I have the feeling that McDonald's, etc. would love to use kiosks and as much automation as possible. I also wonder if they have feared a backlash at cutting a major part of their workforce in lieu of technology. But, now this whole thing has provided them the cover to do it. Yes, like I was saying upthread, I have not been hearing them and William C. Rott and the other nonsense that that marketing company was putting out. I had to look that up back then, because I had no idea what they were singing. It was driving me nuts. Turns out they made up the word!

I changed the channel for good when he went on one of these rants. It was a Monday in September or October. Out of the box - he's raving about how great some football game was - and saying and We're supposed to be talking about a bunt? A bunt?!? It was some controversial play regarding a call about a bunt. I don't remember the particulars. But, I remember him doing it in such a way that anybody who really isn't paying attention to what he is saying would be like Oh yeah, he's right. Colin's so smart. Football is great. Baseball sucks. It was all in his asshat delivery. "A bunt?!?" Where football has the same kind of thing every single game. Stopping the clock for minutes on end to analyze this or that. To analyze "A toe? A toe on the ground?!? We're supposed to care where a toe is?!?!?" I'm so glad it was his football is king, so I'll ride that and mock out baseball continual ranting that got him canned, even if indirectly. to say so does not make you condescending. It makes you observant. Everything he says is said in a condescending way.

Yeah, we do have a misunderstanding. I know he's an !@#$ and you don't. It's one thing when Larry Felser would say on his radio show at the beginning of the season - KIng Football is back. It is king. But, he didn't tear down baseball or the other sports at the same time. Cowherd tears down Buffalo to prop up LA, tears down baseball to prop up football, tears down loyal fans to prop up bandwagon fans of winning teams. And, we'll see how long football is king - I know very few high school kids who play it, while all of them I know do play other sports. If Cowherd lasts as long as this evolution will take, he'll be proclaiming whatever sport is king then and tear down football. Because he's a winner! Big boy pants!

Yeah, his input to 30 for 30 type docs on HBO should be good. The weekly show is definitely something I'm going to check out..............I'm looking forward to him getting back on the podcast wagon asap. I hope wherever his writing ends up, he has an editor (although I know that won't happen) who can get down his War & Peace sized columns and mailbags to something where I end up reading the whole thing instead of running out of time.
