  1. The short pass on a critical third down in the second half.
  2. My gut feeling is that we are robbing Peter to pay Paul. Trying to win now but in the long run not making the playoffs and in the meantime hindering our QB of the "future".
  3. Yet Eric dropped 2 key passes in the loss to NO.
  4. Sorry in advance for yet another JP/JH thread. On an intellectual level I can understand starting KH this week. This sunday is basically a must win situation for this team right now. A home loss to a division foe would be devestating to the teams psyche. The coaching staff is obviously going with who they think will give us the best chance to win. From what little I know about KH he seems like a capable QB with enough experience to give the offense a badly needed spark for the short term. Press reports indicate that the offesive veterans support this move, so maybe team chemistry played a role in the decesion. On an emotional level I am against the benching of JP. It has a whiff of singling him out for the poor performance of the team so far this year. Yeah he has been struggling, but that is not unreasonable to expect with a first year starter. I do not think the coaching staff has had good game plans in place to help minimize JP's in- experience. We also have been struggling on the defensive side of the ball. It is a team effort (including coaching) that we sit at 1-3 at this point in the season. I was glad the Bills decided to part ways with Drew Bledsoe. Not because I thought we would magically appear in the Super Bowl this year with his departure, but because I felt that DB had taken this team as far as he was going to ( 3 years and no playoffs) and it was time to build around a new QB. What frustrates me is that DB was never benched when he struggled. He would go games without a TD pass, and started last season 0-4, yet he never got benched for a "spark". Yet JP gets the hook in 2 games and now is being handed the clip board this week. I don't understand how JP is going to learn riding the pine. He has been studying game film since the end of last season, and has been the starting QB in mini/training camps and pre-season and now after 4 games we are throwing in the towel on him? He is going to need game experience if he is ever going to take the next step. Are we just pushing off to the future the inevtiable growing pains we need to work though now? I hope and pray that this is right decesion for this team.
  5. It's hard to fine a ray of sunshine in how awful we've played lately. Certainly the negative nellies have plenty of ammunition. You have to admit that this team is misfiring on offense/defense and coaching. I don't think anybody will be writing anything positive about the Bills on Monday.
  6. Based on his performance the past 2 years and his high cap number next year, Moulds will be gone unless he takes a substantial pay cut. And what has happened to Lee Evans? He has dissapeared from the offense faster than a twinkie at at weight watchers meeting.
  7. He dropped a couple today he should have had, especially one on third and short before JP got benched.
  8. Yeah that dam is getting ready to burst wide open, derseverdly so IMO.
  9. Now we have QB controversy to boot. I did not like the benching of JP. It's not like Holcomb is lighting up the scroeboard.
  10. Now I'm beginning to lose hope we can turn this thing around. Looking forward to upcoming QB controversy this week?
  11. I'm not ready to jump off the Peace Bridge yet.
  12. Didn't 2 people get arrested for getting their freak on in the upper deck of RWS during a game?
  13. Morehead City, NC. I'm in the middle of a 3 day break so I am following this on the internet like everybody else. There will be a new update from the NHC at 11 PM.
  14. NWS.
  15. Yes, I' m pretty sure Gilbert had the lowest pressure.
  16. Since I'm a meteorologist, I feel I can offer some insight. Yes, the 165 mph winds are flight level winds...but winds this strong can mix down down in gusts to the surface in the heavy squalls surrounding the eyewall. For intense well organized storms like this, the National Hurricane Center uses a 90% reduction, i.e. they take off about 10% of the max flight level winds to determine the max surface wind gusts. I am not an alarmist by nature, but what we are looking at now in satellite is a perfect storm. Just about eveything a hurricane needs to intensify is occurring with the storm. Very warm water, low shear, symeterical outflow. I beame alramed earlier today when I saw the small eye and pefrectly symetrical very cold cloud tops surrounding the storm. Rita will likely continue to intensify for the next 12-18 hours, especially now that she is crossing the warm loop current. Fortunately storms this strong have a hard time maintaining this intensity and it should "weaken" down to category 4 storm after 24 hours, if not sooner. It is difficult to accurately forecast shear far out in time, so hopefully Rita will encounter some soon. I also think that the storm could encounter some dry mid level air which would also weaken her. Realistically I do not see how this storm could drop below category 3 since the gulf water temperatures will remain above 80, and a category 4 at landfall is very possible.
  17. If we can survive 4 consecutive Super Bowl losess we can perservere through anything. I too have been fan of the Bills since the 60s. My earliest memories of the team were to be sitting on my granfathers porch on the west side listening to Van Millers call of the game on the radio. The first game my dad took me to was at the old Rockpile. We lost to the Baltimore Colts that day, but I was hooked. When I got older and could afford to, I went to most of the home games and finally became an official season ticket holder the year Jim Kelly signed. Unfortunately, my career took me away from WNY in 1994 and I could no longer attend games at the Ralph. But thanks to the TSW and Diretc-tv we can keep up with our team and still be part of Bills community.
  18. Keg, I could not have not said it better myself. There is no need to be a hater now that DB is not part of our team. We obviously needed to move in another direction and we did.
  19. Great advice. Good luck mcjeff. Looks like the tide is turning in your favor.
  20. That interception he threw in the first half that WV returned for td was gift.
  21. 5 turnovers and only 7 points! It's going to be another long year for the Orange.
  22. Are you related to Deeray?
  23. Amen. I donn't know where this TD ego schit got satrted but it is getting beyond old.
  24. Godspeed. I'll be praying for your safe return.
