Why was it being recorded was my first question on Sunday. And, then the thing that made me feel like it was even less genuine was that she asked something like "Are you the only one?" and he cried Yeah. That wasn't what she was looking for so she asked again in a leading way - and this time he answered the way she wanted, and that led him into his rant about other children. (Which was what I saw people pick up on - they liked they he was concerned about other children, too)

Exactly. My grandmother came from Mexico when she was 17. Her parents were from Spain. She spoke with a heavy accent and we laughed with her about it all her life. My grandfather was from Spain. He died when I was two months old, so I never knew him. There were funny stories about him screwing up English his barber customers, though. My mother spoke Spanish and no English until she went to kindergarten. She never spoke with an accent............But, this somehow was how Poles would still speak with Polish accents who were never in the country of Poland!

I thought it was because somehow a lot of Polish people who were born in America had Polish accents. That made no sense and made them sound stupid.

I think I'm the only person who really didn't like the Carol Burnett show. The rest of those shows on CBS on Saturday night were all great, though. The Bob Newhart Show is underrated............I thought it was funnier than MTM, thought MTM was great in it's own way.

He wasn't a beast against the Bonnies a week ago. He had 5 points and 3 turnovers - and generally looked bad. Glad he picked this week to get into Beast Mode.

He used to sing the national anthem for the Rams even for the road games, apparently, because I saw him in the early 70s, shortly after the merger sing it at the Rockpile.........I was excited to see Gomer. He was actually really big then.

I don't know how Canadians have this "nice" reputation. I've been to so many bars where Canadians were being aholes and starting fights all the time.

He is - just ask him. I remember that big Saturday feature on him in the News when he was working at Rigas' station - about how he's a mensa and yet doing this lowbrow radio gig - but it was "sports talk for smart people" I don't believe it, either. I'm pretty sure he was "sick" on Thanksgiving Sunday last year........"Not afraid to you use them" - haha - that's for sure!
