That really sucks for the Saints after committing a ton of money to Byrd. And, I love it. Not the injury, but just that he was a bust even before that, and the whole thing is a bust now. Maybe teams won't let Parker blackmail them in the future.

I'm really talking more in general than just Byrd (I have the feeling he and NO were having communications beforehand)...........But, you always here about a team trying to get something for somebody they are about to cut, and then everybody on the radio says the same thing "Why would a team give up something, when they can sign him for free next week." Well, to me, the answer to that is because then you know you have the player, and if you are going to attempt to sign him as a free agent, well there just be a number of other teams that think the same thing.

When it switched to those shirtless guys in an octagon who were getting ready to pummel each other, I couldn't switch the channel fast enough.

I always see this line of thinking, but wouldn't it be because then you get the player, instead of having 1/31 the chance of getting the player? But, it's in response to this guy really going on the limb, which people on the last page were questioning who could possibly be worse this year.

I would like to know this, too. There really aren't words to say how great it is what Ralph did in his end of life planning.

And, I'll be the fifth or so here to say that I was told the same thing about him being diva like about this. I wish he didn't get hurt - and just continued to suck the rest of the year!

Aren't Littman and Brandon 2 of the four trustees or whatever they were called. If it works like being an executor of a will, they get a % of the trust. I think with a will it is 6%? But, even if it's 1%, I believe that would be 14M to them. And, I think the ad in the paper is a great idea. I don't have time to take point right now, but I would definitely contribute to that!.

I love it! I find it weird that his tackling is so poor. He really came on strong with his tackling in I think his 3rd year. That's when I really thought he was elite.

I agree. I hated him in high school and college, but then my girlfriend introduced me to his album cuts and I ended up with all his albums. I just don't like a lot of his hits, like that one. He even said - if all I knew were my hits, I'd hate me, too!

Exactly - Brad is the best! I didn't really like Bob Gaughan that much on GR, but he's been great with Brad on WECK and on the podcasts.

This would be like saying John Mellencamp has earned his stripes tenfold compared to John Lennon. Even though I love Mellencamp and don't like Lennon, I realize that that is just wrong. I read an article in Rolling Stone sometime this year talking about how Petty really got saved by the Wilburys. His life was really bottoming out in the 80s, and that pretty much saved him. Tom Petty never sold out?!? No, all those crappy MTV songs in the 90s weren't sell outs.

I agree with you on today's music. At least the stuff on the radio. It IS all crap.
