  1. Chiefs. I think they will be better than the past two seasons.
  2. Agree with you totally on Stevie. Contrary to the OP I don't think he is a fit for Josh.
  3. And it is particularly weak OUTSIDE. I don't think you can run a top offense without any outside threat. Kincaid is really good, Cook if he can sort out the concentration drops in the redzone is really good. Knox is better than many admit, Shakir came on nicely last year and Curtis Samuel is a solid starting calibre receiver. But none of those are true outside matchup winners. And there is a reason that in the NFL, as a rule, the outside pays better than the inside. Tackles earn more than guards. Receivers earn more than tight ends and backs. Corners earn more than safeties. Because that is where it is harder to scheme to hide your deficiencies. Outside. Where it is man on man. And if that is where you lack talent then that is a problem.
  4. AJE 9, Groot 6, Von 2. They will get at least 7 or 8 from Ed Oliver to add to that.... but beyond that agree it is a concern.
  5. No its not relevant to the point. What has stopped the Bills winning a Superbowl is one question. What will happen if Diggs and Davis tear it up elsewhere is another.
  6. I am not arguing that. The majority of that is obvious. That is irrelevant to the point I was originally responding to you on which is "what if the receivers suddenly look better elsewhere?" The answer to that question wouldn't be "ah well McDermott's defense was holding Diggs and Davis back." Those miscommunications with Gabe and overthrown deep balls to Diggs that both happened a fair amount in 2023 will be relitigated is what will happen. Whether people here like that or not.
  7. If he can't start early, agreed. Not quite there if he can't start week 1. But if by week 5 or 6 he isn't starting it is a questionable use of a premium asset.
  8. And btw I do think Diggs had lost a step and Gabe is just who Gabe is. My point isn't to suggest different. But the reasons for some of the inconsistency have, legitimately, been put at the door of the receivers. If they both shine (I don't expect they will) that assessment needs revisiting somewhat.
  9. Agreed. But some of the issues on offense last year, were on Josh. I love Josh. He is phenomenal. But he didn't play close to his best in 2023.
  10. It will mean some questions for Josh if that happens.
  11. It's safety. If Bishop can't step in right away we are in trouble.
  12. Reid is a free safety not a corner.
  13. And Knox played hurt a number of weeks and then missed a chunk of time when they finally accepted he needed sugery. If both stay healthy and they don't find an extra 16 receptions between them I'd consider that very surprising indeed. Agree with someone above.... 110 is too low to put the line.
  14. If they are not going to increase his snaps then signing him to a new deal was a mistake. AJE can rush the passer. It is everything else he struggles with. Maybe that means his snaps don't go up but I don't know who else plays? It will be very apparent very quickly that they can't roll Von out there IMO. Kelsay never could rush the passer and was also starting and playing a very high snap count. I don't think the two are at all analogous as players. I repeat I think AJE will lead the team in sacks this year. Reasons being he will have to play more because there is nobody else and they will have to simplify what they ask from him and allow him to just pin his ears back and rush.
  15. I think he is a very good offensive coordinator which possibly makes up for some of his leadership flaws as a Head Coach.
  16. I agree with every word of this save for Pittsburgh's QB situation. Russ sucks. Their best hope is that they figure out he sucks early and put Fields in and let him run.
  17. Do the fish have a good D? They haven't shown it. Better offensive weapons and a cleverer coach for sure.
  18. I think it is the Jets. I expect the Fins to take a step back.
  19. Agree they are both on the hotseat. They are at the stage where I think a winning season but no playoffs wouldn't save them. It is post-season or bust. And if they go say 10-7 on the back of a decent year by Rodgers but are blown out...... well given ARod isn't coming back in 2025 by most reports then there is the potential that would still result in firings.
  20. I did the numbers two summers ago and the Bills were in the top 3rd of the league in ST resource allocation... we were 6th or 7th from memory. What was interesting about it was almost all the top teams in the league were in the top half of the ranking.
  21. Yes, Jones and Matakevich are the two we have had who really had no role other than teams. Otherwise Kumerow, Lewis, Neal, Sherfield etc have all had roles as backups.
  22. I think AJE will lead the team in sacks. I think he is our outside best pass rusher unless Solomon really surprises. I can see AJE being in your 8-10 range and the three players listed still being under 20 combined.
