  1. As if he gets invited to parties
  2. It's still a don't know for me. I don't think it's impossible.
  3. Safety a "slight advantage"? Just Reid is a very good safety and Bryan Cook has been really consistent for them as a second round pick. That is a massive advantage. The Bills have the worst starting safeties in the NFL, the fact they haven't sunk our season is because they are well coached. And KC's linebackers actually play their responsibilities rather than having a guy running around like a spinning top in Dorian. I think Dlines are close except for they have a stud and we don't and with their injuries I might give us the edge at corner (especially boundary corner).
  4. 2 point conversion rates are down the last two years anyway. As was always predictable the more teams go for it the bigger the sample size the success rate was always likely to reduce. That said I thought the Bengals were right to try.
  5. I am with @Mr. WEO. Simplify the rule book and take challenges off the coaches. Make New York responsible for deciding when something so obviously wrong that it can be clearly seen and changed before the next play is snapped.
  6. Agree but he is playing better than ever this year and he is still adding bits to his game. It is super impressive.
  7. We have tried: full time professionals; younger guys identified and fast tracked; year round training; greater explanations and transparency; and obviously video technology in the Premier League soccer. And after all the stat the standard is worse than it was before.
  8. In exchange for that production you get multiple plays given up because he plays for himself not the team. Massively overrated.
  9. But beyond the defensive line (and let's be honest it is really Groot and Oliver we are talking about, because Von might be a big investment but he is a meh player at this stage) there is not a lot of investment in the defense out on the field. I did the breakdowns the other day. Certainly pick wise the offense has the resources now more than the D. I think the D will hold Indy below 24. Less confidenct on KC. Losing both their outside receivers just at the point that the O seemed to be taking off really sucks.
  10. I disagree. Lamar has got better. He is a better passer now than he has ever been. Todd Monken is doing a terrific job, no doubt. But you are seeing Lamar do things on film now thay he couldn't do before.
  11. The way he is playing this season? Not sure I agree. This is the best he has ever played IMO. He keeps improving. And throwing with anticipation. He used to be a "you get open then I'll throw it to you" Quarterback. He is playing at a true elite level this year as a passing Quarterback not just a dual threat guy.
  12. I think they can.. I'm just not sold. Their schedule toughens up and I am not a believer in Russ. They are the touch and go one for me.
  13. Yep, I agree. But they have Bucs, Pats, Broncos, Raiders still to come. I think they have a good coach and a good Quarterback and that keeps them above the bad teams, but they are still below the top teams.
  14. After the trade deadline I think everyone is subject to Waivers. I'm not 100% on that but was definitely the rule at one point.
  15. Put it this way I wouldn't trade him straight up for Mixon today. Really like what I see from him both as a runner and a pass catcher. To have a better career than Mixon he has a fair ways to go.
  16. I think they (and possibly the Steelers and Bengals) are the middle class of the conference. They have a low ceiling but a much higher floor than Miami, the Jets, Denver, Indy etc.
  17. I think they get to 9. If 9 does it they are in. If they get to 10 they are in. AFC is a bit of a mess after the top 4 teams and the Chargers.
  18. They definitely get to 9 IMO. If they can get to 10 they are in. Much prefer to play them in the wildcard again than Cincy.
  19. AFC E - Bills (2) N - Ravens (3) W - Chiefs (1) S - Texans (4) WC: Chargers (5), Broncos (6), Bengals (7) NFC E - Commanders (2) N - Lions (1) W - Cardinals (4) S - Falcons (3) WC: Eagles (5), Packers (6), 49ers (7) Wildcard Weekend: Bengals @ Bills Broncos @ Ravens Chargers @ Texans 49ers @ Commanders Packers @ Falcons Eagles @ Cardinals And I can see at least 4 wilcards winning those matchups.
  20. I would presume safety unless they think Coleman is out for maybe 2 weeks but back after the bye in which case not worth IR'ing but need some depth in the meantime?
  21. Friday morning reflections: - Is it just me or does this feel like the reality of the NFL this year when two above average to good teams play? Offenses start slow, defenses seem to be on top and then as the games goes on offenses work things out and it becomes a track meet. This felt similar to Bills - Dolphins last weekend in that regard and a number of other games I have seen this year. - This game was a real example to those people who luicrously hold on to the narrative that Lamar Jackson has never improved as a passer. He didn't have a perfect night and of course he still ultimately did it with his legs for one of the biggest plays in the game to get the Ravens down to the 1 for their second TD but ther were two throws in particular that Lamar threw with anticipation 2nd half that even the year he won his first MVP he just never makes. One to Andrews and one to Batemen. People can think whatever they like about the legitimacy of his MVP year last year, but he is definitely legitimately a leading contender in 2024. - I know he had a bad penalty on the Bengals final drive but other Marlon Humphrey had himself a game. This has been a week that has made think back to that 2017 corner class again. My top 3 corners that year were Lattimore, Humphrey and White. They have all had periods of elite play in the league but Humphrey in the long run may have sustained it the best. His punch out for the fumble was a critical moment in this game. - For Cincy I think we are seeing Chase Brown develop into a bit of a star. He had to wait his turn behind Joe Mixon and then, laughably, Zack Moss but the last two weeks he has broken out and both in run and pass game is an important peice for them. - Which is needed especially because what we see at the moment is a vision of the future. Burrow and Chase are great but with Higgins out currently and gone after the season they need a legit second option to step up. Iosivas has shown flashes at times but he struggled in this game, they haven't got what I'd have expected from Gesicki (who I thought would be a good fit there) and while Tanner Hudson picked up some slack in this game he is a 29 year old journeyman blocking tight end who in 6 years in the league only went over 600 receiving yards in this game. I imagine the Bengals will draft a receiver early in April. - Does it leave the Bengals out of it? No, not quite, but the next two weeks vs wildcard rivals the Chargers and the division leading Pittsburgh Steelers are vital. They will need to win both games vs Pittsburgh to have a shot IMO.
  22. Ah yea. Thought it was a jump by the Dolphins inside that threw the timing off.
  23. I agree, they are fundamentally flawed - their lines are both poor. But people are scared because they know Burrow can just get hot with those receivers.
  24. 7th team to let him go in 5 years. Reason? He is a low effort liability if you ask him to do anything other than just pin his ears back every play. Hideously overrated.
  25. Currently being seen in an AFC North stadium near you.
