  2. Oddly, tickets for tomorrow's Leafs game are cheaper than I ever remember a Leafs game: https://www.stubhub.com/buffalo-sabres-tickets-buffalo-sabres-buffalo-first-niagara-center-10-21-2015/event/9342069/
  3. I didn't realize that Rachel Maddow's maiden name is Rachel Perry.
  4. Exactly. It's a valid comparison to our situation, and a good twist about Schwartz.
  5. You're one of the 1%
  6. Nope Actually, I don't think he even knew it. It's his agent who screwed me.
  7. Eff Niese. He actually owes me $400. True story.
  8. The thing I hated most about it was the last line - "Post this if you agree. I bet 99% of you won't." (I'm sure it was written by somebody who normaly writes about hating the 1%ers. Now,. they hate the 99 %ers)
  9. This just annoyed me:
  10. I turned out the game twice last night and both times Tampa scored within 30 seconds.
  11. What is this injury that Aaron has? I would think that when he got hurt and had no feeling on one side of his body that it would involve the nervous system - a spinal injury? But, that doesn't seem to be the case? How does a neck injury make you not be able to feel your body, and then the feeling comes back, and it causes problems again? I just don't understand what the actual injury is.
  12. What type of thing does this? My mother was on life support and then came out of it, but it was pneumonia that almost killed her. What does he have that puts him in such a near death situation, and now hopefully he's coming back?
  13. Prayers for Bill. I would have come back from Sunday's game and went to my computer to see Bill's post first. Hopefully, he takes a week off and will be back at it next week.
  14. 1969 here. Saw them for my first MLB game July 20, 1970. Tom Seaver vs. Gaylord Perry with Willie Mays being honored before the game for recently getting his 3000th hit. Loved the Mets and liked the Yankees. Then, the Yankees were on TV every night, so I loved the Yankees and liked the Mets. Then, I went away to college in 1980 with a lot of NY/LI/NJ people - and lots of Mets fans. I found out quick how much Mets fans hate the Yankees, so in 10 years they went from my favorite team to my most hated team. I must be softening because I was rooting big time for them against the Dodgers, even with Donnie Baseball. Damn, I had the date a week off. Turns out Seaver and Perry both pitched complete games. I remember Joe Foy's home run, but not Cleon Jones': http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYN/NYN197007270.shtml
  15. How was your Deliverance weekend?
  16. Old Yankee Stadium was waaaay better than new Yankee Stadium, too
  17. Great - thanks! I don't know what I was doing wrong. They're not on itunes, are they? Or, maybe you know the answer to this - the thing I love about itunes is being able to start up where you left off. Is there a way to do that if you download these or just listen to the links?
  18. I have been trying to find podcasts or these types of things on 1270. The website is sooo busy, I can't find anything, even when looking in the podcast section. I've sent questions to them with no answers. How do you get to this?
  19. In yesterday's paper, I saw he's leading the league in scoring. :wallbash:
  20. I'm glad you're gone from WNY. Don't need you clogging up the roadways!
  21. I think you're misremembering some stuff
