  1. I think it is beyond question at this point that Josh's personal life spilled out onto the field at the end of the 2022 season and into the early weeks of the 2023 season. He looked and played like a guy whose mind was cluttered and he sounded vacant in press conferences - who can forget his "same sh*t different day" reaction to his meltdown at the Jets week 1 of 2023? It is clear to me that his relationship with Hailee has been a stabilising and settling influence on him and he played in 2024 as focussed as I have ever seen him - it showed in the decision making. We have a tendency to think of football players as robots, unaffected the things that affect us mere mortals in our daily lives. Or to think that money buys happiness and therefore they have no right to be affected by personal / relationship concerns. Neither of those views are true or indeed fair.
  2. While it is definitely a crowded room I think he has a shot. All UDFAs face an uphill battle to make rosters but there is only Rapp and Bishop of all the safeties the Bills have that I think are roster LOCKS. There is a lot of traffic between Owens and one of those other spots and the odds are against him, but he has a chance.
  3. He isn't going to hold out or hold in. And even if he did Davis and Johnson are not going to be like for like replacements in terms of production. Yea it is just not true. His leg drive has improved enormously.
  4. Currently the Bills aren't paying either. They are paying the offensive line. Is an in season trade possible? Maybe. I just don't see a world where the Bills are in sell mode. If they want to add a receiver they will trade picks like last year IMO.
  5. He is not a boundary receiver. I do agree with you on Coleman though. Always have.
  6. No he isn't. Not even close. He has elite vision. He sees gaps that other backs, including Davis, miss.
  7. I don't know what he is drinking but it has sent him loopy if he thinks anyone other than James Cook is the Bills best back. There were definitely rumours that the Bills allowed his agent to explore trade options in the spring pre-draft. If there was a deal that made sense for us, another team and Cook it would have happened in that window. It didn't, and I don't think as such there is a trade that makes sense at this point. So he will play.
  8. Yea they don't have a QB. But if Dart had a Daniels esque year..... then it is possible. I don't forsee that. But if he did they will compete for the playoffs.
  9. I think some distinguish camp from offseason. Offseason = OTAs and mini camp. Training Camp = preseason. But I expect Cook to be at training camp. Whether it is day 1 or not, not sure. But he will be here.
  10. I think they did have a good draft. But I am not a huge Dart believer and ultimately QB will sink that team.
  11. The bolded is totally fair. The rankings aren't proof necessarily of the enjoyment of the journey itself. It's a pretty neat statistic for the Bills to have, but it isn't that the last 5 years have only been fun because they are 1st and 1st. It is the wins and the moments and the successes.
  12. I'm not sure he does. His body is broken. He has had a toe injury he has been dealing with for a number of years where one of his toes swells up like a balloon the day after games and he can hardly walk. He also has had the meniscus removed from one knee, has a chronic back issue and he played last season with a partially torn pec. Anyone who really follows the league (aside from the Bills) in any detail has known this was a possibility all offseason. It is not a surprise at all.
  13. He practiced yesterday
  14. And Dustin Hopkins.
  15. He was being held together by tape the past two seasons. This really isn't a big surprise.
  16. Ha - I don't think it is disproportionate. I made precisely one post on it. After that I just replied to people who wanted to tell me I'm wrong. I'm not.
  17. Walking and turning around? Needs practice? Come on Shaw. You're better than that. Total waste of time.
  18. I separate the dinners from the rehearsing walking and turning around. Which by any objective measure are a colossal waste of time
  19. I mean I don't own a car and I haven't worn a watch for years and years. Vacations and nice meals in restaurants however have a lot more worth than wedding rehearsals!
  20. You are entitled to do that. Spend your time as you wish. But you are in the minority. TV viewing numbers remain very strong. There was a very slight dip in 2024 from the record high in 2023 but well within the margin of normal variance.
  21. Good point. Although film schedules are generally slightly more flexible than the NFL calendar which is fixed.
  22. Yea I get the night before in law meal. That is logical. The rehearsal.... less so.
  23. My understanding from someone who works in the NFL's UK office is the initial push was him to the owners and there was some scepticism at first. I don't think that happens (at least not as early as it did) with AN Other commissioner. I think that is distinct from rule changes and streaming which kinda would happened a pace whoever was Commissioner.
  24. I think he will be there. They will honeymoon in the dead season between mini camp and camp I'd imagine. That said if he does miss one or two it isn't an issue in the slightest and I'd understand it.
