The Buffalo News said a week or so ago that there were all kinds of rumors about Okposo and none of them good. What were the rumors? -

Speaking of Charles Murray, the author of The Bell Curve, he is on Sam Harris' podcast this week. It is very interesting: https://www.samharris.org/podcast/item/forbidden-knowledge -
True. I was at the Minnesota Thursday night game in Week 2. We go 2-0. Everybody's chanting "Don't strike!" But, the good thing to come out of it was in '87, the players took a different approach, and had their own practices, etc. - and the glory days commenced after that strike.................In between the two strikes - OMG! Although '83 wasn't too bad, but it was so weird knowing that Joe Cribbs was leaving. I'm exactly the same way. Part of it is age, and part of it is that these years have very little that is memorable!

Gregg Allman reportedly enters hospice: update rip

He's really connected to Buffalo somehow. In the early 70s, a number of ABB brothers came to Brylin (Linwood Bryant at the time) for rehab, then he had the whole Cher thing where they kept coming here to try to patch things up...............And, I know people from the Southtowns who say that he used to live there and they would see him and talk to him at some bars. -
I don't see a GM opening?

We would have had the Raiders at home in the AFC Championship, and the weather that day was, well, I just looked it up - 2 degrees was the low and 6 degrees was the high.

I'll buy you a beer at Buffalo Wild Wings next time you're here in WNY. They've got great wings. You're in for a treat that you can't get anywhere else!

My favorite team......My name is on that Dolphins goal post, wherever it might be these days. Haha - I was wondering why you hadn't posted yet!.............I had a few windows open and posted mine, and then yours appeared!

Wow, I would have figured that BC would have been one of the best!.............So, Denver travels well, I take it? Were there more Denver or Notre Dame fans in their meeting in the FF in Chicago?.................How do you think Penn State will be now? -

I don't know who the old money is that would be tied in with the News. But, I'm guessing by his editorial comment he is referring to the News being left wing and taking an editorial stance against a presumed right winger who made his money in fracking? -

I think you're right about Syracuse getting the 16/8 over Buffalo. The Carrier Dome has been in the regional rotation since the 80s, before they started using domes for every Final Four and a lot of the regionals, so I think they'll still be in that rotation. LIke you said, they at least cut the dome in half............There was discussion a few years ago about Buffalo going after the regional, but some people think it's better to have the sub-regional - you have 8 fan bases that way. -

You were right at one time, but that's changed in recent years. Sweet Sixteen/Elite Eight has been going to less domes every year. And, now this year it was 4 arenas, no domes - Memphis, MSG, KC and San Jose. I was wondering what teams travel for hockey. So many of the schools seem so small that I don't think they would have a big traveling fan base - UMass-Lowell, Denver, UM-Duluth, etc. -

I'm thinking I'm just !@#$ed in life. I was in ICU and in terrible pain after for 6 weeks in 1992. Back then, the hospitals didn't seem to care that much about pain.................Then, soon after, it became all about pain managment. The 1-10 scale, etc.................I haven't had terrible pain in 25 years. Nothing where I needed pain medicine................Now, they're going to go back to the way it was 25 years ago - and I'm inevitably going to be in terrible pain that they will not care as much about again.

The print version of this on the front page of the paper has a picture of a guy, says his name, and "loads boxes of free food into his car at the monthly food pantry in Perry" Do you think if this was an inner city food pantry that they would use the same wording? -

I've gotta say that I thought the God Bless America in the 7th was just going to be for the rest of 2001 after 9/11, and think it's ridiculous and I have a feeling all the players, etc. do, too. -
I was reading the Cardale thread and this is what I see posted by him: Posted Yesterday, 08:41 PM Original thought. Obviously needs a thread.

I've answered twice, although the 2nd time you might not have seen it in the reply (you saw the 2nd part of my reply and you answered that): Sully is saying the Bills are idiots for wasting money (like that matters) by looking at QBs. And, they're idiots for signing Tyrod - because the reasoning was that the draft class for QBs is bad. Now, they're looking at them and furthermore, the Browns might even pick one. Since you want quotes "As usual, the QBs are shooting up the mock drafts. Mel Kiper has Mahomes up to 13. The Browns are thinking of taking Trubisky first overall" ...................And, then two inches over, Vic says: So the Cleveland Browns just might not select stud edge-rusher Myles Garrett with the top overall pick of the NFL Draft and go with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky instead. So the Buffalo Bills are taking up-close looks at Trubisky and other QB prospects they could be considering at No. 10. Welcome to the giant cloud of smoke that permeates throughout the NFL this time of year. It takes the form of information that might very well be short on truth but long on trying to convince other teams to react in ways that benefit clubs sharing their "intentions." In most cases, the goal is to draw trade interest from a team looking to move up. Garrett is, by far, the best player in the draft. Seeing him go anywhere but No. 1 is ridiculous. If the Browns could gain more choices and still get a QB, that's a win.
