  1. What is interesting about Josh through 4 weeks is he has been better at home rather than on the road. I feel like to this point in his Bills career it has often been the other way around. He was flawless yesterday. I am glad he got a perfect passer rating because I thought his decision making was perfect yesterday. He played Quarterback literally perfectly.
  2. I'm not sure Ridley is a "true" #1. He more like a 1B / very high end #2 in my mind. I think a true #1 remains a need on that team.
  3. I don't think one equalises the other. I also think the Bills can get it done. But I think this will be a tough game.
  4. I don't think he is done coaching. I think he will be back as a defensive coordinator in 2024. But not in Buffalo. Agree part of the reason the Bills held onto his rights is if he DOES get a HC job they wouldn't want to miss on the pick. I expect they will hold onto those rights until the 2024 HC hiring cycle runs its course and then grant permission for Leslie to interview for DC roles. I expect a first time HC who is a relatively young and inexperienced guy from the offensive side to hire Leslie as his DC. I wonder even if Ken Dorsey would consider him should he get a HC gig?
  5. That is laughable. We actually played more zone as the game went on to my eye at least.
  6. I got 9/15 this week and two I changed my mind on yesterday BOTH went against me. I originally had the Buccs and the Texans and flipped them both. Grrr.
  7. Hope so. But having done the US to UK flight a fair few times in my life the jetlag is a killer. I'm sure the Bills have a plan but I'd rather be in Jacksonville's position of having been here for 2 weeks. I do think the Bills should win but I expect an ugly, scrappy kind of game. It is our hardest game until Philly IMO.
  8. Yea he was okay weeks 1 and 2 but he was exceptional last week and having a monster game yesterday. So gutted for him.
  9. This is his 11th year. He has played more than 14 games ONCE and has played fewer than 12 (i.e. missed at least a quarter of the season) FIVE times. If he had stayed healthy he might be in the Tyron Smith, Trent Williams conversation as top left tackle of the past decade. But he isn't because he is simply always hurt. Romo is horrible. Why they stopped him tipping plays I have no idea. Because it was literally the one thing he brought beyond high pitched squealing. He is like the drunk guy at the bar who just talks incessantly and makes 8 "smart guy" predictions in the first Quarter and when one of the 8 hits in the 4th is giving it the "seeee I tooooolllddddd you" yea mate... most of what you said was nonsense. I think the book is kind of already out. He loves throwing to the middle of the field and he is elite when his first read is there because he gets it out so fast and is very accurate. Once you can take away that first read he will give you chances with the ball or he will hold it and give you chances to rush him. It's easier said than done. But the Bills did it brilliantly after that first drive.
  10. 1. Mahomes was hit as he threw which affected the throw that is why it wasn't grounding. There was no receiver in the immediate area but that area wasn't where he was trying to throw. 2. Yea the officials have backed off offensive line holding this year across the league compared to the last two seasons IMO. The play where Ed Oliver got dinged yesterday he was CLEARLY held and we got away with one on the drive that ended up with Diggs' 3rd touchdown as well where looked like Dion had a pretty good hold on a defender. That is holding, but they have just not been calling it as much league wide. 3. That was a B.S. call.
  11. Yea the reason the Bills front could get home is the back end confused him, took away his first read and made him hold the ball. Tua is two Quarterbacks: Elite when his first read is there Below average when his first read is not there
  12. Dorsey will get Head Coaching interviews this offseason. He has had three very nice weeks weeks 1,2 and 4. Bit of a clunker at Washington but still got the job done. In a league continuing to veer toward offense I expect he will get interviews. As to if he left... I think it was clear when Dabes left Dorsey was the next in line. In terms of Joe Brady, I am sure the Bills would consider him but I don't think it is a slam dunk. I know they came away from their interview with Tee Martin last time really impressed and if Ken Dorsey had followed Daboll to New York (and there was 24 hours where the Bills feared he was going to) then Martin would have got the job. He has since moved over from wide receivers to quarterbacks in Baltimore. I wouldn't be stunned if they looked at him again.
  13. Jags next week is the toughest game. They have already been over here a week will be acclimatised. Bills only travel over late in the week. I am worried that will give them an advantage. Even though we are the better team. Get through next Sunday unscathed we are set for a nice little run through to the Eagles game.
  14. Their wide receivers are the worst in the league. Agree. The holding penalty on Johnson was total B.S. but that was not grounding. I mean you are not wrong there. If certain other corners played like that it would be a flag fest. The flag at the end of the Superbowl was a penalty. I can't believe we are still having that conversation. Hell, even the DB admitted he held him and was just "hoping to get away with it"
  15. Good to hear. You gotta take my adding Milano to Josh and Stef's automatic status suggestion. The guy just never has a bad game.
  16. Meh. Never particulary been a fan. Can't run routes. Pass.
  17. Last year he played like this when healthy. He was just nicked up most of the year. And the point I made right at the start of this thread on Oliver holds. The underlying analytics always supported the thesis he was playing better than the pure production numbers showed. That almost always equals out at some point.
  18. The first drive you just have to say, top offensive mind, good script, I think we tried too many run blitzes and got a caught on a couple but it just just a good offense running a well executed script. In the 2nd drive we actually did get Tua off his first read a couple of times and had chances to make plays on the ball - we just didn't make them. They took advantage. But once we started making some of those plays - tips at the line, getting Tua off his read, making him hold the ball and then rallying and hitting we dominated them.
  19. Let Daquan play it out. Everyone needs to chill. He is playing great but at his age he isn't going to have an amazing market in any event. No rush. Let's see how he lasts the season at his age. If we want him back that is a contract that will be doable in Feb or March.
  20. I hope @Freddie's Dead is okay. This is usually his thread right after the game.
  21. Josh and Diggs are the automatics per normal rules. I feel like we should add Milano to the automatic list. Sean McDermott should give himself one. The two line again. I said all week this game would be won in the trenches. And it was. The Bills were way better than the Dolphins up front.
  22. Agree although I wonder if they will just give that spot to Von? Otherwise they gotta cut a DL.... and are they ready to cut bait with Ford? They might just go Benford, Elam and Jackson with Cam Lewis and Siran Neal as their emergency depth. If someone else went down THEN they'd have to bring in a DB.
  23. I wouldn't do it now. Let's take it to the deadline and see how it looks and which teams might be selling.
  24. I was on the Rams and Texans being frisky. Cards have surprised me.
