  1. That isn't what he meant. He meant he hadn't want to call out general "naysayers" just specifically people arguing for Payton over McDermott. And there are examples of them in that thread. There were people specifically calling for Sean Payton, not tons, but some.
  2. I don't think you need to argue it. It is just a stone cold fact. And I am a huge fan of him as a playcaller. Second only to Andy Reid in his generation IMO. But not only did he have an undoubted elite, first ballot HOF QB he had some talented rosters around him too other than a couple of years in the middle of that period when they took a step back and had a mini-reload. But he had a three year spell there in late Brees (2017-19) where they were elite at QB, elite at WR1 (Thomas), elite at RB (Kamara), elite at LT (Armstead) and then maybe just a tick below elite at edge rusher (Cam Jordan) and CB1 (Marshon Lattimore) and couldn't get it done. They lost twice of those years to the Vikings in the playoffs, Quarterbacked by Case Keenum and Kirk Cousins respectively. When Sean McDermott wastes playoff opportunities that good we can have a conversation about Sean Payton replacing him.
  3. Yea the Jets are clearly a good defense. I think they are a bit better in Josh's head than they were on the field on Monday. But they are talented and they have two elite players in Q and Sauce.
  4. Good to see every fanbase responds to its Quarterback playing poorly by asking for the coach to be fired.
  5. I don't think accuracy was the problem at the Jets. It was all mental. Decision making. Not just when to go deep and what to go short but also when to trust the protection, when to bail the pocket, when to run.
  6. Yep. Exactly this. Pre-snap, still concerned. Post-snap pleasantly surprised.
  7. Best Josh has played in ages. OL has definitely been improved through two weeks. And Kincaid and Cook are additions to this offensive weaponary. I felt there was a lot of good on the offensive side week 1 too.... Josh just played poorly. But with the real Josh back the sky is the limit for this offense.
  8. I have two concerns on defense two weeks in: 1. Alignment. The Touchdown given up was yet another play where we looked misaligned. That os 4 or 5 through 2 weeks and in big spots. Gotta fix that. Hoping it is a time on task thing for Bernard but I wonder if temporarily asking Hyde or Poyer to help would be smart (there is precendent in 2019 on offense when Morse was heavily assisting Josh in calling protections). 2. The safeties do look slow. Shouldn't be a shock given their age and coming off the injuries they have had but both Hyde and Poyer do look like they have lost a step. I'm hoping that they are still knocking a bit of rust off and both have still made some plays when up in the box but I think our secondary may be weaker than we have been used to. In terms of the first drive yesterday I was never panicked. Josh McDaniels is a good play caller and play designer, they ran their script effectively and efficiently and featured Adams a ton. They were never going to be able to construct an effective plan for the entire game only going to Adams. And once they got past the first 15 the Bills defense won the battle.
  9. I mind it less for edge rushers. But they did let Von tick above their average last year and now they are doing the same inside with Ed.
  10. No DT is gonna play 100% but he needs to be around 70-75%. He was last week and it felt like he was agaim this week.
  11. You know what is helping Ed? They are playing him more. I think it is helping him find his groove. Not every player gets better with rest. Some need that feel.
  12. It looks like we finally hit on some offensive draft picks in Cook, Kincaid and Torrence. If all 3 of those can build on their starts to the season in the next few games it is going to make such a difference to this football team.
  13. I think he had one start last year too but I take the point.
  14. The touchdown still came a play where we were not lined up. But post snap Bernard has been decent enough through two games. And that is all we needed. Hoping the alignment issues are just lack of time on task from the time he missed in pre-season.
  15. 2014 we didn't have much running game. We were Kyle Orton dependent. But agree generally we had decent rushing attacks.
  16. I alwaya try and watch the all22 if I get time. Depends how the week goes work wise.
  17. Yea there are, it is not a great product. You need one of the US based guys For how to access it over there. @Beck Water might be able to help.
  18. I don't know how you get it in the US. DAZN loaded the week all22 on Wednesday morning.
