  1. I like Javon a fair bit. I'm higher than the consensus on him too. But I wouldn't take him above Legette. Not. A. Chance.
  2. It's a good draft class in the top 100. Not at all positions, sure, but that's the case in every draft. Overall this is a good class at the top. 100/120 I'd say. Below that yea.... I think it drops off pretty fast. Chances of many starters from rounds 5 though 7 is even slimmer than usual.
  3. I think he is a zone corner and will be a good one. I would not move him to safety personally. As for the wary of hybrids..... Kyle Dugger, Kyle Hamilton, Tyran Mathieu - all hybrids in college who have been good to excellent in the NFL.
  4. Legette and I wouldn't take more than a nano second to make that decision.
  5. Early 20s. Its his MO.
  6. Yea I have been mocking them OT or DL all the way through. But that Wiggins thing is really interesting. It makes a lot of sense. And value wise he is outstanding at #31.
  7. Two corner links I have heard in the last couple of days on podcasts that when I've done some cross checking seem to check out: Kool-Aid is getting a lot of looks by Jacksonville and Nate Wiggins and the 49ers. Told that John Lynch has loved Wiggins since the start but thought until recently he had no chance to still be there. If he gets in range don't be shocked if the 9ers even trade up slightly for him.
  8. My final mock is only a 1 rounder. If I did into round 2 Kneeland would be a fringe 2nd round guy..... he could go late two or he will go early 3. Mocking and grading are different. As @Alphadawg7 says he is going to get pushed up by a weak edge class - especially for guys to play as a 4-3 end.
  9. If they do wait for 13 years of ineptitude and then hiring him back. #Pegulaball.
  10. This is definitely true and the Bills luck has got gradually worse on that score the past 3 seasons. They need to hope they have better luck on the injury front this year, because they start a little thinner than in the past IMO.
  11. I think he is a 5th round prospect. I would break my tv if the Bills draft him anywhere. But as much as I don't want it to happen I fear it is very much in play. He is their type, they have had him in the building.... but it would be a wasted pick. I think he is "worried" but I think he knows he doesn't have many options for addressing it. They are going to have to reach on a guy in this class, hit gold in late FA (a bit like last year I suppose) or ride with what they have.
  12. Wilson, three years into his NFL career has gone from #2 pick to 7th round value. If the Bears had traded Trubisky three years after being the #2 pick they'd have got a better return, without doubt. Wilson has talent. He can't run an offense. Mentally he has no idea what he is doing. Trubisky isn't super talented but you don't put up the numbers he has without understanding NFL offense. I wouldn't want either as my starter either. But Mitch Trubisky is fine as a backup. And he is a considerable upgrade on what the Bills had last year.
  13. They are not allowed by league rule to observe their players working out 6 weeks ago. I think they and their doctors have spoken to Von and believe there is a chance he can get back. But it isn't based on any full physical assessment they have carried out. Because between locker clean out day and the start of phase 1 they are not allowed to do that. My theory is he is washed. I don't think Beane agrees but I think that is based on a hope and an optimism rather than anything more substantial than that.
  14. So what do you think he will do? Beyond your "he has seen Von in practice and is happy" which as I say cannot be true because they are one week into phase 1 of the offseason, what is your theory?
  15. I think Groot will start left end and Von and AJE will end us time sharing RE. That is less than ideal. I agree. But there is no obvious route to improve unless they strike lucky on a dust settles guy in June or July willing to take a 1 year prove it deal.
  16. Kyle choking in a Superbowl? Plus ça change.
  17. This is ludicrous.
  18. Well that is what they are doing. They can't be basing it off anything else other than educated guesses by the medics. At most they have seen 1 week of stretching where no football moves are allowed. They can't be basing decisions on that.
  19. The Dolphins are overrated again. They lost 2/3s of their starting defense, the DC who was supposed to improve them and pieces on their offensive line. They are not a top 10 team. They will be at best at a 1 and done playoff team again. Other than that I don't find anyone ranked above the Bills to be ridiculous. I think the Eagles are too high but both they and the Bills are "good" teams whose window is less open than in previous seasons IMO. I'd have them ranked 8 and 9 wouldn't quibble which way round you put them.
  20. AJE will out sack Von this year. I am absolutely certain of that. What have they seen of Von yet? Basically nothing. A few days of stretching. They are gambling on Von being back. I understand why. They don't have free agency dollars and beyond the top 3 (or 4 depending how you feel about Chop) its a weak draft at that spot. Von rebounding is their best hope. But its a wing and a prayer IMO.
  21. I don't think they have a shot to get a starting edge this year in the draft unless one of the top 3 and maybe Chop falls in round 1. My three round 2 grades are all 3-4 OLBs. I wouldn't force it. If I have to live with a timeshare of a washed Von and AJE for a year then so be it. You can't make someone the answer just by overdrafting them.
  22. It is a long developed history going back to Carolina though that they like long arms. Again Beane's drafting preferences are very Carolina. 34 inch plus arms are definitely a preferred trait for their edge guys. Not saying they just pick guys on arm length but it IS a singificant factor in the edge guys they like IMO. I really hope they don't draft Kneeland. I didn't like the Basham pick and I'd like this even less. But I do think they likely think he is an option at #60.
  23. I don't see any pass rush ability at all. I have no idea how he rushes the passer at the next level. He isn't a bull rusher. He doesn't have elite get off. He doesn't have elite bend. He doesn't have great hand usage. If he hits I'll hold my hands up but he is like a worse version of Boogie Basham (who DJ had #54 in 2021) IMO.
  24. Yea I think Von is done.
  25. Yea Will McClay there is excellent. He is the GM in all but name
