  1. I wouldn't know. I wouldn't listen to Kyle Brandt's podcast if it was a choice between that and certain death.
  2. I understand why people are excited about his potential. Just not sure there has been enough recognition of the other side of the coin.
  3. Yea I think that is fair. But we don't *know* he is. Part of who Josh is as a leader he doesn't hang his guys out to dry in public.
  4. In part, sure. But some of his issues were the same. Didn't run routes and played smaller than his size. The two other ***** body vertical style 1st round receivers I remember having those concerns on are Brashad Perriman and Kevin White. I am not saying Johnston isn't a viable gamble, especially in this class, but he is treated on this board at times like a sure thing and he is essentially a spin of the roulette wheel.
  5. What sign do you have that Josh is unhappy? And while Diggs definitely is, a lot of his unhappiness is reported as a breakdown of his relationship with Josh. I think you are guilty of putting 2 and 2 together and making 5.
  6. I can see that. Kelce ain't getting any younger...
  7. With the 49th pick of Virgil's 2023 Mock Draft, the Pittsbugh Steelers select: Emmanuel Forbes, Cornerback, Mississippi State I actually can't believe he is still here. He is STICKING out by my board. The Steelers do need an upgrade on Levi Wallace at corner, but even if they didn't this is such a clear BPA by my board that I couldn't have passed him up. I think he will sneak into the backend of the 1st round on draft night. 14 interceptions in his college career, 6 returned for touchdowns. He still needs to fill out into his frame a little, but he plays aggressive for his size and his length and ball skills are high end. I have now selected three of the top 20 players on my board and addressed three of the Steelers' real positions of need. @NewEra and the LA Rams are now on the clock.
  8. I don't think this is a surprise. I have zero true 1sts. I have two borderline 1st/2nds - Addison and JSN. Dane Brugler's draft guide came out today. He is one of the best in the business. He had one true first - JSN. He then had four borderlines that were (in order) - Addison, Hyatt, Flowers, Johnston. On Johnston particularly I feel like I have been making this point for weeks. People understandably love the ceiling. But the floor is like Kevin White style bust.
  9. I'm back by my board now... I have nine second round grades and two 2nd/3rd borderline grades left. The positional breakdown is: 2 WR 1 IOL (and full disclosure it is Vorhees who has a huge injury asterisk, he won't play as a rookie) 1 DT 2 EDGE 1 LB 4 CB
  10. No surprise. Was a solid and reliable vet last year. We know he is a culture fit too.
  11. You'd be okay in London with an American accent asking for cider beer. They'd just think "tourist and you'd" get your drink. In Bristol (and anywhere west of there) they'd be much snootier about the difference between cider and beer.
  12. It depends. But #1 if you called it a "cider beer" you would get at best a funny look, at worst (in the West of England) a slap. We just call it "a cider" which is quite distinct from "a beer." The general rule in the UK otherwise is a draught cider is not served with ice unless you request it. But a bottled cider is served with ice unless you specify otherwise.
  13. I think Harrison could go earlier than he went here but where Alpha took him and the Jet picks right after are his floor IMO. Agree with you on the other three. Don't think Schmitz or Campbell go round 1 and it might be a tad early for Bergeron there. Simpson might not go as early as #32. But he should. Talent wise he is a top 20 player in this class without a shadow of a doubt
  14. I don't know what that means. British Summer Time here old chap.
  15. See I disagree on Chan's era. I don't disagree with your take on Stevie but those Chan teams were fun to me. It might be because my early Bills exposures were Malarkey and Jauron but I loved those Chan teams. They weren't very good, and I certainly wasn't guilty of overrating them as some did, but they were fun. The games were fun, the offense scored points, there were some amazing comebacks some other spectularly blown losses and a few absolute curb stompings where they looked completely incapable. But it was fun to me week to week. The games were watchable. Like I am a McDermott fan, and 2017 was incredible in the sense an undertalented team was coaxed and coached well enough to break the drought... but the game were not fun. They were a hard watch most weeks. I enjoyed the outcomes and the competitiveness but not the spectacle. It is possible to differentiate results from enjoyment IMO.
  16. I am drinking Bira Moretti right now. Bit of a bank holiday pub crawl with the other half. @Virgil - Doc must be close to his 4 hours, right?
  17. I haven't got my board infront of me atm... in the pub. But I think it looks quite different. Round 3 is my DT bulk for a start. I think I have fewer than 15 second round grades left.
  18. Yea I am on 133 players where I have watched enough to grade and put them on the board. Probably another 20 or 30 that I have an indicative grade on but haven't done enough work to have them on the board. The last two years I have ended up with 140ish boarded and I think there were 4 left as UDFAs among those last year. Averages about 6.
  19. Cos at the pace of the last 24 hours we would finish just in time for the 2024 Draft.
  20. Great pick. He is a top 20 player on my board. A very Packers pick too. No team in the NFL has spent more day 1 and 2 picks on defensive backs than Green Bay in the last 15 years.
  21. No. I think the LVE comparison is a good one. But he topped out as a rookie. He was in a good class and he was the most pro-ready to start day 1 but what you saw was the maximum that was there. Leonard and Warner drafted later but with higher upsides went past him by year 2. Okay there probably isn't a Leonard and a Warner in this class. 2018 was a very strong draft. But there are two higher upside guys there even just at linebacker (before you talk more premium positions) and both might still be on the board. If the Bills are only thinking about winning a Superbowl in 2023 then Jack Campbell at #27 makes sense. It is the same argument as "who is gonna make a bigger difference to our offense as a rookie than Bijan?" But long term I think there are potentially better uses of the selection, personally.
  22. At least Drew is kinda sexy. Not like that bosted late round receiver you tried to sell me on the other day. He looked like his mother used to discipline him by whacking him round his face with a snow shovel.
  23. Today has been slow going. Only got through 9 picks. Need to pick up the pace chaps.
