  1. Good to know. I had thought both Staals were out very long term..........Bob Gaughan said on Brad Riter's podcast last week that the Canes are just putting Cam Ward in to lose the games. But, then I looked and he had only played 5 games at that point.
  2. Got it. Not understanding the conflict at that certain level, his comments did appear innocuous to me.
  3. Don't we have to pay him now? He has the option of opting out after the season. The Fitz contract didn't really handcuff us. Seems that would be the way to go again.
  4. I thought you couldn't even get a learner's permit until you were 16
  5. Nice to see Carolina win two games finally. Sabres screw up by winning themselves, though! St. Louis goes on a 5 game winning streak, but the Islanders keep moving down.
  6. Yeah, I'm kidding. We're all kidding. Twitter is kidding. You think anybody is just talking about whatever is keeping him out right now?
  7. I thought about Thurman, Jim Kelly, Ronnie Lott, etc. when I was thinking about this thread. Like you said "only know that the great ones would play the game for nothing because they love the game"
  8. Really?!? What an idiot! I so hope he's a total bust
  9. Clowney would have been on IR.
  10. Got it!
  11. Yeah, I was thinking it would be a little deeper than that. The one guy talked about how somebody would really have to hit rock bottom to change the way he did. But, they really didn't talk about the rock bottom, other than the daughter saying he was depressed for most of her life, and grew in his faith. I did really like the "Boz" days - the highlights, the sound bites, etc. As much as I hated him then, it was really cool to see now. I agree with you about the documentary design. But, it seemed like Vlade wasn't a nationalist, but more that he didn't care about the politics, etc..............Maybe that's not true, and that's what you're trying to say.
  12. I don't like that song. But, I love Centerfield and Rock N Roll Girls. He finally played in Buffalo this year, with the great line about shuffling off to Buffalo.
  13. He sounded kinda humble (certainly not like the old Boz), but I would have liked more of how he came to this place of humbleness. That was brushed over in less than 5 minutes. He talked about others learning a lesson from him, but what was the lesson - don't have your shoulder go out? It seemed like all the Boz stuff was championed. He made the money from the T shirts mocking him out, etc. "Great marketer" Etc.............Where was the redemption story? And, he still seems to be lying about steroids. He said "back then, everybody thought it wasn't for football players - takes away your flexibility, etc. Only for bodybuilders. I used it to heal from an injury." That is utter bull. I remember it being an issue back then for football. I remember being on a plane reading about it in SI, I believe. And, they made it sound that the fans wouldn't want the players not to take them, and not be this fast, and this hard hitting etc..................I turned to my friend and asked him if they were slightly slower, etc. would he not watch the games, and just like me, he said of course not. So, I know he's lying about that. And, he went back and forth on it, when he took it - because before the press at the Orange Bowl, you see him admitting he took them. (And, not in this pre-Switzer telling him to stop era) I actually just finished watching this one (at the time my DVR screwed up, and having heard how good it was, I bought it on itunes). I don't know all that much about the Serbia-Crotia deal. What do you take issue with?
  14. The title needs editing
  15. God, what a mess. And, yet he's still smiling: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/college/acc/university-of-miami/article3516726.html
  16. And that non-competitive attitude is why he likely will not live up to his potential. How fans of sports can applaud this is beyond me. The two people I am really rooting against his him and Byrd for the same crap.
  17. You moved it, right? The way I'm reading it, the MRSA was found first: “I came down with MRSA,” he said. “I was cleared in September of the cancer — I have another MRI in two weeks. The toughest part for me was I was almost ready to take out my feeding tube, I was feeling good and they said they need to do some biopsies. Those 12 biopsies put me back so far.” Kelly said he then underwent surgery “to shave some of the bone down so the biopsies can heal over.” Read more here: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/college/acc/university-of-miami/article3485154.html#storylink=cpy
  18. I linked to it above. It was in that thread. It was posted by Donald Duck. Now Donald Duck's post is gone and so is my reply to him.............Why the hell would that be????? It was in the Miami Herald I believe - on Thursday. :wallbash: :wallbash: I found the article. Kelly said he then underwent surgery “to shave some of the bone down so the biopsies can heal over.” http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/college/acc/university-of-miami/article3485154.html Read more here: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/college/acc/university-of-miami/article3485154.html#storylink=cpy
  19. Belichick ordered this up because Peyton is not good in snow!
  20. When did a national championship become nothing? I'm sure he was insured, so his "family" would be taken care of. I hate what he did. I saw him give up on a play in overtime that decided the game (SC ended up winning it, but though no effort of his)
  21. PSU players went through them during warmups or something, and they had a scuffle.
  22. It was. This was posted yesterday: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/172411-psa-jim-kelly-on-mike-lupica-show-2pm-est/#entry3319570
  23. Ha - I was trying to figure out who that kld looked like when I watched episode 1. That's it!
  24. I'm so glad I bailed finally after episode one this season.
