Yep. They are not a good team. Harbaugh can ra ra all he likes. But this team is not talented and not well coached. And his 1970s dinosaur offense is taking them nowhere.
I don't think that is a disagreement. It is just a comment on the three games we have played so far. We played a Miami team that our defense totally dominated. And a Jags team that was frankly pathetic. Serviceable low end starter / high end backups like Tyrod and Fitz would have won those games.
I don't think the Bills would be better than a 7 or 8 win team if they had those guys for a full year without a whole lotta luck. But I do think they would be 2-1 right now. Because McDermott and Babich took McDaniel's lunch money and the Jags had quit the moment they walked on the field.
I know they definitely wanted Ben Johnson and he had indicated he was coming then backed out. Dan Quinn may have lucked into it but he put a decent staff together and is taking the opportunity. And good for him. The Dallas D is missing him for sure.
The Bills woulda still blown out the Dolphins with a Fitz / Tyrod level QB and they'd have beaten the Jags who were hopeless but not in a blow out. They'd have lost to the Cardinals.
I don't think @NoSaint is questioning that reality. He is just saying it is, as a system, strange. And if you were starting with a blank sheet of paper it is not the model you'd design.
