  1. I don't think he was most fine. I think he was mostly bad. Not liability awful, but he is a backup and played like it.
  2. I take your point on the position element but I'd also say there is a considerably bigger gap between the best center and the 15th best than the best WR and the 15th best. That is just the nature of the game at high school and college level now. There are more uber talented players coming into the league at receiver than any other position. I think there is a legitimate argument that if you look over the last decade corner might be second in that list too. It is now an outside the numbers game as players progress up the pipleline. I think elite lineman are so valuable now because I think there are fewer. No doubt the Chiefs have elite coaching.
  3. Thuney is 100% elite. There is no question about that. Then I think McDuffie (as a slot) and Humphrey at center have a shout too.
  4. Is linebacker a need? They have Milano coming back, Bernard who was excellent last year, a 3rd round pick they presumably still want to develop in Williams and Spector who was fine in spot duty as backup. I see it as the one position they don't have a need - beyond probably needing a 5th body for the backend of the roster.
  5. I have no idea where we are cap wise. Too many unknowns. But I still think we have a major need for a vet safety before this first phase is through. Other than that I'm happy to wait it out - try and find a cheaper vet WR option and then look to the draft.
  6. Mixon kinda sucks. He has averaged over 4.1 yards per carry ONCE in seven seasons. He is just a volume based accumulator.
  7. And the match going Chelsea fans I know are where I was back in 2019.... going to games feeling it impossible to associate with any of the mercenaries on the pitch for them. That club is a mess at the moment.
  8. Another guy I put up as a sleeper in his draft class. UDFA turned paid second contract. Congrats kid. I think Geno Stone went, right? Byard went, McKinney went and Savage went. So some names did come off the board. It has thinned out a bit.
  9. Ed Oliver is top 10 and he is closer to 5 than 10. After Allen (and finger crossed Milano) the next two closest to elite are Oliver and Taron unless Stef gets back to his best.
  10. When the wall comes for those big guys it comes fast. I'd have preferred one year $8m and kick some of that money into a void year to make it fit than two years $16m. I'm not sad that he is back so much as I thought it should be a year at a time for him at this stage of his career.
  11. Yeah it is my favourite deal of the ones they've done. Can he be an every down starter is the question.... but he can rush the passer and we need someone to rush the passer. EDIT: I should say I thought he'd get more on the market. I was thinking three years $39m something like that. I wouldn't have gone to that if I was the Bills, but in a thin edge rusher free agent class and with a thin draft class after the top 3 or 4 guys I think AJ came in a little under his market value at $10m AAV.
  12. Chelsea are terrible that's why. Northampton Town is a team. But they won't be sniffing the Premier League any time.
  13. Don't love it. DQ has been great for us but he is old and coming off an injury. Hopefully there is a cheap out after 1 of those 2 years. What bringing he and AJE back does do is make sure we are not desperate at DL going into the draft.
  14. Good on my gut Bryce Huff getting 3 years $51m from the Eagles. I loved him coming out. Travesty he ended up an UDFA. He has proved himself at every turn. Wish him the best.
  15. Yea, I get that. But they are thin for special teams. I know some people just dismiss that. I don't personally and I know the Bills don't. I just think the terms of this deal as reported has almost no impact on their ability to build the top of their roster.
  16. Atlanta needed a Quarterback. No idea what the Vikings plan is now.
  17. This is about special teams is the answer. Now I am not about to tell you Cam is a great teams player in the way I did defending Taiwan Jones in the era when his roster presence wound some people up. However, with Matakevich and Neal gone the fact they brought Lewis back doesn't surprise me. He did actually play pretty well on defense last year when he got his chances too. I am less bothered about this deal than I am the Taylor Rapp one but I agree it is a strange one to prioritise day 1.
  18. That is your Siran Neal replacement at a cheaper cost basically.
  19. Yep. He was always gonna get around $14m IMO and a couple of the top guys staying put has bumped him into the $16m plus range.
  20. No. I'd let someone trade up and take him.
  21. I did say that the tag decision was an odd one unless it was tag and trade.
  22. I don't think Aiyuk is elite either. It isn't about numbers for me so much as it is about film. He is just a tick below an elite level talent. He doesn't dominate corners in that same way. On the other two - Thuney 100% is elite. And so is McDuffie (but with the caveat that he is an elite slot corner. He is not a proven elite boundary corner).
  23. Yes. 2020-2022. He was never the best receiver in the NFL but he was for a period absolutely the best route runner in the league and a sure fire top 5 guy overall. He wasn't that guy for much of last year. Working out how and why is the task the team has.
