  1. Sternberger is a goner. Don't think Quess will be cut. I think he is making the team. Poona Ford will be cut. He has been next to worthless in the pre-season games. The OP is saying he is a candidate for the cut, wait in the car park, re-sign trick. I don't think Dane is going to start. I think Benford is. Looks to me like he has come out of that 3 man competition as the winner despite probably starting it in 3rd spot.
  2. Nah I think that play is on Torrence. He loses the inside instantly on the snap. Even if he is expecting help you don't let that pass rusher get inside leverage off the first step. Morse just gets bull rushed and can't hold up although I agree on that doesn't quite look like Edwards and Morse were in the same mind as to the assignment. But Morse's head never looks right so I don't think he was supposed to help Torrence. More likely he and Edwards were supposed to have some sort of combo going on, it ends up a 1v1 for Morse and he gets beat. Thought that was the only really breakdown by the first unit on their one drive. For the OP it basically went: 1st drive (left to right): Dawkins Edwards Morse Torrence Brown 2nd drive (l to r): Dawkins Edwards Bates Torrence Brown 3rd drive (l to r): Quessenbery Boettger Bates Torrence Brown And the the 4th drive they pulled Torrence and Brown with Kevin Jarvis (who knew he was a thing) going in at right guard and Alec Anderson at right tackle. Anderson got blown up a couple of times and they made the change to Van Demark at RT who started well but had a couple of breakdowns late on. Couple of things I noticed..... Brown was solid while the first team was out there but gave up a pressure on his final drive (final play) when a Bear edge rusher flew round the outside on 3rd down and Kyle Allen, about to get sacked, did one of his chuck up a lateral numbers... luckily Isabella caught it but for no gain. It was comfortably Ike Boettger's best outing in pre-season. Playing as the second left guard through in the rotation behind Edwards I thought he had a much better night. Didn't think Ryan Bates had his best peformance and it's been an odd pre-season for him. Lost his starting guard job to the rookie Torrence and then even when McGovern goes down isn't the next man up at guard. He has been a steady 2nd team center but last night he gave up a pressure on Allen and was responsible for a batted ball just before the interception where he disengaged his guy too early.
  3. Shorter probably sticks as the 6th guy but both as a receiver and a gunner he has hurt himself today.
  4. For the "cut Reggie Gilliam, anyone can play special teams....." crowd That is two weeks in a row backups in HIS position in punt protection have allowed blocks.
  5. Yea we are 4 deep at nickel. Don't think any of them would embarrass themselves in a game.
  6. Yea I get that. I have always been a Latavius Murray fan but I am also biased against older players and especially older running backs. It is a young man's position in a young man's game. I don't hate the decision to keep him. But I don't think it is a crazy take to think it is kind of a conservative way to go. Think Ingram has had a solid pre-season. Not sure there is a route to the roster for him but definite PS guy.
  7. Cook pass protected well today. Harris isna good pass pro back. I know they WILL keep Murray. I don't think it is a bad take to ask if they really NEED to.
  8. True but that is a rotational position. The whole point of the Bills staying in nickel the whole time is they can play run or pass with two do it all backers. If their LB packages show their hand it negates one of the strengths of the scheme.
  9. I don't think it is an awful take. Murray doesn't suck, that bit is an overstatement, but when the Bills younger backs have shown well I am not convinced they need an older vet like Murray on the roster. He definitely will be, we know this staff loves an older vet especially one who can pass protect.
  10. Hmm. Well coughing up a return today defeinitely hasn't helped his case. I don't think Harty has been stand out at all in pre-season. But I do think he is making the team. As their main returner if nothing else. His usage on O will be interesting to track.
  11. Who knew the Bears was one of the NFL's "Premier Franchises." Maybe in the 1940s.
  12. From a Bills perspective he has never played in a scheme like ours. Has always been in a 3-4 base style.
  13. Did we try hard to sign Tranquil? The Bears announcer just said so.
  14. Odd that he was 3rd guy in at RT though and go no run at LT. I agree with you based on what we have seen but odd way to play him today if they do think he has the swing job won.
  15. Will Grier is horrible. Not seen much Cooper Rush.
  16. He isn't good. He really isn't. If his first read isn't there immediately it's trouble.
  17. I really liked Ojemudia coming out. Slightly surprised he hasn't had a better career.
  18. Interesting that Ty got the first series of 2nd half ahead of Evans and Mims too.
  19. I was just thinking bet he was an Offensive Tackle haha.
