  1. Chelsea are terrible that's why. Northampton Town is a team. But they won't be sniffing the Premier League any time.
  2. Don't love it. DQ has been great for us but he is old and coming off an injury. Hopefully there is a cheap out after 1 of those 2 years. What bringing he and AJE back does do is make sure we are not desperate at DL going into the draft.
  3. Good on my gut Bryce Huff getting 3 years $51m from the Eagles. I loved him coming out. Travesty he ended up an UDFA. He has proved himself at every turn. Wish him the best.
  4. Yea, I get that. But they are thin for special teams. I know some people just dismiss that. I don't personally and I know the Bills don't. I just think the terms of this deal as reported has almost no impact on their ability to build the top of their roster.
  5. Atlanta needed a Quarterback. No idea what the Vikings plan is now.
  6. This is about special teams is the answer. Now I am not about to tell you Cam is a great teams player in the way I did defending Taiwan Jones in the era when his roster presence wound some people up. However, with Matakevich and Neal gone the fact they brought Lewis back doesn't surprise me. He did actually play pretty well on defense last year when he got his chances too. I am less bothered about this deal than I am the Taylor Rapp one but I agree it is a strange one to prioritise day 1.
  7. That is your Siran Neal replacement at a cheaper cost basically.
  8. Yep. He was always gonna get around $14m IMO and a couple of the top guys staying put has bumped him into the $16m plus range.
  9. No. I'd let someone trade up and take him.
  10. I did say that the tag decision was an odd one unless it was tag and trade.
  11. I don't think Aiyuk is elite either. It isn't about numbers for me so much as it is about film. He is just a tick below an elite level talent. He doesn't dominate corners in that same way. On the other two - Thuney 100% is elite. And so is McDuffie (but with the caveat that he is an elite slot corner. He is not a proven elite boundary corner).
  12. Yes. 2020-2022. He was never the best receiver in the NFL but he was for a period absolutely the best route runner in the league and a sure fire top 5 guy overall. He wasn't that guy for much of last year. Working out how and why is the task the team has.
  13. No. And it has been the case multiple years.
  14. Terrific player. Great career. Good luck in retirement.
  15. I'd deduct Murray but accept the other five.
  16. He might be a top 5 QB in the NFC though....
  17. But they would still have to demonstrate that it is actually having a discriminatory effect. And I am not sure how they could. It is not, at the moment, damaging white coaches. It is damaging teams with white coaches and a team is not a legal person so can't be discriminated against on the basis of race. I don't rule out you could get to that point in due course if you have evidence of teams systematically seeking to "game the system" by promoting less experienced and prima facie less suitable black candidates into those pipeline positions I mentioned earlier of more qualified / suitable white counter parts. Of course the Flores law suit alleged that is essentially what happens now with white candidates preferred but that is a very hard fight to win. One person's over promoted newbie is another person's young high flier. Demeco Ryans was promoted quickly. Nobody is arguing he wasn't deserving.
  18. Obviously he got hurt late in the yesr but before that he was still an elite 1T and one of the best run defenders up front in the entire league
  19. Yea you would need someone actually discriminated against to have standing to challenge it.
  20. In order to prove that the picks for minority hires policy (which I dislike because it is a gimmick not an actual way of addressing the problem it is supposed to be helping fix) equates to an employer discriminating on the basis of race you would likely have to show that there are employees being discriminated. To get there I think you'd have to get to a point where white coaches and execs can argue that they are not getting hired into those 2nd tier positions - OC, DC, Assit. GM, Director of Player Personnel - because teams are specifically hiring minorities into those jobs in the hope of earning a draft pick or two. At the moment I don't think that argument is made. One would assume if we ever got close to the point where it were the NFL would abandon its scheme because it would have served its purpose. Proving that a team is disadvantaged (by having fewer draft picks) isn't enough. A team isn't a legal person and can't be held to possess personal characteristics such as race or ethnicity.
  21. I am not getting into whether the formula is right or wrong. But it is what it is.
  22. I think the drop of was a mix of defenses keying in, him being banged up and losing maybe half a step and Josh missed him on two of three deep balls where he was wide open. Hit a couple of those it makes a big difference to the numbers.
  23. Yes a full round. There are no half rounds. Keep thinking it is a conspiracy though if it helps you feel better.
