NY Radio Host doesn’t hold back on Evan Neal
GunnerBill replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
And Robinson is only okay. He isn't a top level tackle. Bradley Bozeman has been a pretty successful IOL for a 6th round pick. Ryan Kelly is the last stud. Colts center - 3x Pro Bowl; 1x 2nd team all pro -
Eeek. That is a hell of a journey in one day to then get back to Gatwick for 7pm and be ready for your flight. Where are you starting from? You can hire a car....

Miami OL Liam Eichenberg's burner account almost certainly found
GunnerBill replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea. I think he is a right tackle who in a pinch can play left. But then they have a lefty at QB which complicates things a bit. He definitely isn't an interior guy though. Doesn't have the bulk and guys can, and do, get under his pad level too easily. He doesn't have the right physical profile to be good inside. -

In his defense he is not a center. -
The train to Paris goes from St Pancras station....... I know they are a single stop on the tube but they are two DIFFERENT mainline stations!

Now let's remember who said this guy wasn't a first round talent when he was being universally lauded as a top 5 pick...... -

Ja’Mar Chase: “I’m open. I’m always ****ing open”
GunnerBill replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Me too. I'd have picked Sewell. I can't say they were wrong to pick Chase because he was an elite prospect as well and has been amazing for them. But rule one when you have a franchise QB is protect them. If they lose this Sunday they surely accept it is over and allow Joe to rest. -
Play nice. He has spent a long time thinking this up.

I was a regular on a soccer podcast over here in the UK for a few years. The guy who ran it worked sooo hard on it. We both had a few contacts with respected journos and with some respected fan blogs etc. We had good guests. And we grew pretty quick to about 800 weekly listeners within 3 months. But then we just never got beyond that point. We got a sponsor at one point for a year, but by the time that expired they had concluded we weren't going to break through the mainstream and pulled their relatively small sponsorship and they turned out to be correct. We had 3 good years and then year 4 the listnership began to drop and ultimately we wound it up.

They have played really well. Even week 1 against the Jets the problem was definitively NOT the offensive line. Dion is playing his best football in 2 or 3 years, the two guards are significant upgrades on the turnstile and career backup they replaced, Mitch Morse is who he is, and Spencer Brown is more like rookie Spencer Brown where he has some pass pro wobbles but is dominating in the run game than the complete mess he was in 2022.

It might. I would have drafted Christian Watson in 2022 where we took Elam personally. I know he has had issues staying healthy so that doesn't look like it would have been a slam dunk but he has been dangerous when on the field. In 2023 they ended up without a seat when the music stopped in the first round. After that it wasn't a great class and the opportunity never presented.

I think there is more outside depth than last year. 2023 was the draft of the slot receiver. Flowers has split his time so far inside and slot, JSN has been almost exclusively slot and Addison while mainly outside has done some slot too. I think this will be a better class up top for teams wanting true outside type receivers.

Total 167 snaps on offense Alignment Backfield 1 Inline 51 Slot 79 Wide 36 Usage Running routes 112 Pass block 1 Run block 54 I don't have the game by game breakdown but he was asked to chip and block a LOT in the Washington game. Otherwise he has been mainly split out running routes.

Higgins wasn't a top 10 pick. He was pick #33. Day 2, pick 1. Davis is the best receiver Beane has selected. He is also the earliest receiver Beane has selected. Never picked one on day 1 or 2. Otherwise.... I actually agree with a lot of what you have said in this thread. People are looking for the perfect #2 and Davis isn't it, but he is a decent #2 level receiver who in terms of touchdown production out produces a lot of his peers. The idea that is simple, or straightforward, to upgrade him is for the birds. It would certainly be expensive to use FA to do so. All that being said, given Diggs is coming up towards 30 I'd definitely be open to letting Davis walk and spending a 1st round pick on a receiver who will be cheap while Diggs's hit is still on the books and then hopefully can grow into the #1 role by year 3. I still believe had Jordan Addison made it to the Bills last year they'd have taken him, even over and above Kincaid. Everything I heard suggested they loved that kid. And therein lies the issue - when you are picking in the mid to late 20s (or even early 30s 🙏) - you need a guy who is capable of growing into a #1 level receiver to be there. Even in last year's class which wasn't the strongest WR draft ever the 4 guys who most felt could be first round types - Addison, JSN, Flowers and Johnston - all came off the board together in a run in the early 20s.

Ja’Mar Chase: “I’m open. I’m always ****ing open”
GunnerBill replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
The second half of the season the Bills didn't play their best football. But they didn't play any football against Cincy in the playoff. And even if people want to compare it to the regular season game where the defense struggled on the drive and a half we saw, the offense went right down the field on them and just couldn't punch it in. In the playoff game the Bills put in their very worst performance. It sucks but that is what happened. They were just flat. -

They made that Superbowl a bit by luck to be honest. Mahomes sucked in the second half of the AFCCG. Yes Cincy did some good things on defense but Mahomes played poorly. Just as well for our 4 in a row record or else KC would already have equalled it. The Bills didn't show up in that playoff game. Nobody should take anything at all from that game other than the Bills completely laid an egg. -

Yep. Their offensive line has been woeful for years. In 2021 I think they had the wordt offensive line I have ever seen make a Superbowl. And in the end it was that line that cost them the game. -

Fair to see if they latch onto the Chase drama. But I think the media is already kinda killing Burrow. The only caveat is everyone is saying if he is not healthy he should sit and because there is still this cloud over his health status it is hard to know how much that has played a part. -
Bills lose Eli Ankou to Falcons, signed off Bills PS
GunnerBill replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills are not cutting Jonathan IMO. I think they really like his upside and have a pretty stong belief he wouldn't make it through waivers. I think this is the Bills' belief too. It happened last year with the Bears and he has some actual live snaps in games since then. -

I think there definitely isn't a culture of the bright white smile in the same way there is in the US. In my personal case the bottom ones were smashed to bits by too many elbows in the face in my soccer career.
