  1. Haha. It is always my ice breaker for corportate away days.... two truths and a lie type games... I scored a winning goal in an FA Cup tie. It's true. It was just the Extra-Preliminary round in August, 3 months before professional teams enter and 8 months before the final.
  2. Bryce Brown's fumble and then Jamal Charles touchdown from 4th and 1 at midfield. That was the worst game for me. 2014. Win that game and Marrone almost certainly ends the drought. And the Bills were better than KC that day. Beat themselves.
  3. No I think that is right. By midseason I think that was the view. I don't think he is either.
  4. I suspect he is more on about the flirting with other women on a boat his girlfriend is also on. And I agree with Aaron Quinn on that. Don't presume everyone's relationship has to work in a traditional manner. Let people live how they wanna live. The drugs is a different issue but looking at the tweet he replied to not sure that is what Aaron meant. Bowie was bisexual. He had multiple male partners. There are rumours about Jagger but unsubstantiated I think.
  5. We will see. If Flacco starts this year it will be a walking disaster. I guarantee you.
  6. I am not that high in Sanders either. The difference between us here is you think the corpse of Joe Flaccon can still play. I don't. Not even a little bit. Yea but you hear people talk about the first half of that season and they were not sure he was the best QB on the roster. Most talented, yep. But he still had some kinks and Smith was playing good ball.
  7. You can sit a guy who is clearly the best guy for 2 weeks. Or 3 weeks. You can't do it much beyond that. Your locker room won't buy it and frankly the guy who is better and sitting won't buy it either. You might have been able to do that 25 years ago. You can't today. I didn't love Sanders either (although I did have a day 2 grade). But I think the rest of the options suck. And he will end up comfortably the best guy on that roster. And I do mean comfortably.
  8. Sure. But when someone is clearly the best Quarterback on the roster not having them play is never the right decision.
  9. Nor me. I can't do boats. The first wobble and I hurl.
  10. And then Miami claimed him off waivers I think. If he made it through waivers I expected the Bills to try and bring him back.
  11. Been saying it since the draft - The best QB on that roster is Sanders. And yet he is not gonna get a shot at the job. Only in Cleveland.
  12. Oh that it were only celebs though. I know people who have lost jobs because of dumb stuff they have done when partying and a video emerges on facebook or whatever. I guess I just an old man shouting at the clouds. But if I could wind the clock back on social media I would happily do so.
  13. I don't condone anyone doing drugs, I agree, they ruin untold lives. But I agree on the social media has ruined partying. Everyone has to be on their guard the whole time. I've done some stupid ***** when drunk or just when in high spirits with my friends back in the day. Luckily "picture phones" as well called them could only snap stills and you had to be very, very still or you just got a blur and if you tried to send it to anyone it took about a week to upload.
  14. Sort of true, except for the fact the game vs Miami where he did his achillies in early 2023 was one of his best games as a Bill. He was back to all pro Tre that day.... the first time he looked like it post the ACL. And then... it was all over.
  15. I'd have WR as "below average (average potential)" and S as "below average (above average potential)." I think if Bishop takes a big step AND he can dovetail effectively with Rapp (I'm sceptical on both but particularly the latter) then I think safety can be above average this year. But it needs both those things to happen. I honestly don't see a way for our WRs to be above average. Not immediately clear to me where the above average potential comes from?
  16. The only part of this where I'm in a slightly different place is I think Strong is a very possible "cut." I think he is in the same bucket as Jackson and White and Ingram and Lewis. I don't think he has a leg up in that competition. I think those 5 guys are probably battling for 2 or 3 spots. I'm not saying he WILL be cut. He could absolutely earn a job. But he is in that bottom of the corner depth chart battle IMO. If it looks like he will miss out watch out for him being pulled out of a pre-season game 3 with a "foot" injury that lands him on IR.
  17. Good lord remember how awful Tasker was as a CBS color guy?
  18. I think we are definitely DEEPER. Last year's roster was the thinnest for a good few years as they grappled with the salary cap and moving on from some season vets, especially on defense. That showed up in pre-season last year IMO. The Bills had a great pre-season record in prior years because their 2s and 3s were almost always better than most other 2s and 3s. Last year they lost heavily to the Bears, lost to the Panthers and eeked out an ugly win vs Pittsburgh in pre-season. Those games almost never tell you anything about your starters.... but they do give you a broad sense of your depth. Whether the roster is upgraded at the top end remains to be seen. I see some potential ways it could be.... but there are no slam dunks. The proof will be in the pudding.
  19. I agree with all this except I still think Keon is best suited as a big slot rather than as a Z receiver. I maintain if he ever ends up putting up really big numbers in the NFL it will be playing at least half of his snaps inside. I also think the fact he has the most upside of anyone on the current roster at X is a bit of an indictment on the Bills outside receiver options, but that has been done to death elsewhere.
  20. Whether he is our best X... possibly. I think Palmer is more of a natural Z. There probably isn't a ton between them. But the Bills are going to start Keon as their X receiver. No doubt about that for me. They are going to try and force it to work for at least one more season.
  21. On 1 it can be learned although there is definitely an instinctual element to it. Some guys just have that natural feel for leverage and pacing more than others. Agree on 2. On 3 and the whole point with that is it doesn't matter until it does. And when it does it matters a lot. Because when you need to win outside then you end up with a guy out there better suited to the slot.
  22. American family friends brought it over as a present. I didn't really know who he was other than an American Football player so stuck it up in the back of the closet. First game was Lions pre-season game 2002.
  23. I had a poster of Jim Kelly before Josh was born. But I had never watched a game (not just a Bills game, ANY NFL game). Don't know if that puts me in this category or not 😄
  24. This list, other than the concussions, actually makes me feel a little better about it. I don't see anything there that is a chronic issue. He needs a bit better luck but other than the head stuff there isn't an accident waiting to happen there and I'm sure the Bills plan is for him to play no more than about 55% of the snaps in any event. The concern to me is more whether the cumulative effect of these injuries has taken something away from his game when he IS on the field. At times it has looked like that to me. It's a swing on him staying healthy, sure, but the bigger swing IMO is on what's left.
