  1. Buffalo Sabres @BuffaloSabres · 57 minutes ago The #Sabres have outshot their opponents in 4 straight games for the 1st time since Nov. 2 to 8, 2011. #CHIvsBUF Great timing, aholes!! I am going to use the word that has been going on here since October...........Our "lead" over the Coyotes is unsustainable.
  2. The Sabres. BTW, I don't remember ever seeing a game where both teams pulled the goalies.
  3. My joy was short lived. No way we are competing with this: https://twitter.com/YotesHereToStay/status/584179161075286016/video/1
  4. Something that I was just listening to reminded me to post this. Did anybody catch Laettner running away from the fight between Nichols and South Park? Probably a smart thing to do with the career he had ahead, but it didn't fit it well with all the talk about how tough he was and what a bully he was.
  5. This whole thing, where we have been dialed into team's motives so much proves to me what I've always thought - there are way too regular season games. In the playoffs, you don't question anybody's motives or effort, really. But, hockey to me has always been a game where effort is rewarded the most. I remember in the late 80s, the Flyers being so depleted yet making a playoff run essentially with the Hershey Bears on their team. So, here we have a JV team, and just because they are mad at the fans, they are all of sudden outshooting teams for the first time all season. if all the teams were giving their all, we wouldn't have anything to worry about. But, we just faced two teams who are mailing it in............Then, you have teams that are totally set for the playoffs. Are they really going to give it their all over the last few games, just for seeding when it means less in hockey than any other sport? If there were less games, they'd all be giving full effort. The same applies to the NBA, where Lebron goes to Miami for two weeks, Pop rests his starters all the time (well, only on road games - home teams keep the money from the home attendance)............So, really everybody is tanking in some way.
  6. How do you even know what the top stories are? It seems to an endless scroll - it was way better with having a top ten stories. This sucks. Why do tech people always have to fix what's not broken. (And, I know I'm a geezer who actually uses a desktop for most everything. I hate using my phone for online stuff, except email. Sorry, I mean my mobile device)
  7. This is what I'm looking for! Your despair has pulled us thru here many times! I agree with all this. But, I also wonder how much was stirred up by the aholes at the News? Listening on the radio and watching on TV on Thursday, I didn't hear these boos that supposedly happened. The only thing I really saw was the cheering for the game winner, which was such a nerve wracker, you couldn't hold that in. But, the News writers just keep pounding. The only one they got to say crap was Weber. And, guess who the Buffalo hockey writers nominated for the Masterson Trophy yesterday - none other than Mike Weber. Nothing fishy there.
  8. This has got me so pissed off and worried about tonight that I need Zevo to come and declare everything lost!
  9. Oh. As a Bona fan, I really don't want Shaka to leave the A-10.
  10. This really is worrisome. I can't really think of anybody that this has happened to.
  11. We should start a conversation about this.
  12. I guess that's as good of an answer as any!
  13. I won't reply to Watkins, that's for sure. This whole thing seems to be driven by the Buffalo News. They wanted their story on Thursday, and the crowd was not nearly what they made it out to be. But, they were going to stick to their story, no matter the facts. Now, the players seem to have got fired up by them. Asking the same question over and over.
  14. I think that was his brother who was in the running there.
  15. Mark Gaughan's article Saturday said Hurley desperately wanted the job I don't get why DePaul isn't way better. They used to be great. And, really haven't been Since Ray Meyer. A traditional power in Chicago - you would think they'd be a team somebody could turn around.
  16. This is really timely: Published: 17:28 EST, 16 January 2014
  17. I think we need way less conversations
  18. I used to love the story that went something like this: Jack Kent Cooke kept pushing for a team in Los Angeles. One of his arguments was that there "are 300,000 Canadians living in Los Angeles."....He got the team in the '67 expansion. And, the attendance was horrible.............Then he said "No wonder all these people left Canada. They hate hockey!"
  19. I've wondered in the last 15 years or so - why do the mannequins need nipples?!?
  20. Unless somebody offers $2M plus, like Depaul was.
  21. All I know is that I wish our players were giving lame efforts like the Leafs!
  22. Just like Schoop and the Bulldog basing their whole show yesterday on whether they would trade #2 plus a lot up to get #1, I think the standing ovation thinking is premature. This thing is so far from being over - mainly because - Toronto!
  23. I would rather play anybody but the Leafs next. Ugh!
  24. I hate that - when Wilhelm is always screaming at Kornheiser on PTI.
