  1. Two things: 1. It is a bit more than one route but it hasn't been a lot. 2. Some of us told you all before the year he isn't a great downfield receiver
  2. The issue is Jones is done. He has hit the wall. He is getting tossed like a cheap salad. And we know you can use Oliver's speed and aggression against him to get him outta position and ran into the hole.
  3. He couldn't play dime. The transitions weakness he has playing zone corner is exacerbated inside.
  4. I left the game day thread in the first quater. When I stream on gamepass at home normally it can be about 20 seconds behind but it doesn't lead to a lot of play tipping. I am on vacation in Cyprus at the moment and for some reason the stream was more like 45 to 60 seconds behind and I was getting reactions before I'd seen plays. Anyway.... the stream was otherwise pretty good.... but on the winning kick it jerked after Bass hit it.... and I couldn't see but I still had Harlan's commentary thankfully. Great moment for Bass. Life isn't about how many times you get knocked down. It is always about how you get up.
  5. Josh Tyler Davis I thought Dawkins and Brown were good too (but as ever with line play need to see it back)
  6. Yea but if there was anything downfield open sure Josh throws it. Not sure there was.
  7. They ran play action the first two plays of that drive. Nobody got open deep seemingly and Josh checked it down.
  8. Hmm both of those were designed shots and looked like nothing open
  9. I remember the hit and given how flag happy the officials were generally I was slightly surprised it wasn't called.
  10. Cook would be better than Hall everywhere.
  11. Yea 2 first doesn't get it done. But it gets them to listen. Anything less and they are not even taking your call.
  12. They would definitely leave it. As someone said above - it's 2 firsts to get Cleveland to the table.
  13. I disagree with this and I am a huge Benford fan. I predicted he'd win the job last year when he went into camp in competition with Elam and Jackson. But Sauce is an elite talent. If you want to say Benford has played better in 2024 so far, I think that is true. But Sauce has been great his first two years.
  14. No you gotta take your chances and every high sack number guy always has a game or two where they feast on bad teams. It is what it is. I think Promo is slightly over the top on Mack but I don't think he is miles off. He has been a very good NFL edge rusher. He's had a productive career. I do think there have been times when he has impacted teams. Certainly that first year and a half in Chicago he did. But I also think there is some truth to him as a stat padder too. I always remember the stat that over half his sacks for the Raiders came after week 10 on teams basically already eliminated from playoff contention. His performance in the first half of those same seasons was decidedly worse. Now I get it the Raiders sucking wasn't all on Mack but he had a tendency to rack up stats once the season wae dead. I think he has been overrated personally. Like he wouldn't get my vote for a team of the decade or anything close. Four all pros is a stretch IMO. That isn't to say he has been a bad player. He has clearly been a good player. Just not as good as the general narrative on him suggests.
