Did you read my post? I said I think the Royals are more hot than good, and the layoff will probably hurt them like it did the '07 Rockies, who were on fire for over a month, then had a long layoff before the Series, and got swept. It gives me a reason to care about it. They used to switch every other year. What's so fair about that? At least it's earned in some way here.

If anybody else was at the game (this must not have been shown on TV), did you see they moved the spot back and forth twice?!? I thought it should have been at the one or closer. They put it at the 2 or further. Then they moved to it to where I thought it should go.............Then when I looked again, it was back at the first spot! I said did they move it again?? And, my friends said yes.

Unfortunately, Van looks like he's in ill health. They drove him out in an old Caddy convertible, but he never got out. So, it was just Murph's tribute and it looked like Van and his wife in the back of the car, and I never even looked into the front seat. What's the story with his son?

I was reading about Denkinger tonight. He knows he's going to be in the media for the next week or so. But, the article I read, from Time, the writer said the same thing that I did - his memory was that that would have been the third out. That only would have been the first out. Pena (I think) was the leadoff batter that inning...........Then, St. Louis imploded. Screw that - they had their chance to overcome that. Even Denkinger just said it - they had the chance to get him off the hook.
