The draft is never about one thing. It isn't that easy. But overall I think they have gone for low hanging fruit to fill needs.

The Dolphins know EXACTLY who they are on offense. Malik makes a ton of sense there.

I don't know I wasn't a big fan of the Carter pick. I thought it was a round early for him. I haven't loved this draft. I think they have been too focussed on filling needs.

He was pretty good his rookie year and year 3. He had a bad second season - but the Bills played him at 1T a lot that year after Star opted out because the other DTs were a disaster against the run

He is undersized, for sure, but he has length because of his freakishly long arms for his frame in addition to an explosive first step and proper pass rush moves. Love his rip and his spin. If he was 6'4 and 265lbs he'd be a first round pick. I don't know if you can put him out there in base defense on early downs but you can carve a niche for him as a pass down specialist.

That's not true. He did nothing this past KC game, I agree. 13 seconds he was the best defender the Bills had on the field he was excellent that night. I agree he isn't quite elite. But his post season production in his first 10 career playoff games is better than Chris Jones was his first 10....

No. Ed is close to elite. He has been fantastic the last two years. The numbers didn't pop in 2022 but when he was healthy he was dominating games and he did in 2023 too.

I agree. Very few out and out busts. Lots of guys who can play in the league. Lots of good. Not enough great.

Ed Oliver isn't elite. He is close but he isn't there. He is the second best player Beane has drafted though.
