  1. Not sure any corner would make me "happy" at #27.... but it is probably the position with the best high end talent options. Witherspoon Gonzalez Porter Smith Branch (though as a safety) Are all well worth #27 to me. Forbes Ringo Banks Phillips III Turner II Would all be bargains at our 2nd round pick. Few of the other guys I'd be happy in round 3.
  2. First - Kumerow isn't a slot receiver. Second - Beasley is washed. We saw he was washed when he was back at the end of last year.
  3. I think the two Bills opinions I have that are unpopular in terms of this forum as it has been recently would be: 1. Ed Oliver is one of our top defensive players. 2. Josh Allen didn't play well enough in the post season this past January.
  4. If it actually fell like that (with the trade back) I'd stay at #48 and pick Trenton Simpson without hesitation. Okay you might have some growing pains adjusting him to your MLB spot as a rookie but he would by my board be sticking out as BPA at that point. And I mean sticking out. I wouldn't have any of the other guys left (other than Clark Phillips) within 4 or 5 points of him on my board. So in terms of talent meeting need it would be a no brainer for me.
  5. Yea while I am higher on McGovern than you, Seumalo was the ideal guy for me. Best guard on the market. I actually like McGovern and Edwards, they are both good players (I think both are upgrades on our guard play last year) but I don't expect either to be in the conversation for a top 10 guard in the league whereas I think Seumalo could be.
  6. Yea not sure I love this. Has been great. Don't know there is much left.
  7. I like Scott, Martin, Brown and Henry at those spots. Don't like the first 2 picks at all.
  8. Neither are first rounders. Nor is he.
  9. Maybe. But I was higher on him coming out. And he has been behind two very good tackles. So I'm not willing to write it off as a possibility.
  10. In the first matchup we went right down the field on them too. Didn't punch it in. But in the second matchup we couldn't move the ball. Maybe they are just more talented. That is definitely a possibility and on offense it is a fact. But the Bills just played their worst game.
  11. I don't exclude that. Never have. But players play. The Bills lost that game primarily because they never showed up. They sucked. There was no energy, no desire, even Josh looked out of it. The players were a bigger problem than any gameplan. They played their worst game all season on the big stage.
  12. I'd take Addison ahead of him. I just think he is a better player. I agree the ceiling is there for Johnton, but he is a big risk. He reminds me very much of Breshad Perriman. I don't have any wide receivers in this class with 1st round grades. It is the worst receiver class probably since 2016.
  13. I don't know if you can take that from that game because while we might not be as good as Cincy we do deserve to be on the same field as them, and in the playoffs, we looked like we didn't. The Bills laid a complete egg. I get how gutting that is on a big stage, but they just sucked on the day.
  14. I have said elsewhere but I had a low 2 on him coming out based on him as a RT. I am surprised the Rams never tried him there but worth saying that they had Whit and one of the most consistent right tackles in the league in Havenstein, whereas they were weaker at guard.... Noteboom and Edwards ended up playing guard but how much of that was just them trying to get their best 5 on the field? I am still intrigued by the possibility of him competing outside as well, though I agree they have signed him primarily to play guard. Interesting thinking on Harrison. I was thinking he my well be their type.... they LOVE athletic tackles. But the once bitten twice shy out of Oklahoma thing is interesting to reflect on. Otherwise I agree entirely with your synopsis,
  15. He might "have" size, but he doesn't use it. He rarely plays above the rim, too many body catches, doesn't show great awareness to use his frame to box out defenders and struggles to release against press. The only time you ever actually see the benefit of his size on film is once the ball is in his hands. He is more poor man's Treylon Burks than he is a traditional X receiver. I see the argument for him, don't me wrong, there are some enticing physical gifts and he only just turns 22 before the season opener so there is plenty of room for growth, but he is miles from a finished product. Put it this way - if he was Jordan Addison's size he wouldn't be a lock to go in the first two days.
  16. I'm not the one making excuses for players who admit themselves that they ***** the bed.
  17. Ah you might be right.... in which case expunge my previous comment from the record
  18. Signing Bobby Wagner is not worth losing a 3rd round pick in next year's draft IMO. If he is still on the market when the dust settles in May, by all means go and sign him.
  19. Oliver was the 2nd DT taken. Behind Q. And he has not lived up to a top 10 pick but he is still a really good player. I actually think he is underrated by Bills fans because they are disappointed with the production.
  20. Yea. I agree with you. I think when you leave the rusher from the non-blind side (i.e. round right tackle) to Josh he can deal with that and find a way out so long as the middle holds. I'd love to have a wall infront of him, but in the absence of that I'd be content for RT to be my questionable spot.
  21. Veach as been the GM since 2017. That is long before they played the Buccs in the Superbowl
  22. Sure there might be a Stefon Diggs lurking in round 5 that is unheralded. But this is like that 2015 draft to me except there isn't an Amari Cooper level player here. There are lots of guys who are like the receivers taken after him. Between Amari and Stef the only guy who has even managed to be a good #2 is Tyler Lockett.
  23. 2022 was his worst year. He had concussion issues and didn't play up to his previous standard. Plus this has been one of the slowest FA periods I can remember. Feels a bit like a lot of teams shot their bolts last year and are having to be a little more circumspect.
