Well he's stepped up twice and won us games. GW drives and all that.
He almost blew his knee out to beat the 2-14 Titans, and a high school quarterback could have made the read and completion to a wide open Clay
-
Don't do it, you will be persecuted for sharing an unpopular opinion. It is not allowed to speak the truth about Taylor.
I am brave, and I love my team.
-
Can we stop celebrating cute stats? He throws no INTs because he takes no chances and once won a game with 11 completions.
It's a shiny toy and you guys are helpless if you can't see that every time we need a win late he is not capable of making the tough throws. He chokes. If it's not a layup to Clay with no defense on the field the passing game is awful.
Seriously, wake up. His stats are not sustainable in games where we need to throw. Look at this game. 50% completion. It's garbage and you are still mesmerized by squeezing out wins against the Titans and Texans. He is the most overrated player on this team and all of his stats will regress to the mean when he is called upon to make throws to win.
You guys say that he's the fifth rated passer? The fourth rated passer (Tom Brady) has 230 MORE passing attempts than him. It's not sustainable. You'd have to be a complete sucker to think that he's the 5th best quarterback in the NFL!This. Well Said.

The previous play makes the next play that much harder when your behind the sticks. Hes not perfect but the kids got 5 picks on the season and some solid numbers. Its his first year starting. I love the kid.
I could go out there and not turn the ball over. If that's your metric of success, you need a new one.

JP Losman had 6 game winning drives in 45 games. Tyrod is 1/3rd of the way there on 1/4th of the opportunities.
The Falcons were 1/3 of the way to the 1st seed in the NFC. Oops.
-
So you'd rather tie the game than win it, and you are weighing tying higher than winning? Cool. I will say again, he has had a game winning drive in 2 of his 11 starts.
Jp Losman had a few game winning drives. You want to give him a call and see what he is up to? Didn't think so
-
He's played 11 games and already has 2 game winning drives according to the TV cast yesterday
I said game tieing drives. Drives at the end of the game to tie it. In these situations, does anyone really think we have a chance? In my gut I know that we don't. It was like the EJ Manual final drive against Jacksonville. I think we all just knew that Manuel wasn't going to get it done. And I think we all feel the same way about Taylor but most are in denial.

Think about this - just this one play- it was third and long- TT extends the play and keeps his eyes down field- Sammy refuses to come back for the ball. If he does its a first down and the chains move. Our receivers habitually quit on their routes.
I can buy that, but what about the next play when he sails the ball over Robert Woods head into double coverage?
-
Does the game in TEN count?
He's still a developing QB who's is simply not a finished product. I think we all know this.
Yeah... JP Losman threaded a needle to the back of the end zone against Houston ten years ago. I'm not still hangin on that
-
He's much better than past QBs, for sure. I wish the Bills could just put a complete team together.
If it's not the offense, it's the defense or vice versa. Just be a complete team for once!
It is true that he is the best QB of the drought, but that's like saying he is the fastest Honda Civic

Yeah... and Trent Edwards and EJ Manuel are probably still developing too.

This guy is 0-5 on game tieing drives in the 4th quarter. He is mostly a one read quarterback. Almost all of his throws are to the sidelines. He is good at the deep ball, but we have had other QBs that were good at the deep ball since Kelly retired. Didn't get us anywhere.
The twin towers were standing the last time the Bills played a playoff game.
-
And they only beat the Jets because their tight end didn't see the ball in the end zone in the 4th quarter

Meanwhile, MMA, a sport where people stand toe to toe and punch each other in the head, is one of the fastest growing sports in the country.
MMA doesn't require assembling a thousand of the best athletes on earth. Also, MMA only appeals to a segment of the population. I was sitting next to an elderly lady at the bar today while she rooted for her redskins. Tough to see MMA fanfare spreading past rednecks
-
I hate the Patriots, but tough to see anyone in AFC beating them. Maybe if Peyton gets healthy.
I think Panthers hoist the Lombardi tromphy this year
-
The win total from last year was a bit flukey. We were on the edge of being 6-10. If Orton doesn't convert two miraculous 4th and 20s on GW drives and Brady doesn't sit out second half of week 17, that's 3 more losses.
Jordy Nelson drop

Matures into a steaming pile of manure?Great post. This board is full of knee-jerk reactionists. I wish people would calm down and give this team time to mature. Sometimes that means you don't go to the playoffs. Get over it.
They are devolving
-
Soon it will be able to vote, and then the next milestone - the first legal beer!!!! Oh, how our team is growing up so fast.
Rated R movies this time next year!

To Jerry Hughes and Marcell Dareus: you guys got paid and stopped playing?
-
I think Terry (rightfully so) is probably worried about concussions and the future of football. So that leaves public money and in New York there's not a lot of money to go around. So you guys trying to build seniority, that might be a bridge to nowhere
-
It's the longest active drought in major north american sports. The twin towers were standing the last time the Bills made the playoffs

Let's not turn this into a Taylor thread. You know as well as anyone that as a general rule (Brady and Roethlisberger excluded), the less a QB has to throw the football, the better the team's chance of winning. If you told me Taylor would either throw 25 times today or 40, I would tell you the Bills chances were better if he threw 25. It's a chicken and egg thing.
No one wants their QB to do that. My biggest gripe with the gameplan today was that Taylor took too many shots and didn't take what the defense was giving him. Not sure if that falls on Taylor or Roman but my guess is it's on Taylor. Again, they could've dinked and dunked their way into FG range on that last drive in their sleep.
Did you watch Brady play the ravens in the playoffs last year? They might have run once in the second half.
-
NO, no, no, no, no. 16 years and counting. No.
-
Yes, that was one game. That is generally not his deal.
If Alex Smith shows he can do it, that means he is physically able to do it. You guys think that he doesn't have the arm, but he does. He is just a classic game manager that is told not to do it.

Reading the defense. WHAT? Do you watch the games?
