He definitely started shaky and was a bit frenetic first half but Josh played a good game. We might have need a great game to win but that is because of failings elsewhere. Josh did not choke.

They were dreadful first half yes. The played a better 2nd half. The gameplan was wrong first half. Way too much man coverage. We might have the horses to do that against Bateman and the tight ends of Baltimore but we don't to go against the speed of Hollywood, Worthy and Pacheco - especially once Benford went out but tbh I think even before. Second half we went back to our defense, played much more zone and were better. But I am not arguing the D was good. It was bad. Especially first half. I didn't expect it to be good. Defenses that finish 3rd or 4th worst on 3rd down in the NFL are not good defenses. What I am saying is even with the D being basically a bit worse than you might have expected they still gave the Bills a chance to win the game at the end which has happened two years in a row. And neither time have we got it done. So you have to look at both elements of it.

And Milano. He was a factor on both drives we stopper them. And Hollins who had our two big plays. And while Josh wasn't his best today he definitely still played a good game. I don't think it is fair to say because he wasn't perfection the loss is any way on him. Agree. They got too cute first half with the gamplan on both sides. Not enough Cook on offense and too much man coverage on defense.

The defense wasn't good. It hasn't been good all year this year. That said they did hold the Chiefs to 3 despite a facemask penalty on that final drive and for the second year in a row the offense had to ball at the end with a chance to win the game against the Chiefs and couldn't get it done. Some of that is execution but it is largely a factor of not having a true downfield wide receiver who can threaten vertically. Last year we are asking Shakir to do that job this year it was Kincaid. We need an outside receiver who can win vertically badly. We did at the end of last season and we did not fix it. When have I blamed Josh Allen? I do think Brandon Beane deserves more blame than coaching. 100%. He has blown 3 first picks in a row and all those decisons were major factors in the defeat tonight.

I'm not drafting two in this class. No way. That would be throwing good money after bad. Last year was the class to double dip in.

At what point do we start blaming Beane ?

Right now. I can't believe the coaches are getting more heat than him. That is wrong IMO. -
And Milano. He was our best defender today. By far.
-
Yea that slant is the best play we have for him. Agreed.

I thought you meant the Buccs. Who did beat them with Dline in that Superbowl with both KC tackles out. The Bengals most definitely did not beat them with Dline. They beat them with flood underneath coverage.

I will say this.... unfortunately this is not the draft to need a receiver. I did some work on the receiver class this past week. I have one first round grade and three second round grades. Then a handful (4 or 5) 3rd round grades. The weakest receiver class in a fair few years. The Bills might have to get creative with a vet.

Yep. He is a big slot. His best asset is his power and agility with ball in hand.

Joe Brady and Aaron Kromer had a rough night

Yep. The call was NOT the problem on that final play. It was execution. Execution. And more execution. -
Unless he basically rips his technique apart and rebuilds himself he is what he is. If the Bills want to maximise him...... big slot. That's where it's at.
-
I'd honestly consider trading Kincaid away if I could get a 3rd round pick for him. Not sold he is a great fit in our offense and he isn't a difference maker.
-
Coleman was a bad pick. He does not separate.

Is there a better GM available? One that doesnt blow his first pick three years running? If so can we hire him?

The chatter around the Worthy trade isn't rational

Oh Torrence was like a spinning top. Suh was on the UK TV coverage and was just laughing at him during the analysis. If he gets a PFF grade above 30 for that performance it will be out of kindness and nothing else. -
The General Manager deserves WAY more heat than the Head Coach after this loss. I do think Reid and Spags won the coaching battle, but not by a ton. The Bills made good half time adjustments and worked their way back into the game. Where the big differences lie is they didn't have a liability at corner (they did in the regular season game but he was a day 3 pick not a 1st rounder) and their guy came down with a heave ball in the first half ours didn't at the end. Oh and that guy that did? We gave him to them. In order to take a player who made no impact again because as I told you all at the time - he is a non-separator. I am going to bed angry tonight. But angry at Brandon Beane. He should own this loss when he gets infront of a mic tomorrow. It's largely on him.

Yep. Bishop was way out of his depth. Couple of nice tackle in the run game but the people who think he is a genuine option at frer safety next year need their heads examining. He is clueless in coverage. Totally clueless. The 2022 draft he bailed the Elam pick out by hitting on 4 guys - Cook, Bernard, Shakir and Benford. The 2023 and 2024 classes? Yet to see any bail out. Kincaid, Cybo, Dorian Williams (to blame on the big STs return btw), a receiver who is now a tight end on the Raiders practice squad.... and as you say Coleman, Bishop, Carter.... not a good look. -

Brandon Beane should be on the hot seat. Elam Kincaid Coleman > Worthy They were three very big reasons we lost this game.
