That is why 3rd and 4th down you keep it in Josh's hands. Because even when he isn't playing great he can do that.

I don't think the fundamental scheme is doomed to fail. We have seen this scheme produce really good defenses. Sure they still didnt get it done in the playoffs. But it has been effective. And other teams are running it well. The way they are trying to run it at the moment and the way they are calling the game on that side is absolutely an issue. I don't think we have the D talent to be a top defense. But we do have talent to be better than this.

Agree he has to do something. I don't know if firing Babich and taking over himself or giving Neilsen the reigns will work.... but even though we don't have stellar defensive talent we have enough to be better than this. We are majorly underperforming.

The defensive coaching has sucked. The defensive play calling has sucked. The tackling by the defensive players has sucked.

Agree although Kellen Moore is a much better coach than him so it shouldn't be a huge shock.
