I don't know what's going to happen with a team that's got a banged up QB and missing two key OLmen.
They don't exactly have a cake schedule either.
If you're prepared to throw in the towel, fine.
I think it's at least one loss too early to do that.
Concussion protocol doesn't apply to elite players

Not really.
Beat Houston and they'll own the tie-breaker on them.
Beat the Jets and they'll own the tie-breaker on them.
From there, you need only finish ahead of Pittsburgh, which means winning 4 of your last 5 and having Pittsburgh lose 3 of their remaining games, which include match-ups with Indy, Cincinnati, and Denver, plus road games against Cleveland and Baltimore, who I'm sure would like to spoil their fun.
Regardless, this is hardly a time to tank for draft position.
You really think Pittsburgh is going to lose 3 of their remaining games? Chiefs Steelers are your wild cards

The defensive line has aged, the Bills depth at the line is terrible, and looking at it we need to look to bolster and build for the future. A lot of the trades being swung were agreed upon through Rex, Whaley, and ownership. McCoy fits the offensive, the defensive line looks much worse for wear because we did not count on the injury factors, and an aging duct tape all-stars line. Hughes can switch into a hybrid role of coverage and edge rushing. Which could replace Mario and could be the end of Whaley.
No depth is right. Scary thing is, this team has a ton of holes if you really think about it.

Its really one and a half spots. Bills are in bad shape if it comes down to tiebreakers

I'm still trying to figure out how he got around the long-standing prohibition against owning two franchises in one city. He's a wizard.
The rule states that one person cannot own two franchises that are in different markets. Sabres and Bills are in the same market, so it does not break any rules.

I think Hue Jackson is a good mind. Probably should have gotten the job in Buffalo but Rex had a sleepover at the Pegulas, probably over a bottle of wine.
-
Some unfortunate team (probably the Browns) will end up signing Tyrod to a Russell Wilson type contract, only to realize that his production was only a result of Greg Roman's system. Tyrod becomes the next RGIII.
-
I know you all think I'm a troll, but I think Pegula has done pretty well with both franchises. Hiring Rex was their biggest mistake, but other than that what could you possibly complain about
-
Texans 30, Bills 13
Tyrod can't get going, gets overwhelmed by Houston defense.
Brian Hoyer is bad, but Bills defense is worse
-
Is a troll technique to deflect an argument they are losing.
You guys wouldn't be so easy to piss off if the Bills won once in a while
-
Did the Bills win that game?
-
The only blemish of that trade is McCoy's age. RBs are known to slow down starting around age 27. Google it
-
Here is who should go: Robey, Carpenter, Rex, Dennis Thurman, Greg Roman, the entire offensive line except for Incognito who probably has 1 year left of football, Preston Brown, and all of the safeties except for Corey Graham. If you replace those positions wisely, then you might have a playoff team.

Ahh, reminds me of when Kounadjio hired that doctor to tell the Bills his knee was not shot. Maybe that wasn't 100 percent accurate
-
Trent Edwards didn't throw many picks either. Did we win a superbowl with him? No? Did we at least make the playoffs?

You let me know next time you see him reading the field. He is a one read quarterback. Why does every Bills QB have to be so polarizing? I thought it was just an EJ thing. EJ sucked plain as day but there was a fringe contingent that insisted "we couldn't know yet" and he had this magical upside because he is tall or something. Now, Taylor is a decent starting NFL QB, most everyone agrees with this, no one is deeming him the answer yet but that same fringe contingent is at it in full force once again, this time insisting that he sucks. You would think that everyone could just agree that the guy has exceeded most expectations, he's got some pretty damn good numbers, maybe needs to be more decisive and the jury is still out. I think 99% of us would agree on all that. What are people even arguing about?
-
The thread is nuts because of its very premise: the qb sucks despite having an objectively good season that has been better than anyone here ever expected--and the best season by a bills' qb this millennium (even though he has notable flaws).
He passes the stats test but fails the eyeball test
-
You know what's stupid? Scoring 10 and 13 points through the air per game. And then acting like the guy is our savior
-
I didn't say that he should be benched. I said he would be benched if this were a different franchise
-
I also realize that Taylor would be benched too if his replacement weren't a high school calibre player
-
Kaepernick beat the packers in the playoffs with his legs. Taylor barely beat the Titans doing so.
And you are telling me it took teams multiple years to adjust their gameplan? Sure its not that Jim Tomsula is his coach?
-
Well Kaepernick made it to a Superbowl. When is the last time the Bills did that?
-
Forced to throw from the pocket. Do you mean like how Bellichick did to Taylor a week ago@ how did that turn out
-
I am a Bills fan. Just tired of the losing.
From what I have seen, Taylor locks onto his primary receiver and does not see the field. So basically it comes down to either throwing it to the primary or checking it down, which is basically what he does.
But recently I did some research on Kaepernick, and it is evident that he is atleast somewhat better in this area (of mental skill)We have a QB with 14 TD's vs. 4 INT and a QB rating of 101.8 and there are 42 pages of people discussing whether or not he "sucks". Take a look around the league and see how many QB's have had this level of success. Are you guys even watching the games? Tyrod has been solid if not spectacular. He is far from the reason this team is not succeeding. It comes down to coaching and play calling on both sides of the ball. This staff is trying to prove how smart they are and in the process has hamstrung the players and prevented them from winning football games that they should win.
Spectacular at 5-6....
