Game Thread: Green Bay at Dallas 4:30 PM ET on FOX

100% my view. Even if the decision failed, their process was right. That the decision looks like it might hit? Even better. -

Yea I wasn't big on Herbert. He just always looked mechanical not natural to me on film. I was obviously too low on him and too high on Tua. I think Love is legitimately in the conversation with Herbert for the second best guy in that class though unless this year turns out to be a total mirage. -

Nah that was a clear penalty. Defender was riding Lamb the whole way. -

Got lucky there. That has to go into the endzone. -

Yea it was never even about how good he ended up to me. It was about if you really think he can be (and Green Bay obviously did) you take him. I had him as QB3 that year. Below Tua but ahead of Herbert. -

Exactly the point. If you think he has this level talent and he is draftable for a small trade up (think they gave up a 4th) you have to look at what it might cost you to be in a position to get a guy you like this much most other years. The Bills should do the same IMO. Once Josh hits 35 QB in round 1 should be on the table every year if a guy they really like slips to them in their traditional late round 1 draft spot. -

Jordan Love is real folks. He is arguably the best QB in the NFC. -

I don't think it was gutsy. It was obviously correct IMO. I said then it was the right call irrespective of whether Love turned out to be good. Green Bay as an organisation has demonstrated it understands the value of Quarterback. -

Paging the people who argued until they were blue in the face with @Mr. WEO and I that drafting Jordan Love was stupid. When you have an old QB and a guy you genuinely think has it slips to you at the end of the first..... you do not pass because your old guy might have a year or two left. You pick him. -

Yea he should have done. But the big mistake was earlier in the down. That is the one that would concern me. -

The problem wasn't so much the sack it was bailing too early on the play he had designed to the left. -

Because they don't wait until the guy isn't any longer the guy. They are proactive. -

The big name QBs have always got favourable treatment on RTP. -
And I just remind people who point out the Bills losses to "inferior" Jets and Patriots teams that in all the years of Brady and Belichick dominance the Pats went 6-0 in the AFC East (which for the most part was a weaker division then) just twice. But it was still "their" division. The way the odd divisional loss doesn't stop it being the Bills' division. Oh and we are already went 6-0 once in our 4 years of division wins back in 2020.

Daboll having tension with a coach in NY too
GunnerBill replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Meh I kinda think they were a 4 or 5 win roster. I agree they weren't really good in 2022 though. I wasn't trying to imply that they were. I think they have been basically a kinda 5 win team for a few years. And their record supports that. With last year being the exception. And it was an exception. They got a few breaks early doors, bit of new coach bounce, but they weren't ever a true 9 win team.
