  1. I see this class VERY different to you. If they take Nolan "so I just run at the guy infront of me do I" Smith ahead of Jordan Addison I would be on my way to One Bills Drive to introduce Brandon Beane's backside to a large garden gnome!
  2. Haha I sent him the top 20 because Flowers is by my board the 20th BPA at this point (which shows you how little I like this class because I don't particularly love Flowers and yet there he is, 20th best remaining).
  3. Sure. I can send you my top 15 BPA by my board.
  4. I don't think he is going to suck. He can play in the league. But I don't think he is going to be really good. I just think the limitations are physical ones that he can't overcome.
  5. But this isn't just below 31.5". It is below 29.5". I agree with you about the receiver class generally. I disagree with you vehemently about Flowers. He is small, weak and will be no more than a slot or gimmick player at the next level IMO.
  6. I had two of my 6 "must pick" players left at #17. Jones was the first. Porter was the second. I personally actually have a higher grade on Porter than Jones but the point Pittsburgh's build is at I just think they have to protect Pickett above all else. I still wouldn't be shocked if Porter is the first corner to go. We saw this last year where Stingley had kinda been the name for so long but then Sauce was the sexier prospect who all the chatter was about but when it came down to it Stingley went first. Flowers is like my worst possible outcome for the Bills. The wind in our stadium might knock him over before a defender even gets near him. And I think it was @HappyDays who did the arm length comparison. Basically no receiver with arms that short has succeeded in almost forever. A guy that small with arms that short has no chance in press once a DB gets hands on him.
  7. Not heard from him in ages but I think he did pop in when the Damar thing went down so I am guessing he is well. Imagine life is just busy.
  8. It is about practicality and cost as much as anything else. America is such a big place and the college football season is so short. If you have 1 "running back" scout and he has to take a view on every draft eligible running back he will run out of time and cost you a lot of money. The layer of positional expertise is really added by the coaching atafd when they join the party in February, March and April.
  9. Scottish is still British. For now at least. Pending a second referendum. Although Ramsey has lived in London and the US so long now he doesn't sound at all Scottish.
  10. With the 17th pick of the 2023 Virgil Mock Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select: Broderick Jones, Offensive Tackle, from the National Champion Georgia Bulldogs. I went into this process with a list of six guys I would absolutely stand pat and select at #17. Jones was #2 on that list. We saw some promise in Kenny Pickett as a rookie but in order to evaluate him properly he needs protection and our tackle play in particular was brutal in 2022. Jones fits nicely in our scheme and lets us flip Dan Moore to the right side where he might be serviceable. Jones might be raw but the potential here is huge. @mannc and the knee biting Detroit Lions are now on the clock.
  11. Ha. No idea how you missed it. Yep, I'm British. Live in London. And have missed one Bills game since 2009.
  12. I just want them to hurry up... some of us have a bed to go to...
  13. I also think Dillard LT and Skoronski LG is the better combo of the two. But if they prefer someone like a Broderick Jones (he is schematically a very good fit) they should absolutely take him and shunt Dillard inside. But I think the Titans have to prioritise the OL if they possibly can.
  14. I can see taking Skoronski and then decide who plays where - Dillard LT and Skoronski LG or vice versa. Equally though Dillard's deal ia really a 2 year $8.5m AAV deal. That isn't a deal that precludes him from playing guard or RT.
  15. Yea I think I would have vetoed it personally but it's your show Virg. There is zero chance they trade him in division. I am not even sure they will trade him within the AFC. If the only bidders are AFC teams they are better playing it out and taking the 3rd round comp pick.
  16. Me too. He wouldn't be my pick. But I think if they are trading up he kind of makes sense as a skillset not available elsewhere. And while he wouldn't be my pick I understand why folks are high on the upside.
  17. I think they will take Johnson, Jones or a receiver. It won't be Bijan but I do see where @Alphadawg7 is going with it.
  18. Dillard has played guard too in his career. If they get a chance to take a tackle who can start for a decade they should not let Andre Dillard stop them IMO. I don't hate the Bijan pick BTW. I get the logic there. But offensive line is by far Tennessee's #1 need.
  19. I mean it kinda does. They start at the Senior Bowl, then the Combine, then texting and calling up to and including draft night. It is like any other business relationships matter.
  20. Not sure Hooker solves that problem though. Trade down, get ammunition for next year.
  21. Yep. That is pretty much how I see it. I have Addison, JSN, Johnston in that order as the 3 first round locks but I don't have any of them with a true 1st round grade. They all have strengths and weaknesses. It is going to come down to scheme and tastes.
  22. Yea he is the one that makes sense. He is the skillset that doesn't really exist again in the 2nd or 3rd round (even thought he is FAR from a perfect prospect). You can get lesser versions of Addison and JSN in rounds 2 and 3. And lesser version of the lineman (save for probably Paris Johnson). But if you want a size, speed, vertical threat outside receiver it is Johnston and that is it.
  23. First small shock of the draft I'd say? Not that Branch is particularly a reach here, he isn't. But that wasn't the direction I was expecting you to go in. Well played sir.
