No because that isn't the way the NFL works. There is a lot of parity and it is a matchup league. You can't just look down a sheet of paper and give players a rating. It isn't Madden. That said, if the Bills win tonight there is definitely a route that opens up for them to make it, hosting 2 games.

Personally I'd have done what they did ladt year, traded out, stocked picks... because there were enough flashes from Fields as a playmaker. He makes out of structure plays at times that probably only Allen, Mahomes and Jackson can match.... but the in structure stuff isn't developing. The bread and butter QB skills are no further enhanced to my eye this year. So I think if I am content Williams checks out personality wise I'd pick him were I the GM and they will still get someone willing to trade for Fields and give them a day 2 pick back possibly.

Yea my edit does make the point I think his recent playoff record is a fair knock. But it is a fair knock on an otherwise excellent resume.

I think after Diggs the next 3 guys in terms of pass catchers I'd take would all be Ravens. I'd still take their line as well while ours is much improved. I'd take Cook over all their backs and Josh over Lamar. I would take Harbaugh over McDermott though in fairness. With Belichick about to be out on his ear I'd take John Harbaugh over every other coach in the league. Even Andy Reid. I think he is outstanding. To have his record over 16 years when he has never had a true elite Quarterback.... though they have had two good ones... is incredible. And he has rebuilt the team and re-calibrated their approach on both sides of the ball multiple times since he has been there. Unlike you there are very few coaches I'd swap Sean McDermott for. But John Harbaugh is one. If there is a knock on Harbaugh it is that since winning his Superbowl his playoff record leaves something to be desired. He is 2-5 since they won the Lombardi and I'd argue two of those losses to Tennessee and the Chargers were to inferior teams.

All depends if they can find a Quarterback doesn't it? Payton is one of those guys who can get serviceable play out of below average QBs - Bridgewater, Winston, late career Wilson, even arguably final season Brees. But to win he needs a QB. They don't have many assets to trade up for one. Maybe they take the 4th or 5th best guy in the class at #14 or wherever they pick. Maybe as rumoured they fancy Kirk Cousins. They are one of the more intriguing question mark teams for the offseason. But in the AFC if Payton is going to make the Broncos any sort of contender he will need to find an answer to that conundrum. Otherwise there was some good and some bad in his first year. But as an offensive playcaller he is second only to Andy Reid in his generation.

The best thing he did was pull the plug on Russ Wilson. That was a boil that needed lancing. And he didn't delay. He did in a bit of an ass like way... but that is Sean Payton for you. His conviction that Wilson was the problem not the solution was correct.
