  1. This should have been our year. But every single bit of bad luck that could have gone against us did. The injuries in particular were brutal. This Arsenal team will win the Premier League in the next two years though. Too good not to.
  2. He has been a Bill 3 years, not 5. He was 21 when we drafted him. But it wasn't just the man vs zone thing. It was his transitions. I said it at the time and Brandon said it in the day 1 presser after the pick. I always thought it was an odd pick and I don't believe it was a "good bet."
  3. Yep. Saw the Kaiser Chiefs do that in a pub in Leeds when I was a student. 20 odd years ago. It flunked the first time they released it. But then they had a hit with one of their others... maybe Every Day I Love You Less and Less... and when they re-released I predict a riot it went big.
  4. Leeeedddss, Leeds are falling apart, again!
  5. Oh he can totally play the Z and run the WR screens, the slants and the quick hitches. The issue is you can't be a Z receiver only running those 3 routes. Whereas you can still run those routes from the slot and, as with your other routes, you will get a lot of free releases off the line. That aids Keon's route running because when he gets to dicatate his spacing he is better than when it is contested when he has the tendency to play to contact.
  6. Liverpool are the Packers. 100%. That is the easiest EPL - NFL comparison there is.
  7. Baker is similar to Goff IMO. People got an idea in their heads about him and no amount of proving it is shaking that perception for some
  8. Oh Vita Vea is over 30 too. Missed him. Yea it's a garbage list.
  9. Yea a lot of that list I disagree with tbh. Khalil Mack has been a better football player than Mike Evans for precisely zero days of their respective NFL careers. No place at all for Taylor Decker? Seriously? He is better than all but about 6 or 7 of those guys. Geno is on the list but Dak Prescott isn't? Come on man. No Jalen Ramsey in the top 30? Behave. It's an atrocious list. If what they mean is "the 30 players over 30 with the highest PFF grades in 2024" they should... you know.... say that! Oh and from a Bills perspective.... no Dion Dawkins??? Like there is a world where I could look at a list of 30, maybe, and not see Dion and understand it. But when Jake Matthews (who I like) and Grant Bolles (horribly overrated) both make it and Dion is better than both.... I can't understand it. Makes zero sense. I am generally a PFF defender and I subscribe to their advanced stats. But this is just horrible click bait designed to make fans foam at the mouth. It worked.
  10. And teams have just got so much more used to it. The last few have been dull. The Raiders in 2019 was the last interesting one and that was almost entirely because of AB's antics. The Bills don't have an Antonio Brown. Before that you are probably going back to the Bengals series and that is well over 10 years ago.
  11. I use the app and the youtube page. I very rarely visit the website.
  12. I look back with quite a lot of nostalgia now at the drought. An era when every regular season win felt like a massive achievement. Especially if we beat anyone half decent. Now the regular season games often feel very routine and I kinda miss that jeopardy. Having a great team with a superstar Quarterback is definitely better, don't get me wrong.
  13. And the answer was not Joe Brady. It is all on Keon.
  14. Why didn't Keon get open in college then if it's all Brady's fault?
  15. No your theory is McDermott is instructing Beane to pick him. Beane makes the picks. But the coaches are a part of their evaluation process, especially on round 1 guys in terms of how they fit and would/could be used. Beane has explained this many times.
  16. I think at this point he is so mentally scrambled I'd be surprised if he panned out in Dallas. I don't think coaching was the issue per se. But I always felt it was an odd pick for the scheme. And both personnel and coaching deserve criticism for that because there is no way Beane picked him without McDermott and Frazier (at the time) being confident they could use him. Had he gone to a better scheme fit out of the gate could his career have been different? Maybe. At this point tho I think he will just meakly flame out of the league.
  17. Depends what you mean by same class. If you mean they are not elite Quarterbacks, yes, we agree they are the same class. As for what that means in January.... Purdy has been to a Superbowl. Matt Ryan should have won one but for Kyle Shanahan's stupidity. Joe Flacco won one. The ghost of Peyton Manning won one when he literally couldn't throw. You need everything to go right to win with a guy like Goff. That is for sure. Whereas a Mahomes, or in theory an Allen or Jackson can make some magic happen even when some things have gone wrong. My main contention is good Quarterbacks are hard to find. Elite ones even harder. If you are lucky enough to find one as good as Jared Goff you should try and put pieces around him and hope for a few bounces your way.
  18. He is finished. I don't care where he signs. He doesn't move the needle.
  19. I think they are honestly pretty similar. I haven't focussed as much on Downs since he came into the league. I think he is a more natural route runner though. Ha you missed the thread here the other night then.
  20. Tier 1 is EXACTLY what I said the other day. Jefferson, Chase, Brown in some order.... then a BIG gap.
  21. The last few Hard Knocks have been singularly dull compared to the early years so I don't think the distraction is the same as it was in the years when this was novel. Teams are much more used to this kind of behind the scenes filming than they were. I'm excited for it personally.
  22. Only played 1 year. But was a Bill for 2.
  23. Yea Teller is the one. Scheme switch was critical there. Poona Ford is the only othere one I can think of who was good before. Meh here. Good after.
