  1. I don't recall Hardman ever demonstrating that. He is a gadget / speedster too and got beaten out by an UDFA with the Jets. I think he still has his speed whereas I am not convinced Harty does but other than that they are the same guy.
  2. I agree re running the whole tree. I think what they lack most right now is a separator (beyond Stef). Washington, Vegas and Miami sat in zone and the Bills picked them apart. Jacksonville and the Giants have basically used the same approach. Double Diggs then man up everyone else on a large % of snaps. We really need someone who can separate. I'd be in on Marshall as a buy low option though.
  3. I actually don't hate it as an idea but not for a 4th rounder. I like him coming out of LSU. I think he has had some moments in the pros but hasn't demonstrated he can perform consistently. Still I like him better than Mingo who they spent a 2nd on this past draft. If they'd take a 7th, that could become a 6th if he hits performance thresholds I'd be interested in doing it. He is a bit of a shot in the dark so much more than that would worry me.
  4. I have one. He juts the jaw out when he is raging. It is like he is really steeling himself for what is to come and the jaw juts. When he is relaxed the jaw is less protruding.
  5. No because by overrated I mean once they are in the league. Sammy Watkins didn't live up to his draft stock, but once in the league I think he was rated for what he was. Khalil Mack's accolades since he has been in the NFL - 4 x all pro, 7 x pro bowl, 1 x DPOTY, in the 2010s all decade team.... I mean he has been a good player. But I don't think he has been a great player and when you read that list of accolades it appears like a great player.
  6. We didn't score on the third possession in the second half, we missed another FG. But that play to ice the game is not on Dorsey... he dialled a good play up. Allen threw it poorly and Knox couldn't reel it in (when he probably should have). I do have issue with the play calling on that series though. The easiest down there to find the roll out pass is 1st down BUT, it is a fair challenge, ultimately had they executed better then they'd have iced it anyway. It is also a fair challenge on the earlier drives - and execution flaws definitely hurt - on the throw outside to Diggs Josh always seems to throw those a bit high as well which means the receiver loses momentum while they secure the catch and makes the tackle for the DB easier. But just generally I think the playcalling in the first half was confused. It lacked rhythm, it liked coherence and yes - we made some plays - but I'm not sure what we were trying to establish. The blame is certainly not all on Dorsey, but he did not call a good first half IMO.
  7. And not just score... they have struggled to even move the ball. It hasn't been in those games that they have been settling for 3s or stalling just outside the high red zone. They have been having to punt from their own territory in the last two weeks (week 1 they barely punted but they turned it over tons).
  8. Yea they were very strongly rumoured to have fallen out by the end of Dabes' time here. He then also tried to nick Dorsey when he got hired which probably didn't help. One of the most overrated players of the last decade IMO.
  9. I think they are upgrades from Kumerow an injured Crowder and the corpses of Brown and Beasley's careers. But they only upgraded the floor of the wide receiver room. They never did anything for its ceiling (although I confess I had higher hopes for Harty, he just doesn't seem to have the pop I remember from his Harris days).
  10. It's about consistency. They have been way too feast and famine this year.
  11. Surtain is not available. As I understand it he is pretty much the only player on that roster Denver are not willing to move. Sure if you threw a first and another high pick.... maybe that changes but I don't think that would be wise, even as much as I love Pat Surtain. I think if anything he gets to holes too early. He whiffed on a lot of tackles last week. Didn't see that on SNF. He was pretty good.
  12. I'd still have loved Addison. I know he has only been okay so far... but his skillset is what we needed.
  13. Just the NFL in 2023. Defenses have fought back a bit. Other than Miami no offense really looks like it is firing to me.
  14. I think reps and just the game slowing for him. He is so fast and playing with such energy right now that at times it is just a tad frantic and he will learn that you don't have to be in perpetual motion to be effective. But agreed last night overall was encouring for him.
  15. And there is almost no linebacker in the league who is going to hold up when a guard gets his hands on him flush at the second level. My overall take on Williams is he was better than last week for sure. He is so fast and instinctive at times he has a tendency to get to his spot too early or overrun his gap / drop point in coverage. But I'd much rather be trying to reign that in with a guy with speed, instincts and talent than trying to put AJ Klein out there knowing full well they are spots he just can't get to in time. There is a lot to like in Williams game and as the game slows down for him and as he slows himself down I think you will see a better player. I'd be interested in @HoofHearted or @Buffalo716 opinions on some of his coverage drops because they were the weakness to me last night, especially two of those shorter 3rd down completions Tyrod had where it felt like he almost outran his spot but without having looked at the A22 yet, obviously, I thought he graded pretty well against the run, chasing down plays and attacking the ball carrier.
  16. They are. What has happened is just that injuries to some of their experienced vets - particularly Tre and Milano - have meant younger guys starting. That's it really.
  17. They will start Jackson and Benford. It was a very up and down game from Elam but it wasn't the disaster some have painted it as. I'm still relaxed on where they are at corner. There isn't a true #1 on the roster without Tre but they have guys who can play.
  18. Yep. This is much more the issue than any changing of Josh or anything of that nature. Teams have reverted the past two weeks to double Diggs and man up the rest. The Bills don't have an answer at the moment because the other guys are not winning their assignments.
  19. I don't think they should have let the Bernard call go but I think it should have been holding (5 yards) rather than DPI (spot foul)
  20. He is struggling this season Knox and I have been one of his biggest fans and defenders. But so far this year he hasn't made plays when they have come to him. It wasn't a great throw by Josh (by his own admission) on that final offensive play but it was a makeable catch.
  21. Hated it. If Josh had ran on the third down and got 5 yards or so that were there for him, fine, kick it. They now are down 8, 1.10 or so and zero time out. Once they got no yardage they 100% should have punted IMO.
  22. I did see it. That wasn't the last drive of the game though. I mean in those real goal to go win or lose type plays. The DPI they called for the alleged foul against Amari Cooper was a nonsense. The crew in Buffalo threw way too many flags as well. Bad officials.
  23. He has irritated me for years.... our record at Anfield is awful and he always scores. Oh you mean the Jets Head Coach? Robert Saleh? Yea he says some weird ***** in Press Conferences.
