For all his heft Phillips ended up 3 yards deep in his own endzone.
We don't have the pieces to match up with their offense. When we show them a light box, they run it right at us. As soon as we bring a safety into the box they expose the secondary.
This game will come down to the offense.
Yea I think there is enough there to say "hmmm, teams will want to probe him on that" but enough for fans to judge he is bad news? Not for me. There were more red flags with Kyler Murray and a team still took a gamble at #1 based on the talent.
I haven't really crunched into the tape on any of them but based just on watching the games I think I'd be inclined to trade up for Caleb (subject to me being happy with his character which is the stuff only the teams who speak to him can ever know). But the reality is he will go #1 and I suspect whoever "earns" that pick will keep it.
My instinct is the same as yours on the other two.
