  1. Same here. I don't know why either!
  2. Wasn't this exact same story posted last year!?!
  3. Pretty funny how these two stories are on top of each other on the News' website: Sully: Babcock loss huge blow to Sabres "This was a crushing blow for Pegula and Co. I'm not going to be phony about it." Harrington: Losing Babcock is not big setback "Woe is us? Woe, Sabres? ... What Sabres don't need is a guy who came here only for the money."
  4. I think it's called Christian Central or something like that. I remember seeing a tweet or something from a girl who said she used to play basketball against her "and she was a beast!"
  5. Keith Richards will outlive all of us.
  6. Because he's negotiated his own discounts with them. Including them giving him hundred or thousands of free preseason tickets that they "had a clerical error" and accounted for them as giveaways to military people.
  7. Yeah, that's what I said about the squares a few pages back. Exactly!
  8. That's what he says in the article I linked to.
  9. I can't believe the url starts with this now: http://buckyandsully.buffalonews.com/
  10. That's what the rule was going to be...........And, then everybody wanted to make it more "exciting." This is going to be a circus.
  11. Sully manages to attack the town he lives in in, the Pegulas, and the Sabres organization..............And, plays both sides of the fence: http://buckyandsully.buffalonews.com/2015/05/20/dont-kid-yourselves-this-is-a-huge-blow-to-the-sabres/
  12. I wonder if these are the "preferred ticket vendors": http://www.scrippsmedia.com/newschannel5/news/newschannel-5-investigates/Ticket-Deal-Put-Titans-In-Business-With-Scalper-304167631.html
  13. Now when a team is driving, we'll have all this extra excitement wondering if this is going to be for 6, 7 or 8 points. I say we up the excitement quotient - once a team gets in the end zone, we spin a wheel and they get anywhere from 1 to 10 points. i guess the one good thing this will be good for is giving more of an even field in the Super Bowl squares.
  14. I can't imagine how great of a feeling riding a bike must be - to put yourself in so much danger. I love the feeling of skiing. It would have to be at least double that for me to get on a bike. I do think bike deaths are way down this year. Usually that third page of the local news in the Buffalo News would have had 10 deaths by now. I think there's only been one this year. Putting your lives in the hands of idiots texting all the time just is too much now, even if you do everything perfect.
  15. I, for one, really didn't need the face of football changed. I hate games where you are "chasing the point." Now it's going to be all the time. And, I'm not really a fan of the mid range jump shot being taken out of the game. The analytics showed that you either shoot in close with a high % of making it. Or, you shoot threes and get 150% of the points you get if you shoot just a few feet closer.
  16. I totally agree. I'm listening to John Murphy right now saying how this will make it more exciting, etc. Two years ago, they wanted to get rid of it all together. Which I was for. Why trick up the game and yes, we will have heartbreak over this. The extra point is pretty much the stupidest rule in sports. You earn your touchdown - what the !@#$ does a kick or play from the two after it have to do with it. No other sport messes with the scoring in this way. I just don't think it's in the interest of fairness. It's in the interest of making "things exciting"
  17. But, the Buffalo News said he has to be at more Sabres games - like a real GM.
  18. Don't worry - you'll soon be under martial law anyway.
  19. But, they still have that sign up that they won best roast beef sandwich at A Taste of Buffalo - in 1987!
  20. Can you throw in a dbag to be named later?
  21. So, you'll spend $6 in gas looking for it, but you don't want to pay the $6 shipping charge?!? Are you related to EII?!?
  22. Not sure if it's been on this thread, but I read somewhere yesterday that Babcock expects to decide by Wednesday at the latest.
  23. That's what I'm afraid of. I don't really see an upside to this thing. State controlled media. And, we're not going to get any extra games or anything - we have them all anyway...........At least with Empire, I was able to get a lot more of my Bonnies games, since Rigas was a big fan. But, now almost every Bonnies game is on national or regional TV anyway. More than even during the Empire days.
