He was fired because his vaunted D sucked. What else is there to know?...................I don't remember, and maybe I've got a bad memory on this - but do other teams come out and detail WHY they would fire their coach? All I ever remember is "we decided to go in another direction and we wish him well."

I think Tyler still lives in Buffalo, though. He was definitely the best football writer (after Mark Gaughan moved to college sports) by a mile and I didn't think he'd last long with those clowns.

What would be your theory on this? Given that leaffly.com is right about this.

I think the major reason for this is that it was the only game in between Christmas and New Year's - and everybody comes home and wants to see a Sabres game. The weird part is that I read on twitter that a lot of people left with 6 minutes left in a tie game. I did have the game on after it went 3-2 and saw a lot of empty seats, with 3 minutes left, which never makes sense to me in a one goal game, even if they are looking bad.

Actually, I don't think they were this bad - until they got rid of the Associated Press a few years ago. Now all their national and political stories are from either the NYT or the Wapo, so it's really bad now.

That's exactly how I heard it. Last night, I knew it was the third hour, so I listened to 27 minutes in order to get to that. And, then I'm like - he's not really yelling a the kid! The kid was gone after two sentences or so. I agree with this, though...............I listen to a lot of Yankee games, and John Sterling is always criticizing Girardi's strategy, the lack of hitting, etc. And, I thought he was a homer until Murph started his show.

What did he do two years ago against the Bills? Have them play half the game? He sure didn't go all out.

And, I'm one of the few readers left of the physical Buffalo News newspaper. A few years ago, they got rid of AP............Now, every national story is either from the Post or the Times. It drives me nuts.

Whenever I hear him on that show, he is always wrong with his takes on the Bills. It's impossible to know what's going on with all 32 teams.

I wonder if smoking pot is the cure for that?

I swear the league is run by neanderthals. The hockey got so good after the lockout. So, of course, they go back to the old ways. It's even worse when you lose every one of them!

I know everybody after this post is blaming it on the bad years we've had, but I actually remember being at the last playoff series we were in vs.the Flyers and saying where is the crowd. It's just sitting here. Comparing it to a Bills game is not even in the same league. I don't think it's the design of the building, either - since I was at many playoff games before in that building and the place was insane.

It's got a new owner recently. I"m not sure it's even open, since they are renovating.

I'm listening to the postgame the other night, and Paul Hamilton says something like when this guy and that guy get back, then the team will be fully healthy.................I hate when anybody says that for any team. Yeah, I'm sure nobody is going to get hurt from here on out!!
