tempered during the 5-2 start in 2011. I kept saying they're doing it with mirrors - you can't keep counting on turnovers..........Where is the talent on this team? (I have to admit, I finally bought in when we had pass rush in the Skins game to make it 5-2, when of course then the pie was thrown in my face). This year - we have talent and depth all over the field. Only EJ still worries me.
  3. Nice - that should be a fun weekend for you!
  4. I like yours better! And, Ex, yes - that game was so disappointing. Loved that '80 team.
  5. We just had our Sabres ticket draft tonight of our season tickets. I didn't realize that the Sabres have an afternoon game at 3PM on Columbus Day October 13th............So, people coming in from out of town might want to stay an extra day, esp. if they have off, and leave Monday night.
  6. Great assessment of all them. Totally agree about Sully - those articles you mentioned, that seemingly come about once a year, show how good he could be. The original Darryl Talley "plug in" article, his article about the 1999 Sabres Cup run (it isn't life or death, but it is life) are a couple of others that were as good as it gets. But, his attitude and laziness prevents him from making them the rare exception to his rule.
  7. You're the 2nd guy who doesn't realize that BPA is being sarcastic.
  8. I can't keep track of this **** anymore.
  9. He was negative from the day he got here.
  10. My father said during the 1980 season, when it was our first good team in awhile - that good teams don't get hurt, they hurt the other team. That '80 team was relatively injury free. Jeff Nixon was the only one who went down and luckily Chuck Knox coaxed Bill Simpson out of retirement. So far, this is what this team is doing. Knocking on wood!
  11. Is there anywhere to see his pregame speech today? I got there just after that, and I know I missed an emotional event.
  12. He hasn't been with GR for years, but he still does the rap for them.
  13. Bruce Popko ‏@BrucePopko 5h Lined up for the RV lot @RalphStadium #GoBills pic.twitter.com/LMkoaLlz8f
  14. Ah, the old win the in laws over with drunken boar hunting using a fake Boston accent. It's a story as old as time..
  15. Damn, yeah - I meant the trust, not the lease! Mark Gaughan had an article similar to what you're saying about Graham, and I thought it was going to get specific but it never did. I'd love to know what Ralph's instructions were!
  16. I tweeted and John Murphy read it - when he his topic was the most anticipated openers ever - that that one wasn't the most anticipated (this year and '86 would be that, and that Titans game after Home run Throwback), but it turned out to be the best! But, I mentioned, and he said Yes, he definitely remembers it - the week leading up, Bob Keuchenberg proclaimed "I will never lose to the Bills" and that did boil our blood for that game (but we figured he was probably right) That Toomay game - that and the just give it to them game, are the biggest ripoff games in our history. It knocked us out of the playoffs and I went to that game the next week, where they hung the ref in effigy in the tunnel..........And, it was the snow game vs; the Vikings where Chuck Foreman got hit in the eye. But earlier that year, I went to this game with my Dad. I can't find a writeup, but it's definitely the game, We are beating the Dolphins by 9 in the 4th quarter and somehow lose. I remember at least one of Jake Scott's INTs being the killer. He might have got them both in the 4th. I remember walking out of the stadium, with my heart torn out, and there were a bunch of drunks filing out with us, laughing and singing and **** - and my 13 year old brain is saying How can anybody be happy right now?!? Here's the game. I hope somebody else remembers it. It was one of many heartbreakers with them in the 70s and seems to be forgotten: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/197510260buf.htm
  17. Have the terms of the lease that had the provisions about staying in WNY been released, and, if not, will they?
  18. I'm 6'0"..............What you're saying is pretty much impossible. You have to move your head around to get the sightline and hope the guy next to him isn't doing the same thing. I've had to just tell them to cut the ****. If you're 6 feet or so, I would say the drop between rows is probably a foot, so even if it was a five foot girl, her arms will extend two feet above her head, and be exactly at eye level.
  19. !@#$! Seriously, those damn towels again?!? Nothing more annoying than the person in front of you waving it above their head, so you can't see the !@#$ing game!
  20. That's exactly what I find most disturbing. It wasn't like Oh, man - look what I've done! It was business as usual.
  21. True. We've all been there.
  22. Nicely played!
  23. Why won't you answer my question?
