  1. F**k Kemp, we shouldda traded him instead of Darryl Lamonica, I'm still haunted about that one ... For '65 - '73 throwbacks, I'd like to wear a # 86 Marlin Briscoe jersey ... or Bob Chandler # 81
  2. Nah ... needs blue pants IMHO ... all white ... white w/ blue pants
  3. Perhaps Dr Phil is going to have to settle this ...
  4. The JETS slightly tweaked their throwbacks when bringing them back that many of their fans didn't even notice ... Originally the logo had pointed tips, just like a football. They then rounded off the pointed tips when bringing it back. Also, their logo was on more of an angle, now it sits more leveled ... JETS Helmet 65-71 .... JETS current helmet I'd love to see us bring back those uni's, as long was we keep the black shoes, the 1965 socks like we had on today, and blue pants for road games like in 1973
  5. Your guess IS most likely correct Dan ... as Fezmid guessed earlier in this thread, gameballs are awarded in the locker room that was most likely a ball from the final offensive snap ... Fezmid wins a fiver $5
  6. (2) Totally agree The black shoes totally complimented them ... we always wore white when donning those uniforms in 60's and early 70s The black totally brings out the best in them, and those socks, nice ...
  7. (2) ... I'm with ya on that ... providing we bring back the blue pants for the road games like we did in 1973 Make the ones from the Super Bowl years the alternates, and totally shítcan these lousy new Navy ones ...
  8. Don't matter whom you play for ... a FUMBLER is a FUMBLER, 'eh lads ..
  9. Thank fupp McGahee's okay ... We'd of all gone limp mighty quick 'eh ...
  10. we wore those uniforms until the close of the 1973 season, not just 60's friend the only thing from 60's are the socks ... and the BLACK SHOES are wicked ... love it !!
  11. the biggest fupping woody watching us in those medium blue jerseys white helmets ... gray facemasks that red standing still Buffalo socks from 1965 and those black shoes !!!! we shouldda done this ages ago The only thing missing is Marlin Briscoe, Bob Chandler, and JD Hill !!! FUPPING BRILLIANT !!!!
  12. I'll bet it especially makes you remember Guy Trottier and wanna shout outloud: Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!! In the days of Brown, Red, Blue, and Gray seats at the Aud before the roof was raised
  13. It'll be the first time since 9th Dec 1973 we'll have worn that blue jersey w/ that helmet We won that day, beating New England 37-13 at RICH ... The following week we closed the season beating the NY Jets 34-14 at Shea Stadium, but wore white jerseys with blue pants .. same helmet as we'll have on today and ... Last time we wore them for a home opener was 1973, against NY Jets, we won 9-7 on 30th Sep 1973 another win in them beckons today lads ...
  14. (2) well said
  15. How about Dos Equis in the green bottle ? Lager version ...
  16. I would hope that you're on a windup and that you really have DIRECTV/NFL Sunday Ticket If you're not, good luck getting the BILLS game, as this is doubleheader week for FOX, NOT CBS With the PANTHERS at home at 1 pm ET, the odds of CBS showing the BILLS v HOUSTON game opposite the Carolina game in that same time slot is slim & none ... As far as the pickles, I'd suggest these : Pickles for the BILLS game
  17. Nope .. Mr Whipple's Place or something like that ??
  18. In Anaheim on Ball Road, just east of the Santa Ana Fwy there used to be another bar & restaurant that was exclusively for BILLS fans, and the name of it just won't come to me. Anybody know that one ? I used to go there before I knew about Bobby McGhees, so yer talkin' very early 90's here ... Don't know if they're still happenin' ...
  19. That'd be their 'crystal' anniversary ... Do I win $50 ? (I need to fill may tank with gas)
  20. I would imagine that the vast amount of the regulars who used to meet at Bobby McGhee's probably have DIRECTV now and watch us play in the confines of their own homes, I sure do ... Was fun meeting up back then though ... and it was quite roomy there and it rocked ..
  21. Larry Felser ? Never heard this Miami thing before though from when I read about the AFL .. I keep finding out new things about our great team ... cool
  22. CORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRONA'S of course ....
  23. No Dan ... never heard that one before, don't believe it to be true. In 1959 the AFL originally went into business with 6 clubs, but then shortly afterward they decided to go with 8 by adding Buffalo & Boston Ralph gave us the name 'BILLS' as a tribute to the original club from the AAFC in the late 40's Ralph was a businessman in Detroit who took the BILLS because it's so close to his business in Detroit, which is the reason why our colors were identical to the Detroit Lions in our first 2 seasons ... Original BILLS Helmet 60 & 61
  24. I remember right before I got my DIRECTV & NFL Sunday Ticket in Nov '94, everyone use to meetup at Bobby McGee's in Burbank right off the 5 Fwy ... Was fun times there, but damn the food was shít ! They were closed down from what I had heard ...
  25. Easy now limey boy, you're not on the friendly confines of your english SOCCER chat sites here, you haven't any of them hooligan twots to protect n support ya over here ... Us Yanks carry firearms ..
