  1. Did this lie help him at all in his career - or was it totally useless and now will be his downfall. I can't imagine that, if he's good, he wouldn't be hired if he had told the truth. He was in midtown but that day made him decide to follow his dreams. This part is really funny!
  2. I remember some radio shows doing mashups with this thing and Edith Bunker!
  3. Does anybody know when the noise rule got eliminated? I remember games when I was a kid when the offense would keep going back to the huddle, the refs would threaten to throw the flag, and I believe occasionally did.
  4. Daily fantasy is getting ready to generate more losers in 2015 than ever before. Yup. Except for Ryan, of course.
  5. You left out the PS - Just as long as they are Muslims What's the difference between funding and paying for?
  6. 1. Russell 2. Kareem 3. Wilt 4. Moses 5. Akeem This is the list. Shaq is probably 6th. I know Bob Ryan thinks Bill Walton would be #1 if he had stayed healthy.
  7. I actually like Suzyn Waldman. I've listened to many hundreds of games with her and John, who both take a lot of crap. But, I still find this hilarious:
  8. Why does it seem like the rest of the world disagrees with you? Or is it the US Open phenomenon that I've seen over the decades. All you have to do is get older and the underdog and they love you, even if they hated you when you were younger. Connors was such a hated ahole, and then he makes that run in '91 where he was beloved. And, the fans were merciless on Aggasi. One reason being that if he was getting killed in a set, he'd tank it, to save up for the next one..........I turn to my friend and said when Connors does this and he completed my sentence "he's the sly fox" Move ahead, 15-20 years or whatever, and Aggasi is the beloved one making his final run at Flushing Meadow! Hahaha
  9. Report back - I bet he's good. I used to think the same thing as you, and just avoided him, but I've heard him on a number of podcasts, etc. in recent years, and he's been really funny.
  10. Rex has some of his history down, but not their post Bills lives. On the pregame, he has an interview with John Murphy, and Murph brought this up, and how Rex is a historian. He said Yeah, he had all these guys football cards, what a great team. He's really hoping he gets to shake their hands coming back from halftime. Guys like Tom Sestak and Jim Dunaway. Murph must not have had the heart to tell him that Sestak has been dead for about 3 decades and that OJ isn't the only ex Bill accused of killing his wife.
  11. I haven't been paying any attention, but the last I heard was that Byrd had a torn meniscus last year. I'm sure he was back in about 6 weeks and has been kicking butt ever since, since he is making a ton of money.
  12. I'd go with Gilbert Gottfried
  13. How whackily inconsistent can you be? You think it's OK for the football players to try to hurt the ref, and be 50x as violent, but the cop thinks he's got the suspect and brings him down in a way that doesn't hurt him, and you're railing about that.
  14. I don't know anything about the suspect. What I do know is that my eyes did not see somebody being "Body slammed!" He annoys me and it was funny how much the crowd was against him!
  15. I've got no home game. I don't even know what a home game is. But, if you turned 20 into 12K, you should be figuring out how to put your skills to work
  16. For those who didn't click. It's the James Blake video. I don't see what the deal is - he looked exactly like the guy who was getting ID'd. And, Blake says he was body slammed. It looks to me like the cop made sure he didn't get hurt by the way he brought him down to the ground. Body slam, my ass. Why didn't he have any injuries?
  17. Sounds like Ryan kicked the pro pokers players' butts, too
  18. It worked great for me today. But, my friend next to me couldn't get it to work!
  19. Are those all his kids?
  20. Ah, that's probably it.
  21. They said a couple of weeks ago when Darryl Dawkins died that he was the first to come out of high school. I think they were wrong (whoever I was watching or reading) and that Moses was. Strange that both died so close - and they were obviously both Sixers, as well.
  22. I saw the reaction of some women on the field on the TVs in the hallways. Were they his daughters, etc?
  23. Indeed, that was very relaxing.
