That's exactly what it seemed like in these situations that I mentioned.

There were a few times Sunday where we were across the 50 and had something like 3rd and 9 or 10. We kept going for it all and then punting on 4th and same, which makes it somewhat a not horrible call to punt. IMO, these should be treated as 4 down territory all the way. You can just pick up 4-5 yards on third and then have a very manageable 4th down, and not do the incredibly stupid thing of punting within enemy territory.

I think Rex has to really get on Carpenter's case. It's worked so well - and always does with kickers. All they have to do is try harder. Putting pressure on them is great coaching. It works really well for golfers, three point specialist in basketball, and several other things where you really just have to realize that it all depends on you and you have to come through so just give 110%

It was obvious he let Woods make the call, which before even seeing the replay, I figured was a bad decision.........But, then he didn't let Hogan make the call, probably because he got burned by Woods. Woods should have known if he made a catch or not - and not doubly screwed the team.
